Comfort Care At Home is an award-winning and local domiciliary care provider, working to support and provide high-quality care for people in their own homes.

Their goal is to help your loved ones to stay happily in their own homes for longer. They promote their independence whilst supporting them with the tasks they are no longer able to do alone.

They chase your healthcare professionals such as GPs and district nurses to get appointments and referrals, and they keep your loved ones safe by managing the ordering, disposing and inventory of their medication.

Comfort Care At Home uses the latest technology solutions to monitor their well-being, which can be viewed by you and them anywhere around the world. They receive alerts immediately on their system if your loved one refuses medication or won’t eat.

They have a 5 minute rule so if your care professional is running late by 5 minutes or more, they will let you know so you don’t have to worry. Comfort Care At Home also uses WhatsApp group chats to communicate with you about your loved ones.

My mother has 3 care visits a day. There are no issues with time keeping etc. My mother is no doubt challenging in wanting to hold on to as much control/independence as possible so the care team have to do a balancing act - respect mum but also ensure she gets the care she needs - they are very good
at this.

I've been using Comfort Care at Home my grandmother, and I cannot recommend them highly enough. The staff are consistently kind, professional, and reliable-qualities that are essential but not always easy to find in care services. From day one, they took the time to understand her individual needs and
preferences, and they've remained attentive and responsive as those needs have changed.


Every carer we've met has treated her with genuine warmth and respect, always ensuring she feels comfortable and heard. Communication with the office has also been excellent; they are quick to respond to questions or make adjustments when needed, which provides incredible peace of mind.


Most importantly, I feel completely safe entrusting my loved one to their care. Knowing she's in capable and compassionate hands means I can rest a little easier, and that trust is invaluable. Their professionalism is matched by a human touch that makes a real difference day to day.

My sister has received help from Comfort Care at Home for several years. She is so grateful for the carers' visits as they are not only helpful with the daily tasks she finds challenging, but they are kind and give her autonomy. As someone with Asbergers syndrome my sister can be trying to say the least,
but they are patient and always helpful. The carers are very well trained, they are punctual and polite and always let her know if they might be a bit late. The management team is also superb and they go out of their way to ensure that my sister's needs are met. She phones them constantly for minor problems in her life and they show endless patience with her frequent calls . I cannot recommend them highly enough

Mum's carers are highly trained and attentive to her needs, the consistency of quality delivered and our close connection to their senior management group makes us all feel secure.
Our ability to enhance mum's quality of life has been increased due to the suggestions and empathy that the carers provide.

The care provided has made such a difference to the whole family. My dad seems to be more alert than he has been for a long time. It's reassuring to know that a trained carer is looking out for him and will report back to us any changes in his health. I can also see a big difference in my mum's health
who was struggling with the responsibility. The communication between us and the carers is amazing. Would definitely recommend this company to anyone that needs care.

I am happy with my carers and I am very happy with the service I get. Since I have been having them my confidence has grown, I would worry about walking but they take me out every week. Always willing to help me with any housework and appointments I might have.

We have known Comfort Care for a number of years now. The service has been outstanding throughout. Both the management and the fully trained team of carers are empathetic and professional when working with our mother who has complex needs. Excellent service.
Comfort Care has been visiting our parents since September last year. The manager impressed with the thoroughness of her initial visits and through the care she took to listen and respond to client needs.
The carers are friendly and helpful and communication is excellent - both
with clients and with family members. Any changes to the schedule are always well-signalled in advance.
The management team are also friendly, responsive and knowledgeable - always happy to review care provisions or make time to jump on a call if anything needs extra discussion. We feel very confident in Comfort Care and are hoping to increase visits over time in step with our parents' needs.

Comfort care at home has only been caring for my elderly father for two weeks. I knew my father needed care but was very nervous that he would refuse care. But right from the first meeting the owner and care team showed such understanding and care towards my father and family. They have taken some of
the pressure off my family by caring in such a professional way and have helped to contact other professionals to help. They are a great comfort to my mother as she has a lovely daily chat with the care team. I would highly recommend Comfort care at home.

Our family were very lucky to be recommended to Comfort Care At Home, this was our first encounter with the care industry and thus fearful of how we could manage this service. This matter was taken out of our hands by the senior staff who explained the process in detail and helped us improve the home
environment from a safety and lifestyle perspective.
She has received excellent continuous service from the team and particular attention is given to the relationship and confidence for her and hence any changes to the team or service. The small details such as the Christmas gift and family WhatsApp group are very inclusive and reassuring that the best intentions are promised and delivered.
We highly recommend and thank Comfort Care!

Shamsah Lalji

Job Title: Director Joined: 2018

What inspired me to found Comfort Care At Home®? I grew up in a household living with my grandmother and an aunt who had certain physical disabilities. I witnessed the importance of home care professionals first-hand and the impact they had on my family’s quality of life and peace of mind. My personal experience helped me shape what high-quality care should be: from the caring and kind-hearted staff we recruit to the standards to which we work. I wanted to help older people live happily and safely in their own homes longer, and this is why I launched my company.


I have a Masters Degree in Business Administration in Marketing and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. I have worked for a number of years in the pharmaceutical industry, specialising in conditions and diseases many older people are living with, such as diabetes, nutrition disorders, cancers, and many more. I am a Dementia Friends Ambassador and committed to making a positive difference to people living with dementia.


I have always enjoyed being involved in the community, from volunteering to raising money for charities. I was appointed as a Trustee for Re-Engage, a charity that works within communities to end social isolation and loneliness in older people.

I completed a Master’s Degree in Graphic Design and was initially hired to devise and implement the digital marketing strategy. I have a huge passion for the art of writing; I have written content for charities along with a radio station. I believe that knowledge is power, and this is why I am writing two children’s books to encourage young minds to read and be critical thinkers.
