Right at Home staff were extremely helpful right from the start. We contacted them at very short notice to arrange care during the recent bank holiday weekend. I suffer from ischaemic heart and was recently diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease. The assessment was conducted in a very relaxed and friendly
atmosphere and the Right at Home carer immediately put me at my ease and gave me some much-needed reassurance that we had chosen the right company. During the bank holiday weekend, the care provided was first class - he arrived on time; was very understanding and treated me with the utmost respect and friendliness. The carer not only did everything that was asked of him - helping me with my personal care and preparation of all my meals but also provided some companionship during his visits. I would have absolutely no hesitation in having carers from this company help me in the future, should the need arise. I highly recommend this company. You will not be disappointed with the quality of their care.

We needed personal care for my father, who had dementia, from January 2023. Sadly, his dementia progressed so quickly that by the end of March, we had to decide to move him into the dementia wing of a care home.
But for those 2-3 months the Right at Home (Borehamwood) care team provided incredibly
kind, patient care. Even on the days when Dad's dementia was especially bad, they treated him like a human being and with cheerfulness. It took a lot of pressure off us as a family to know that he was being looked after. While it would be invidious to single out any one of the team (who were all great), the male carer who attended regularly, will remain in our memories. He was a beacon of light and the way he helped and cared for Dad was inspiring. Our many thanks go to him and all of the Right at Home (Borehamwood) team.

I suffered a leg injury and my wife had mobility restrictions and we needed immediate short-term help. We were assessed and emergency care commenced at the first opportunity and we had cover within a day. We were delighted with the care, the people and the care given. They gave us crisis support in
a kind and caring way with very nice people.

When we decided to enlist help from carers we were quite anxious, we need not have worried. Having been recommended right at home we felt comfortable from the very 1st meeting. They took time to find out about our mum and match her with carers that they thought would suit her best. We have been so happy
with our carers but most importantly our mum has been too. She has developed a lovely bond as have we. It really has made a huge difference to all of our lives and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. They are truly amazing.

Right At Home Borehamwood are the service you need when looking for carers. Having been through a very difficult time lately, they have been amazing. They are efficient and know their stuff. They listen to what you need and match their service to your needs. All the carers are lovely and always go the
extra mile when needed. I have been using their service for over 7 years and have never had one problem. I would be lost without them.

Had a few care companies, but none like this one. All down to earth and friendly people. Care company we had before I would be constantly worrying but these guys put my mind at ease everyday. I know my mum is always going to be cared for if I’m away or at work. Would highly recommend!

The care my mother receives from the staff of Right at Home (Borehamwood) is excellent. The carers are first class. They genuinely care for her needs and do all they can to keep her happy and safe. She looks forward to their visits and feels very comfortable, especially when having help bathing. They
make sure all her medication is administered correctly and that she has lunch and a hot meal prepared in the evening. I am always informed if any extra groceries or toiletries are needed. I know that on many occasions they go above and beyond what is expected of them. Mum enjoys chatting and talking about her younger days and loves to hear news from them also. Any concerns are brought to my attention straight away. When contacting the management team, I am always made to feel comfortable and given plenty of support and advice. It is my wish to keep Mum in her own home, safely, for as long as possible and I know this is her greatest wish. This is only made possible by Right at Home.

Right At Home Borehamwood are an excellent care agency. I was very wary handing the care of my dad over to strangers but I needn’t have worried. The carers are brilliant, lovely, friendly people who always give 100% to make sure my dad is okay. He is treated with dignity and respect. They took him a
birthday cake, flowers and ice cream on his birthday which made him smile, so lovely. The managers and office staff are great too always polite and happy to listen and help. It’s lovely seeing my dad happy and treated so well.
If your looking for help I would definitely recommend Right At Home Borehamwood.

