Nexus Care Services

Nexus have been providing care for my father since November 2020 after having major surgery. As I myself live in the Channel Islands and considering current circumstances, it was very quick and easy to set up the care that my dad needed, taking a huge responsibility off my shoulders. We couldn’t have asked for a better service, which often goes above and beyond usual requirements. I would not hesitate for one moment, in recommending them to anybody in similar circumstances.

Very impressed with the care my father-in-law is receiving. Carers and the agency will notify us immediately of concerns and regularly check with us regarding his progress and our concerns. The majority of the carers have taken the time to get to know him and his ways and there are some really lovely staff.

All carers and managers/office staff are wonderful. Very caring and considerate, even though they have to put up with a lot. I know it's their job and it's what we pay for, but it does take a lot of weight off me, especially when I'm not on the doorstep. I wouldn't be without them.

I can honestly say Nexus have been the best care company I have ever been with. They listen, are willing to learn above my conditions, take time and, if time allows, will go the extra mile. The carers seem happy and it's the first time I have not heard complaining about the office staff from the carers. I could write so much more.

At a time when I needed help, I received an immediate positive response, and when within a few days, I urgently asked for the extra help, it was provided within minutes. The staff were pleasant, friendly, willing and knowledgeable.

Since I have had your service, I have found the carers all caring and helpful. We all have a good chat and laugh. And when I have had falls, they have made sure I was alright until the ambulance came.

Following a severe stroke, we decided to have our father home for a period of time. He needed expert nursing care. The carers we had were amazing. They took time to get to know dad and his likes and dislikes. He was a very proud man and he was treated with dignity and compassion. His every need was met and they always turned up when they said. Nothing was too much trouble. Our experience was wonderful and would highly recommend the Nexus.

I am very pleased with the way things have developed with Nexus. They are very much better than the first carer company we tried. They are reliable and competent, and my mum is delighted with them, most particularly by the early morning cup of tea she gets with her medication. It has been very easy to make any adjustments we needed to the care package and the communication has been excellent. I am glad we found them and happy that my mum is getting the support she needs to remain in her own home.

We have been using Nexus Care Services for the last couple of years. I cannot fault the care my mum receives. All the carers are fabulous, kind and willing to help wherever they can. They are always on time and are very flexible if we have to alter times for any reason.

Nexus have been providing care for my sister on a monthly basis since March 2020. I am the family contact for her and have been liaising with her care manager and support personnel on a regular basis. Changes needed for her care and wellbeing has always been dealt with promptly and efficiently. Everyone has worked very hard to maintain a regular daily care schedule which is important to her. Requests for any change in routine are listened to carefully to make sure they understand what is required. The reply is always kind and caring, giving me no doubt they will do their best to help. In the current situation, it is not easy for them, but they never fail to provide the care needed. I am truly impressed by the genuine concern for my sister, which I hear in the voices of any of the carers and office personnel. The family all agree that my sister is having the best care possible. It is good to know that Nexus want what the family want - for my sister to be cared for and happy.

My son and I have been very impressed with Nexus. They always do more thank I expect, they are friendly, caring and trustworthy. I really enjoy them coming into care for me.

Over the last year, we have found Nexus Care Services to be a professional, flexible and friendly company. They were always ready to respond to requests, changes and communication were very good. The staff who visited my mother three times a day to provide personal care, meals and assistance with medication, as well as regular, friendly company were excellent. They quickly built a rapport treating my mother with dignity and understanding at all times. I would have no hesitation in recommending their services.

Nexus Care Services are a satisfactory caring company. They do try to keep a good standard. Sometimes the times on the rota are not kept correctly, but I know this can be difficult. The majority do their best for me. Out of 100% marks, I would give them 80%.

We are very pleased with the support given by carers to my mom and from September 2019 to January 2020 my dad. Carers show commitment, dignity, compassion and friendliness are very apparent to care provision. Rapport has developed between Mom and cares over the past twelve months. Support invaluable to me as I don't live local and peace of mind as I know she is being looked after well. Highly recommendable.

No consistent times. Too many different carers.

Nexus Care Services sends staff (carers) who understand my needs. These carers are always on time. When I say a carer is good they let that person come a lot. Obviously, some carers are better than others but the overall standard is high. The office staff at Nexus Care Services HQ seem to look after the carers' needs too.

Very good service, always on time, and very friendly and helpful staff. Could not ask for anything more thanks to all.

Why is the administrative section so unwilling to enter into discussion or correspondence with those of us who also care?

I have recently needed to appoint a carer to my 94-year-old, profoundly deaf mother-in-law. This was to ensure she is able to remain in her own home and surroundings. Having previously worked for and with the owner many years ago, my family and I chose Nexus Homecare. We had the pleasure of meeting the manager within four days of my initial contact. He met us and my mother-in-law at her home to establish our requirements and her needs. He was incredibly attentive, caring, helpful and informative. The service has been exceptional and the appointed carers have listened and are slowly building a mutual trust together with my mother-in-law to ensure her well-being and comfort in the ‘Winter’ of her life. We are thankful and grateful for the heartfelt service and care provided by a team of people in order to permit a certain peace of mind to a family who live far away from their loved one. Long may it continue during these harrowing times.
