We have been using Home Instead Hinckley to care for my Mum for almost a year now.
I have nothing but praise for Home Instead. The care-pros, the office staff and management are all wonderful and have improved the quality of my Mum's life incredibly. My Mum really looks forwards to the visits, nothing
is too much trouble and I feel content that my Mum is receiving the highest level of care while being able to remain in her own home.

Choosing a care provider for my dad was a daunting experience. But choosing Home Instead was the best decision I have made. The support they give is excellent. They are professional but genuinely friendly and give the best support. Management is great and introduced the carers beforehand to start building
a trusting relationship. My dad has the same regular carers at a time that suits his needs and wishes. He is given as much independence as possible. On a final note, during a medical incident, the carer stayed until help arrived and she followed all procedures. Management also followed up with a call to ensure Dad was ok.

I am very happy with the care I receive. I am never rushed and they help me with whatever I ask, if they are able to. The carers are lovely and friendly. They also respect my dignity during care. I am happy that I have the same regular carers and not different ones each week.

My mum has Alzheimer's, but remains living at home with support from family and Home Instead care.
A lovely carer comes twice a week for an hour to keep Mum company and check medication has been taken etc. - she plays snakes and ladders and dominoes with Mum, which Mum loves.
So far Home Instead have
managed to roster the same carer for Mum, which has been invaluable in keeping Mum to a familiar routine.
Communication has been excellent.

The service provided to my father has been excellent, caring, and reliable. I appreciate the comfort the carer has brought to my dad during her work at his property. On the other hand, I feel a little let down by the office side of Home Instead. We received a standard invoice for February 2024 which
was for 4 visits when in fact only 3 were made. I emailed, and phoned (twice) and never received written confirmation that the invoice would be amended in line with reality - only a message after my second phone call. I think Home Instead should improve their communications on this subject.

I had to find a local company who could provide care support for my sister who has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and through the Internet found Home Instead. I have not looked back since starting last September and my sister has built an excellent rapport with her carers. I am micro-managing her life
from 400 miles away but get support when needed so no complaints from myself. Recently had a review with them to discuss the way forward and have come up with a plan involving more visits. As you can tell very happy with the service being provided and in the knowledge it can be extended as and when required.

The registered care manager and the team were amazing at facilitating our needs for my mum. After reading some of the horror stories when looking for care for my mum, Home Instead promised to visit at the times we wanted, with regular carers and provided exceptional care. Absolutely amazing! Due to my Mum's quick deterioration, we only got to know them for a week but they were fantastic - two members of staff especially. Both were caring, thoughtful and above all, at all times, professional. Not only did they care brilliantly for my mum but they also cared for me too
when I was having a ‘tearful’ day. They always went above and beyond and it meant so much to us all seeing them both at my mum's funeral. I would definitely recommend Home Instead.

Having spent the first 20 years of my working life around the world running pubs, restaurants and hotels following in my father's and grandfather’s footsteps, I thought it was time I worked for myself, spend more time with my young family and give something back to the community around me.


I’d watched my grandfather live to a dignified old age by being cared for by carers who in my opinion were the most caring, reliable and generous unsung heroes of our communities. However, I knew this wasn’t the right of passage for the majority of older people in our country.


This is a generation who have given so much so that we can live the privileged lives that we do so and therefore I am determined to work alongside my team here at Home Instead to “change the face of aging” encouraging older people to continue to lead a thorough and enriching life surrounded by care, companionship and support.

I have worked in the care sector since I left school with various care providers in the Hinckley & Nuneaton area. I have always loved making a difference to the lives of people I come into contact with, whether that be the people who are accessing the care or the fantastic care teams I’ve worked with.


I started my career as a Care Assistant & Activities co-ordinator, I then worked in Mental Health services and more recently as an Assistant Manager for a Day Centre & Care Home. Whilst working in care homes it became apparent that there were many people coming to live there who were not able to continue to live in the community.


I have experience caring for both the older generation and younger people with learning disabilities, I especially enjoy working with people living with dementia, and I am proud to be a Dementia Champion. When I saw Home Instead, it was wonderful to see that a company was really addressing the needs of the clients, enabling people to stay in their homes for as long as possible.


I knew it was the company for me and I am delighted to be a part of a company which shares my values. When I am not at work, I am spending time with my Husband and my 3 daughters who certainly keep us busy!! I have lived in Hinckley for 17 years and I love the close-knit feel of the community.
