I wanted to write this review as a thank you to all the staff and caregivers at Home Instead (Newport, Cwmbran and Chepstow). All of the staff work as a team and work extremely hard. All my dealings with the staff, at the initial assessment meeting and subsequently over the phone and via email have been friendly, professional, efficient and very helpful. Communication is excellent! The respect for my dad’s privacy, dignity and individuality is at the forefront of their care. They have worked so closely with my dad and myself enabling them to provide a personalised care plan. Nothing is too much trouble. I am also impressed with the phone app, which is great for updates and very reassuring. I would not hesitate to highly recommend Home Instead (Newport, Cwmbran and Chepstow). Thank you all for your care, support and compassion!

The company is fantastic. I can't recommend them highly enough! They are very experienced and friendly and they have put my mind at ease completely. I had burnt myself out by looking after my dad for the past 3 years on my own with help from my Daughter and Son. Now, most of the time I go to see my dad I'm his daughter, not his carer which is lovely. He's taken to them really well. His Alzheimers is very progressed now and it's difficult spending too much time there. Brilliant service and amazing staff.

My mother was diagnosed with Dementia at the start of January 2020, the pandemic hit and mum was confined to her flat with no routine she started to decline. After looking around the local providers we choose Home Instead and haven't looked back, the office staff made setting up the care plan as easy as possible. Mum looks forward to the care worker's visits each day and when things went downhill even further in August, I cannot fault the help and support we received from all the staff. Thank you.

We employ the service of the agency to care for my terminally ill wife for an hour every morning. After a major operation in May of 2020, she has an ileostomy which requires a bag change every day. The carers cope well with this procedure and new staff quickly pick up the task. She also requires washing or showering and changing clothes. All tasks are completed with compassion and care. They also employ a cheerful attitude which helps my wife to cope with a very difficult situation.

Home Instead provided an excellent standard of care and support to my mother. All the carers were reliable and my mother go on well with them and enjoyed their visits. Communication between the carer, the office and I worked very well. The minimum visit duration of one hour during the day makes them expensive if multiple visits are needed during the day.

My father has dementia and has been assisted by Home Instead carers for the past 18 months. I found the carers to be professional, kind, and considerate to their client's needs. They were always willing to help out in any way they could. I would highly recommend Home Instead as a home care company.

Home Instead have been providing care for my father for 4-years. The service is excellent, and the carers are wonderful. They carry out their duties with warmth, efficiency and care. We feel very lucky to have found an organisation which prides itself on the quality of its care provision and takes quality assurance so seriously. I can’t recommend them enough.

We, my wife and myself have had numerous care companies over the last 7-year, but the last two years has been Home Instead. From day one, we found them to be very professional in all aspects of work from management down to the carers; things are done right every time, and no complaints have even been cut. My wife has had three strokes and needs extensive washing, dressing, etc at her own speed. All the girls adjust to her specific requirements and talk and chat to her, making her feel special. This has brought her on leaps and bounds, and my wife has become a better person to me. I would be proud to call any one of these girls my daughter of a friend; "let it continue" 10/10 and our thanks to everyone.

I have found the care for my mother brilliant. The company for her and friendliness is faultless. Anything that was asked in the first days has been adhered to, and I feel my mother has been happier with the visits.

My mum is 91, frail but has positive mental health. I moved in to care for her but I also work full time. This meant that although I would give mum breakfast and set her up with a packed lunch she would be alone all day. She needed care in the daytime to assist her well being, make her a hot meal and assist her without anything she struggled with. I had tried two other care agencies and who were a lot cheaper but they were awful. I was paying for an hour - they only stayed ten minutes and some of the staff were awful. Home Instead carers are basically top class and you are paying for a high class service. What they say they will deliver they do. They are extremely organised, efficient and the carers are exemplary. The carers had fantastic skills and made mum feel at ease and stopped me worrying about her as I knew they were meeting her needs. They always stayed with mum for the full hour and were committed to providing wonderful care.

We began the service with Home Instead in March 2020. Over the two months to date, we have all been extremely satisfied with the service provided. My brother and sister-in-law look forward to their daily visit. They tell me that all the ladies who visit them are charming, very kind and a pleasure to spend time with. The service is very professional, very reliable and effective. It is a source of comfort to the rest of the family knowing that they are so happy with the provision. I am impressed that we get regular phone calls from the managers, checking on how well the service is being provided. Everyone is so friendly and approachable. Everything is great and we would like to thank the ladies for everything that they do. We are very grateful to you all.

Home Instead became my father's care provider from June 2019 until his death in February 2020. They became my father's Care Providers after my father's previous care providers handed back the contract whilst Dad was in hospital, leaving Dad with the prospect of having to remain in hospital for another 3 weeks after he was deemed ready for discharge, as he had to be "put out to tender" by his Social Worker. I rang Home Instead, and they were able to provide 4 CareGivers a day for 1 hour at each visit beginning the next day.

Home Instead did not let my family down and cared for my father in a compassionate, efficient way allowing my father to retain his dignity in sometimes difficult situations. The CareGivers are an exceptional group of people and are the chief asset of the company. At the end of Dad's life his needs required 2 CareGivers for each visit and very experienced staff were scheduled for these visits. They were all known to Dad and were absolutely wonderful caring for us.

After much research for a home care provider for my elderly Aunt, in need of some extra help at home, I chose Home Instead Senior Care (Newport, Cwmbran & Chepstow).
My Aunt is a very independent person but agreed she did need help. The arrangements have now been in place since March 2020 and she is delighted with the care she receives and is enjoying the company too. I couldn't be more pleased!

A huge thank you to all the Staff and Carers at Home Instead, who are working under very difficult conditions during the Covid19 pandemic keeping our loved ones safe. Heroes all!

I cannot speak highly enough of Home Instead Senior Care and the excellent quality of care provided for my aunt.
As a new client, her original care plan required an immediate review due to her changing needs and the response from the Home Instead team was brilliant.

The family would never have managed on their own and to all the staff (caregivers, office team and manager), I say a huge thank you for all your care, support, compassion and understanding during a very difficult time.

The care team cared for my cousin, in her home, for the last two weeks of her life 24/7.
The care and kindness they showed her was exceptional, they were also very kind and considerate to us her family.
Since her death, we continue to employ them to care for her husband.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

The standard of personal care from Home Instead has been outstanding and a real help to my mother and my family over the past 6 months. They have provided her with invaluable assistance enabling her to stay living in her house for as long as possible. The individual carers have all been excellent assisting with everyday living activities at home, when required with personal care such as showering and getting dressed but also and more importantly providing companionship and really engaging with my mother. Home Instead were able to react quickly and put the required care in place at very short notice. They also provided a level of consistency with the carers that we, as a family, really appreciated.

I opened Home Instead Newport, Cwmbran and Chepstow in October 2017 with my daughter Laura. I was thrilled to find Home Instead and to have the opportunity in the community that I have grown up in to be able to make a difference in the lives of the elderly. Having experienced caring for a close family member I know exactly how important good heartfelt care is.

I was attracted to Home Instead for its high-quality care and its ethos where the focus is on building a caring, trusting relationship between our client and our Care Professionals, which supports older people remaining living independently at home. We provide our clients with the very best support and will always work hard to make sure things are right for them. In my spare time, I like to spend time with my family, walk my dogs and read. I am also a trustee of the Noah's Ark Children's Hospital for Wales and I fundraise regularly for the children's hospital to help with providing play specialists, new equipment, refurbishments and much more.
