Mulberry home care services have changed our lives for the better. It has meant that my husband can go out knowing that I'm in safe, trustworthy hands. I am respected and treated with dignity at all times. The carers that I have coming to see me aren't like carers really, it's like having a friend come
to see you. They know me better than I know myself sometimes. They are so kind and patient with me. They don't just look after me but they are always looking out for my husband and my children too. What more could I ask for? I can't recommend them highly enough. Five stars from me.

Mulberry Home Care is friendly and will accommodate requests. I have one carer who is very polite and professional. They are on time or they ring me if there is a problem. So far I have been with them since February 2019 and they are good and diligent.

Mulberry have been very helpful in supporting me and also my wife. Carers are friendly and flexible and if there is a rare hiccup in arrival or care, they let me know and swiftly sort it out. I know I am in safe hands and I am very happy to have their help.

My mother only received care from Mulberry Home Care for quite a short period of time, (a couple of months) but I cannot fault the carers or the service they provided. Mum looked forward to their visits and they did everything they could to assist and also to provide the type of service my brother and
I requested for her. Unfortunately, we had to find a full-time care home for Mum earlier than we had anticipated, due to a sudden deterioration in her mobility. I would recommend your company without hesitation.

Mulberry were contracted to provide care for my mother at very short notice. The client was experiencing sharp deterioration in her health and physical capacity, and the amount of care required increased rapidly over a few weeks.
Mulberry handled the changes in requirements swiftly and efficiently
while continuing to maintain a really good rapport with the client and with me as principal contact. I had no hesitation to ask for them to be kept on when the care package transferred from a private arrangement to one paid by the local NHS under a continuing care service.
They have liaised well with a live-in carer who was also contracted at very short notice.

We were lucky enough to come across this agency on recommendation and it has far exceeded our expectation. The carers are dealing with my elderly mother with advanced Alzheimer's Disease, they are caring, thoughtful and constantly trying to find ways to make her life happier, changing their strategy
as her condition changes.
I genuinely can't imagine how we would have coped without them.

Sophia Hankin

Sophia has been working for Mulberry Home Care Services for over 6 years. Sophia started her career in care as a valued member of our Home Care team and worked her way up the career ladder to the Care manager role. Sophia has undertaken her QCF in Health and Social Care level 3 and is working towards her level 5. Sophia has the Train the Trainer award in Medication and Moving and Handling.


Sophia has a great passion for people and so much compassion and empathy for the Service Users we look after.

Mercedes

Mercedes McKay

Job Title: Director Joined: 2017

Mercedes has over 33 years of experience in Care, 24 of which are based in the Domiciliary care sector. Mercedes started her career as a Carer working in a nursing Home for the elderly.


Mercedes has worked with a wide range of Service User groups from adults with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, mental health difficulties, the elderly, Dementia, end-of-life care and many other health conditions that may impact a person’s ability to manage their own Home and personal care needs. Mercedes's goals have always been to deliver a high standard of care to the Service Users and their families.

Mercedes has designed and implemented staff training to ensure staff are trained for the role they are undertaking.


Mercedes has worked with two new start-up companies and introduced policies and procedures, and training and laid down the foundations for them to continue growing and be a successful business. Both companies have grown under her leadership.

All Home Carers are DBS checked and have undergone Mulberry Home Cares' extensive induction training when they first joined the company.


All carers have business class A car insurance and are able to support our Service Users to attend social events, hospital appointments, go shopping and be part of the local community.
