We have been using Home Instead, Northampton for almost three years, providing care for my mother who has been diagnosed with Vascular Dementia. The carers have been consistent (very important for us) and have done everything asked of them. We have regular review meetings to ensure care is appropriate and making changes where required. Communication is very good from the team at the local office, which again is very important. We would definitely recommend them.
Thank you for this lovely review. We believe it is important to review care support regularly. We work with both our clients and their families to ensure we provide care that adapts to changing needs to provide holistic care.
My Aunt who has live in care due to her Alzheimer's was recently hospitalised. Home Instead continued to visit every day for a prolonged period to keep her company and to provide emotional care and support. We cannot fault the carers compassion and kindness. We have used them for 3 years now and have no hesitation in recommending them
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a this lovely review. We are happy to have been able to do this for your Auntie, especially knowing how far away you both live and the incredible support you give.
The carers who look after my mum are friendly and caring. Very happy with the level of support and care she receives. I find the app very helpful as I do not live near my mum so being able to read the notes is very useful and if I have any concerns I can contact the office. The office staff are very friendly and helpful
Thank you for taking the time to leave this lovely review, I am so glad you find the app useful other families say it helps put their mind at ease too.
I have used this service for the last 3 months and found it to be very good. The carers are all reliable, kind and sensible. Having the app is useful to see what is going on. The reports show a high level of compassion, to... and understanding. The admin staff have also been helpful, especially when plans have had to change at short notice.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We always try to meet our clients changing needs, and work with their families and I'm pleased you have benefited from this.
The people who attend are very good, helpful and kind.
Thank you for taking the time to leave this review, we always appreciate good feedback.
All the ladies who cared for my husband were very pleasant and we enjoyed meeting them. They were also willing and helpful.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us this review, we were very glad to be able to help you out at such short notice and so glad your husband recovered quickly.
Extremely good, kind and helpful staff, always on time. Nothing is too much trouble. The girls go out of their way to anticipate, manage and adapt to everything. Very helpful and kind during the demise of my husband.
Thank you so much for your kind words. Your care team always thought a lot of both you and your husband and we are all glad to continue supporting you. I will pass on your kind words to the Care professionals.
I am having excellent care from two very nice ladies who are a pleasure to work with they are so kind caring and helpful.
Thank you for this lovely review and we are happy that you feel your time with our Care Professionals is beneficial.
I look forward each morning to having my carer. Each one is cheerful and the majority of them have a wonderful smile. All of them are efficient and treat me with dignity. Which I appreciate at my age - 96. I like learning about their families and activities.
We are very glad that you look forward to your visits every day and that your care professionals are meeting all your needs. Thank you for this lovely review.
We chose Home Instead on the recommendation of a friend who had found the service to be extremely good. We have also been really happy with the service provided. A small team of carers visit and take such good care of my husband and offer me wonderful support. All of the carers are very friendly, caring and efficient and we feel very lucky to have such a professional and kind team supporting us to take care of my husband here at home.
Thank you for such a wonderful review. We are so glad that you and your husband are happy and feel well-supported, our Care professionals enjoy their visits with you too.
Caring and helpful. Wish it was a bit less expensive.
Thank you for taking the time to leave this review. I am glad our Care Professionals are supporting you well. Sadly, we do understand the concerns around cost.
The level of home care is excellent. The carer not only gets everything done but is a real friend to my mum and she looks forward to her visits. Literally, nothing is too much trouble. It's also reassuring that things are followed up by head office. The meeting with the m one of the staff was useful.
We are so pleased that you took the time to send in this lovely review and that you are happy with the care professionals and office support.
I am very satisfied with the care Home Instead give me. The carers are kind and work efficiently. My family do not live near to me, it's a comfort for them to know I get a visit each day.
We are glad that you feel well supported and our Care Professionals are kind, then this enables your family to have peace of mind.
Using Home Instead has freed up valuable time for me, as Mum's primary carer and I feel reassured that they are taking good care of her. Thank you!
Thank you for your kind words, we are so glad that we are able to support both you and your mum in this way.
We have been blessed to have continuity with the same familiar faces which has been essential to my husband's needs having had Alzheimer's and vascular dementia for 9 years.
Thank you for your lovely review, the Care professionals enjoyed their outings with your husband and yourself when you joined them too.
Home Instead looked after my mother in her own home for several years. They were fantastic. The staff were genuinely interested in her well-being. They washed her, showered once a week, sorted meals, washing up and washing. They were very organised and if anything g was running out, they would let you know in advance so you could do something about it. Mum got to the stage where she could not continue at home otherwise she would still be enjoying their help and company. Wholeheartedly recommend them.
