Home Instead offers a wide range of one-to-one services tailor-made to the needs of the individual, this could be companionship care, overnight care or dementia care. Home visits can be from an hour a day up to 24/7 live-in care including weekends and holidays.

Services are flexible to the needs of each client. These can include personal care such as assistance with bathing, dressing, eating and medication; home help covering all aspects of day-to-day housework, shopping, meal preparation and household duties; and companionship services that can involve everything from escorting clients on visits, trips to the shop or appointments to simple conversation and good company. Their Care Professionals are trained to a very high standard to cover a wide variety of needs.

Through regular meetings with all parties concerned, Home Instead Newport, Cwmbran & Chepstow provide ongoing care programmes that adapt to changing needs, giving assurance that the highest standards of care are being provided at all times.

I have found the care for my mother brilliant. The company for her and friendliness is faultless. Anything that was asked in the first days has been adhered to, and I feel my mother has been happier with the visits.

My mum is 91, frail but has positive mental health. I moved in to care for her but I also work full time. This meant that although I would give mum breakfast and set her up with a packed lunch she would be alone all day. She needed care in the daytime to assist her well being, make her a hot meal and
assist her without anything she struggled with. I had tried two other care agencies and who were a lot cheaper but they were awful. I was paying for an hour - they only stayed ten minutes and some of the staff were awful. Home Instead carers are basically top class and you are paying for a high class service. What they say they will deliver they do. They are extremely organised, efficient and the carers are exemplary. The carers had fantastic skills and made mum feel at ease and stopped me worrying about her as I knew they were meeting her needs. They always stayed with mum for the full hour and were committed to providing wonderful care.

We began the service with Home Instead in March 2020. Over the two months to date, we have all been extremely satisfied with the service provided. My brother and sister-in-law look forward to their daily visit. They tell me that all the ladies who visit them are charming, very kind and a pleasure
to spend time with. The service is very professional, very reliable and effective. It is a source of comfort to the rest of the family knowing that they are so happy with the provision. I am impressed that we get regular phone calls from the managers, checking on how well the service is being provided. Everyone is so friendly and approachable. Everything is great and we would like to thank the ladies for everything that they do. We are very grateful to you all.

Home Instead became my father's care provider from June 2019 until his death in February 2020. They became my father's Care Providers after my father's previous care providers handed back the contract whilst Dad was in hospital, leaving Dad with the prospect of having to remain in hospital for another
3 weeks after he was deemed ready for discharge, as he had to be "put out to tender" by his Social Worker. I rang Home Instead, and they were able to provide 4 CareGivers a day for 1 hour at each visit beginning the next day.
Home Instead did not let my family down and cared for my father in a compassionate, efficient way allowing my father to retain his dignity in sometimes difficult situations. The CareGivers are an exceptional group of people and are the chief asset of the company. At the end of Dad's life his needs required 2 CareGivers for each visit and very experienced staff were scheduled for these visits. They were all known to Dad and were absolutely wonderful caring for us.

After much research for a home care provider for my elderly Aunt, in need of some extra help at home, I chose Home Instead Senior Care (Newport, Cwmbran & Chepstow).
My Aunt is a very independent person but agreed she did need help. The arrangements have now been in place since March 2020 and she is
delighted with the care she receives and is enjoying the company too. I couldn't be more pleased!
A huge thank you to all the Staff and Carers at Home Instead, who are working under very difficult conditions during the Covid19 pandemic keeping our loved ones safe. Heroes all!

I cannot speak highly enough of Home Instead Senior Care and the excellent quality of care provided for my aunt.
As a new client, her original care plan required an immediate review due to her changing needs and the response from the Home Instead team was brilliant.
The family would never have managed
on their own and to all the staff (caregivers, office team and manager), I say a huge thank you for all your care, support, compassion and understanding during a very difficult time.

The care team cared for my cousin, in her home, for the last two weeks of her life 24/7.
The care and kindness they showed her was exceptional, they were also very kind and considerate to us her family.

The standard of personal care from Home Instead has been outstanding and a real help to my mother and my family over the past 6 months. They have provided her with invaluable assistance enabling her to stay living in her house for as long as possible. The individual carers have all been excellent assisting
with everyday living activities at home, when required with personal care such as showering and getting dressed but also and more importantly providing companionship and really engaging with my mother. Home Instead were able to react quickly and put the required care in place at very short notice. They also provided a level of consistency with the carers that we, as a family, really appreciated.

My experience with your company has been so good. I really can't thank them enough for the service my team have given me. I couldn't have managed without them. This year I have had a nasty fall which left me unable to cope myself. My needs have been met completely (broken shoulder and broken wrist).

Home Instead Senior Care Newport is great - the system of an existing carer introducing a new carer was much appreciated by my father. The genuine concern to get things right for Dad, the individual approach and flexibility are strong, especially when we have needed to make changes and put additional

I would thoroughly recommend Home Instead to anyone looking for professional, quality care for a relative or friend.
The management and staff are reliable and very well organised.
The client has a small team of carers to whom they have been introduced so know who will be turning up to see them. This
is an important factor for older people. The carers are punctual, patient and kind, always bearing the needs of the client in mind. The feedback from the management to myself has also been excellent and I would definitely use home Instead again if the need arose.

Fantastic service provided by the whole team at Rogerstone Home Instead Senior Care.


Office staff are very professional, compassionate and kept me up to date with any concerns raised by my grandmother's carers, they ensured that she had a regular carer, which helped to keep a routine so needed with

her dementia diagnosis.


The carers were well trained, helpful, extremely trustworthy and always cheerful and willing to help, which always brightened up my grandmother's day and she would enjoy the time spent with them.


Excellent service provided by all the staff and I would highly recommend them.

I can’t praise the staff of this branch enough. Each and every one of them has gone above and beyond what I would expect when looking after my dad. Noticing changes in his mental health keeping us informed and involving medical care and calling family when needed. It gave my family such peace of mind
that he was so well looked after. Dad loved having them come to the house and enjoyed their company. We are all happy he was able to keep his independence a little while longer.

Karen Clatworthy

I opened Home Instead Newport, Cwmbran and Chepstow in October 2017 with my daughter Laura. I was thrilled to find Home Instead and to have the opportunity in the community that I have grown up in to be able to make a difference in the lives of the elderly. Having experienced caring for a close family member I know exactly how important good heartfelt care is.


I was attracted to Home Instead for its high-quality care and its ethos where the focus is on building a caring, trusting relationship between our client and our Care Professionals, which supports older people remaining living independently at home. We provide our clients with the very best support and will always work hard to make sure things are right for them. In my spare time, I like to spend time with my family, walk my dogs and read. I am also a trustee of the Noah's Ark Children's Hospital for Wales and I fundraise regularly for the children's hospital to help with providing play specialists, new equipment, refurbishments and much more.

Pauline started her career with the NHS where she qualified as an Orthopedic Nurse and went on to qualify as an Occupational Therapist. Pauline used this qualification whilst working in the older adult’s community Mental Health Team.


From this Pauline moved into an HR role as a business partner in an engineering company. The Covid Pandemic gave Pauline time to reflect and decided to move back into the sector that she was passionate about.


Pauline utilises all her knowledge and experience to ensure our new clients get all their needs met. Pauline delivers the initial enquiry, consultation and assessment to ensure continuity for the client. Pauline did not realise how much she missed working in a caring profession and strongly believes that Home Instead offers a unique service, that is led by the clients and their needs.
