Right At Home have supported me almost continuously for 6 years now. The carers fulfil their job title of being very caring, they are punctual, willing and nothing is too much trouble. I moved to another care company for a short time earlier this year and quickly realised that not all care companies
provide as brilliant care as Right At Home. The other care company was considerably more expensive and the carers weren't punctual or nearly as thorough as the RAH carers so 5 weeks after moving I returned to RAH. I definitely won't move again and I highly recommend RAH for anyone considering care for themselves or a loved one.

I have found that the carers for my mum have carried out their duties to the best of their abilities and some of them going above and beyond their care duties. Plus they have guided me with what we should try and put in place, To try and make Mum more comfortable.
Personally I have a good repour with
all who is in contact with my mum.

The team went over and beyond whilst I was away and my wife suffered from severe anxiety attack. They sent a lovely carer who spent quality time caring for her - taking a genuine interest - and ensuring she was taken care of physically and emotionally.

Right at Home staff have looked after my daughter, who is disabled following a brain haemorrhage, for several years. I have been consistently impressed with the care they provide. In addition to the practical care they provide much emotional support.

We are very happy with the care our daughter has received over many years from all the staff of Right at Home (Borehamwood). The carers provide excellent all-round care and have worked with her to increase her level of independence which is very important to her. For example, they help her each week
to safely prepare and cook a meal that she has planned. There are many instances when they have gone beyond the call of duty. The management team has always been helpful and supportive. We made the right choice in selecting Right at Home!

The fabulous Right at Home team has been providing excellent care to my fiercely independent but increasingly frail mother since October 2023. It was a big decision for her to accept she needed help, which the carers acknowledge and they go out of their way to ensure she retains as much autonomy and
independence as she can. I know she really values their kind, practical approach to supporting her and that they have a set time to visit her. My mum’s brain is still sharp and she enjoys having a chat and catching up with the carers- the benefits of this daily social interaction are evident to our family. I have found the carers really helpful e.g. they got Mum ready a bit early to ensure we got to a hospital appointment on time.
I spoke to a number of potential providers and I am very pleased with my decision to use Right at Home.

Right at Home has been the care agency that has provided carers for my husband who has stage 6/7 Alzheimer’s. The carers provided have been kind and understanding of my husband's needs and have turned up on time on the allotted days. The agency staff have been most understanding if I have had to request
any of the times to be changed.

I'd like to strongly recommend Right at Home (Borehamwood and Watford) as a caring, helpful and extremely competent company. The staff hold to excellent standards and I have had healthcare professionals comment on how impressed they are after seeing them in action.
They have kept my father independent,
helped him learn new skills, and to keep up old skills and activities. Dad is much happier and much of this is due to the focus on companionship care that really preserves Dad's dignity and makes it easy for him to both respond well to prompts and to ask for assistance when needed.

I've been using Right At Home since last August when it suddenly became urgent for my mum to receive home care. They were very helpful and caring from the get-go and continue to be so. Mum's needs keep changing as her dementia declines and the carers are always ready to adapt and assist in keeping her
needs top priority. Many times they have gone above and beyond, it really gives me peace of mind. Mum enjoys their visits and the carers really do want to give her the best care they can.

Nothing has changed my opinion of them. They are still far and away the most conscientious and helpful team I have had the pleasure of receiving care from. Always friendly and willing to go beyond just caring and I consider the carers as friends that I know that I can rely on.
I had to add to the care
received from them and that now seems like they have always done this for me.
Always excellent flexible care they make my life so much easier.

Right at Home have been providing care for my mother for about a year. They serve her meals at home and check all is well in her house. The online service is very helpful as we can check if my mother has received care from our home. The office staff are always helpful and there if we need them.
My
mother gets on well with the carers.

Having agonised over finding the right care package for my widowed elderly mother, where the impossible balance between friendliness, professionalism, genuine care and respecting privacy seemed an impossible goal, it is with great relief that I finally found the Right at Home team.
Everything I had
been looking for, and they ended up almost on my doorstep!
I'm not usually one that leaves an online review, however, if/when we are ever in need of care services again, there is only one place we would consider - Right at Home team.
It's never an easy decision, but they make the transition seamless.
Excellent service, from a wonderful team!

I would highly recommend Right at Home they have recently started caring for my father after he had been falling over and lost his confidence and they have been working with him to build his confidence back up. As a family, we are eternally grateful to have an excellent and reliable team supporting
him.

Right at Home staff were extremely helpful right from the start. We contacted them at very short notice to arrange care during the recent bank holiday weekend. I suffer from ischaemic heart and was recently diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease. The assessment was conducted in a very relaxed and friendly
atmosphere and the Right at Home carer immediately put me at my ease and gave me some much-needed reassurance that we had chosen the right company. During the bank holiday weekend, the care provided was first class - he arrived on time; was very understanding and treated me with the utmost respect and friendliness. The carer not only did everything that was asked of him - helping me with my personal care and preparation of all my meals but also provided some companionship during his visits. I would have absolutely no hesitation in having carers from this company help me in the future, should the need arise. I highly recommend this company. You will not be disappointed with the quality of their care.

We needed personal care for my father, who had dementia, from January 2023. Sadly, his dementia progressed so quickly that by the end of March, we had to decide to move him into the dementia wing of a care home.
But for those 2-3 months the Right at Home (Borehamwood) care team provided incredibly
kind, patient care. Even on the days when Dad's dementia was especially bad, they treated him like a human being and with cheerfulness. It took a lot of pressure off us as a family to know that he was being looked after. While it would be invidious to single out any one of the team (who were all great), the male carer who attended regularly, will remain in our memories. He was a beacon of light and the way he helped and cared for Dad was inspiring. Our many thanks go to him and all of the Right at Home (Borehamwood) team.

Having spent the past 11 years working as the Registered Manager for a market-leading Home Care provider in Central London, I felt it was time to move closer to home and give something back to my own local community here in Borehamwood.

I registered as a Nurse in 1995 having trained at the Royal Free Hospital and stayed registered with the NMC till October 2017. I specialised in Haematology Oncology, Bone Marrow Transplants and was a trained Chemotherapy Nurse.

I later took this experience to work in a business setting supplying specialist Nurses to both the NHS and the private sector. I progressed as the Registered Manager of the Homecare team where I worked for 6 years. I was so proud of the team I built and the service we provided. I loved nothing more than visiting clients in their own homes, seeing how comfortable they were and knowing that we had a part to play in supporting them.

My father started his own business at my age and it became the source of many family conversations giving me an unofficial degree in business studies. Matched with my Nursing qualifications, I became extremely successful in a business environment.

I thrive in the home care setting as it gives me the opportunity to use both my clinical skills and my love of business and over the past few years, this has become my passion. I’ve been living in Borehamwood for over 10 years and prior to that lived in Radlett for 8 years. I grew up abroad in the Middle East and Canada and I’ve travelled around South East Asia and Australia, Nursing, as well as working on a yacht as a deckhand, attempting a job as a snorkelling safari lead, and completing my advanced scuba diving course!

These days, in my spare time, I am busy with my 13-year-old daughter and husband and our gorgeous puppy Dillon.