Consistently excellent care, thoughtful and proactive. My father's carers are all outstanding at washing and dressing my father. They take great interest in him, talk with him and joke with him. They are always punctual. They give my father, mother, sister and me excellent advice on how best to look
after my father's care and social needs. They often go beyond what is expected or required of them, for example massaging his feet or bringing him well-judged books to read. My father loves their company.

Right At Home Borehamwood has been fantastic since starting with my mother in February of this year. Both the management team and the carers are enthusiastic, professional, reliable, knowledgeable, kind and friendly. It’s great to receive a weekly rota to show who’ll be with my mum on any given day
and the carers write a report, per visit, which is securely accessible online, to detail how my mum was during their visit and everything they have done, even down to what filling they put in my mum’s sandwich. Nothing is too much trouble, like picking her up fish and chips or taking her for a coffee on the way back from a medical appointment. I am extremely happy knowing my mum is being respectfully and well cared for. I would not hesitate to recommend Right at Home Borehamwood.

I would highly recommend Right at Home to anyone that is in need of carers. The care I received was top class and nothing was too much trouble for them. The carers were caring warm people and it felt like having a friend in your home rather than someone who was just there to do a job. My family looked
forward to them coming. The other brilliant thing about them was that I always had the same carers turning up, they were always punctual, and if something took a few minutes longer than the slotted time, they were too happy to finish the job.

Great experience with Right at Home (Borehamwood & Watford). The owner was super helpful and arranged a visit with the manager to explain to my father-in-law how the service works and conducted a full needs assessment very professionally, removing any doubts and reassuring all of us. The agency identified
two lovely carers who met requirements perfectly, the first visit was a ‘great success’ in dad’s own words and he continues to be extremely satisfied with the service he receives. He was initially concerned about losing his independence but soon realised that the carers are in fact there to support his independence and it gives the entire family peace of mind knowing that he is regularly checked upon and looked after, in the comfort of his own home. Could not be happier. Thank you to the wonderful Right at Home (Borehamwood & Watford) team!

After some poor experiences with other agencies, it's been an unexpected pleasure to deal with Right at Home.
From my first interaction with them in 2018, when we needed some emergency cover quickly due to snow preventing us from getting to Dad, to my most recent, they have always provided an excellent
service.
Being able to contact the MD, directly, is wonderful and it's very clear that she knows exactly who everybody is and what they're meant to be doing! We've often had to change plans at very short notice, and they've always been able to juggle things and help out.
The carers are lovely and seem to deal with everything Dad throws at them with a smile (which is more than we do, sometimes!), and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anybody.

Having spent the past 11 years working as the Registered Manager for a market-leading Home Care provider in Central London, I felt it was time to move closer to home and give something back to my own local community here in Borehamwood.

I registered as a Nurse in 1995 having trained at the Royal Free Hospital and stayed registered with the NMC till October 2017. I specialised in Haematology Oncology, Bone Marrow Transplants and was a trained Chemotherapy Nurse.

I later took this experience to work in a business setting supplying specialist Nurses to both the NHS and the private sector. I progressed as the Registered Manager of the Homecare team where I worked for 6 years. I was so proud of the team I built and the service we provided. I loved nothing more than visiting clients in their own homes, seeing how comfortable they were and knowing that we had a part to play in supporting them.

My father started his own business at my age and it became the source of many family conversations giving me an unofficial degree in business studies. Matched with my Nursing qualifications, I became extremely successful in a business environment.

I thrive in the home care setting as it gives me the opportunity to use both my clinical skills and my love of business and over the past few years, this has become my passion. I’ve been living in Borehamwood for over 10 years and prior to that lived in Radlett for 8 years. I grew up abroad in the Middle East and Canada and I’ve travelled around South East Asia and Australia, Nursing, as well as working on a yacht as a deckhand, attempting a job as a snorkelling safari lead, and completing my advanced scuba diving course!

These days, in my spare time, I am busy with my 13-year-old daughter and husband and our gorgeous puppy Dillon.
