Home Instead have been providing my Mum's care for some years now which gives them a good understanding of her needs and personality. This is reflected in the personal care they give and the willingness to maintain a good and sympathetic relationship with her. The feedback is good which means we can keep on top of things and be aware of any arising issues. I am very happy with the service they provide.
I am glad to hear that your Mum's Care Professionals are having a real positive impact on her quality of life.
We commit to maintaining the bespoke, individualised care that you receive.
If there is any additional way we can improve our care service to you, please don't hesitate to let us know.
Home Instead have been providing 3 visits a day to Dad since November 2022.
The carers are all brilliant and are great with Dad. They ensure he is up/washed/dressed, prepare his meals, facilitate his taking medication, do his washing, give him conversion and companionship - they even walk the dog!
All their actions and observations are recorded on an app that the family can monitor, but if anything is amiss or they have any concerns they will let us know directly. The office team are also a pleasure to deal with and always respond to any queries or changes promptly and professionally.
From being very anxious about handing over day-to-day responsibility to ‘strangers’ as opposed to immediate family - we now feel that dads carers are an integral and essential part of his support team and almost an extension of the family.
Dad really appreciates them and we couldn’t do without them.
Thank you Home Instead!
With no family living near Dad (who has dementia and is very hard of hearing) and him wishing to stay in his home as long as possible, Home Instead has been a wonderful find. His carers are friendly, kind and helpful and ensure he is safe and well looked after. They also act as our eyes and ears keeping us updated which helps immensely. There have been a couple of issues along the way but management have been very willing to listen and have dealt with them swiftly and professionally. Without the support of Home Instead Dad could not live his life the way we know he wishes to.
Thank you for taking time to leave a review. Home Instead and the team take real pride in our care and support to our clients and there families.
My brother has been well supported for planning his meals and shopping for a period of over 2 years. There have also been companionship visits during the pandemic to support him when the family could not visit. My brother values all these contacts very highly. These have helped him to continue to live independently in his own home.
I have been very pleased with the care my parents are receiving. The carers are lovely, friendly and reliable. They provide personal care, home help, meals and medication prompting as well as company and reassurance. They have also been great at helping Mum to pursue her hobbies and take my parents on small trips out which is fantastic. I would recommend Home Instead, they have been an ideal solution to my parents need for support in their own home and have been responsive to all our needs and requests.
Our carer is helping me mostly, to give me a break from caring for my husband since Covid in 2020. So to have a break from bed changing, hoovering, ironing etc is wonderful. Our carer is friendly, cheerful and equally at home chatting to my husband who looks forward to her visits as much as I do!
Home instead is a brilliant company, knowledgeable and caring. They took care to match him with the carer and I have great confidence in them.
We have used Home instead now for a few months. From the start the service was both friendly and professional. Time was taken not just to understand our needs, but also to understand the person they are supporting. Their likes and dislikes, character and nature. The visits are always on time, the carers have a relationship with the client and genuinely care about them. Time is taken not just on the task but on the person themselves. I can honestly say the carers do care about the person they are looking after and consequently their visit is looked forward to. It's is without doubt excellent and something that has helped us considerably. The contact and follow up from the office is also very good, and we feel we are listened to and supported.
Our family are very grateful to the careers who take care of our Mum. Nothing is too much trouble and that treat her with real dignity. As a provider, the whole team go above and beyond what we expected.
I am very pleased with the cooking ability of the carers, but they are rather reluctant to iron.
On the whole and excellent service.
Dear Betty, Thank you for your feedback. We will be investigating the reluctance to iron, to find out what the reasons are. I am confident we can resolve the problem.
I have always found that the carers who have visited me have always been very helpful and cheerful and very friendly towards me.
The agency has always accommodated mum's ever-increasing care needs and are always there to listen and talk to.
I would recommend Home Instead to anyone who asked.
We are very grateful for all the help and support.
I am very pleased with the care that my Nan has received since we have been using Home Instead, all of the caregivers go above and beyond to do everything that Nan needs to keep her comfortable in her own home, nothing is too much trouble. They are all really friendly and are incredibly understanding with her dementia, I’m so happy with the service they provide and very grateful for everything they do.
When I have any questions or want to request a change to the arrangements the team in the office always respond quickly and are very helpful.
We would be lost without their help.
There was some trepidation in making the decision to get Mum help at home as she is quite particular about things.
My brother, sister, myself and my wife don’t think we could have found better. Not even doing it ourselves would have matched the care and consideration provided by Home Instead.
Outstanding staff, both caregivers and office. Service provided is impeccable! Can’t fault anything; attention to detail, support for family, personal kindness and always going over and above. We more than recommend to anyone seeking a professional, dedicated, client-centred domicile service.
The experience was difficult to turn up because there was significant change in the care required due to being left alone whilst expecting the arrival of transport overnight. The general care was good because I required more attention than most - this means that many items were not done as normal and required more time and to be carefully done e.g. application of hearing equipment. Preparation of medication is excellent.
My carer was very good, always helpful. Such a great help every morning.