Thank you. Our care professionals always try to involve family and keep them informed. I'm so glad Mum is moving closer to be where the family can visit on a regular basis.
I am very pleased with the care. I receive each day. The carers are very kind and helpful.
My father is receiving daily visits from his Home Instead team and they are so supportive and helpful. He wants to remain as independent as he can for as long as he can and their support enables him to do that. Their visits see to his needs but also provide good company for him and have helped restore his well-being after he had to move out of his home of many years. My family and I are very grateful to have their help.
Home Instead are the reason my Dad is still able to live at home is his beloved bungalow. I'm an only child trying to hold down a full time job whilst trying to assist all my father's needs. Without Home Instead, he would have been in a full-time care home by now which would have been against his wishes. He wants to stay in his home until he gets carried out in a box, that's his words, not mine. We are doing everything we can to make that a reality. The care team are fantastic and deals with my father as a friend rather than a client. They look after all his needs including doing his shopping for him when I'm unable to do that. I thank the team for their continued support and for making my Dad's wishes come true. It can't be easy, as he is in mid-stage Dementia and has no comprehension of anything other than what the weather is like. Thank you, Home Instead for supporting me and my family. You make a huge difference to our lives and more importantly, my Dad's life.
Thank you for taking the time to leave such a lovely review. We are glad that working with Home Instead is supporting you and your dad so well. We will ensure this lovely message is relayed to Dad's team of carers
We looked at all of the alternatives for Mum including residential care, live-in help, etc but one of the services offered by Home Instead (Northampton) fitted the bill perfectly. Daily contact to help with shopping, cooking and cleaning, as well as the all-important mental stimulation through contact and interaction. Too many different carers to start with wasn't ideal but now that the routine has settled into two principal carers, my mum is more than happy with the service offered.
Hi Gyles. Thank you so much for the lovely review. We really do appreciate your feedback and we are glad that the service is now working for Mum. I will pass on the lovely words to the teams.

Meet the Team (5)
I have a Level 5 in Management in Health and Social Care and am completing a Level 5 in General Management.
My name is Emma Bennett, I have 32 years of experience working as a nurse in the NHS. I have worked for Home Instead since 2018, which means I have 36 years experience of working with people across all age groups.
I now work with the Care Professional Team at Home Instead where I share the role of training and the development of our Care Professionals and key players. This includes supporting them with their inductions and then ongoing support and training. My main role is ensuring and maintaining compliance with Care Professional development and mandatory training, to both Home Instead and CQC standards.
Hi, my name is Hannah Rootes. I have worked for Home Instead Northampton since August 2020 and have recently joined the Client Experience Team. A big part of my role is that I go and meet new clients and create their Care Plans so that we and our Care Professionals can provide the best level of care possible. When I do this my focus is always, on what our clients want to achieve and what is important to them- our clients are at the centre of everything I do. I have lived in Northampton all my life and have enjoyed growing up here. In my life, I have seen all aspects of care, where before working for Home Instead I cared for the family. Due to this, I use all of my experience as a family member of a loved one needing care and as a Care Professional to ensure all of our Clients receive the best care we can provide.
When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, especially my daughter. I also love to read good books and go for a scenic walk where I can take some photographs with my DSLR camera.
I have been in healthcare for 18 years and have loved every minute of it. I have worked with children, young adults, and the elderly, all within Care Homes and Domiciliary settings.
I started work in Domiciliary care as a Carer, upon returning from maternity leave I was promoted to a Senior. I later progressed to being a Trainer, Scheduler, Deputy Manager and now Recruitment Manager with Home Instead.
I have only been at Home instead for just over a year and everyone is very welcoming, caring and passionate about what they do.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, going camping, being outdoors and plenty of movie nights.
My name is Charlee Kaye. I have worked in the Care Sector for 8 years, where I have worked for Home Instead for most of this time. I am a part of the Client Experience team at Home Instead Northampton, where I ensure our client’s experience with Home Instead is what they want. This may be from completing reviews with our clients, attending client visits and supporting Clients and Care Professionals with their needs on a day-to-day basis.
I have always lived in Northampton, where I have raised my family. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family. I enjoy going on holidays, attending social events, and living life to the full. Before joining Home Instead, I trained to become a hairdresser and spent 10 years in a salon. This has given me lots of experience in communicating with clients and understanding their needs.
