After a difficult experience with previous carers, this has been very reassuring for us as a family. Their calm and supportive approach has made a real difference, and it's comforting to know she is in good hands. Thank you for your continued support.

One of the wonderful carers that come to support my father from the York branch noticed that dad was not himself that day and was still in bed. Thankfully, this was enough to make her think something was off amd as she tried to get him up and moving that all was not well. To cut a very long story short, she called an ambulance and dad was taken straight into hospital. I am so appreciative that she came that day and didn't just think dad was having an off day or a lie in and got him the help he needed. I dread to think what would have happened had she not come.

They are approachable and kind , thank you all of you in your support and care of mum.

Very pleased with the service. Since my elderly mum started to get visits, it has not only helped with the challenges of daily life but also with her general well-being. Not only do they help with daily chores, but they are always reliable, friendly and take time to chat. The friendly chats are as helpful as the more practical help.

We never expected our mother to willingly accept the level of care required, but she did, enabling her to live out her life where she wanted to be - at home. Very happy with the service that my sister has received. The carers that visit are the same people each time which is really pleasing because consistency is really important to us. The service is vital to helping my sister remain independent and we are amazed by the empathy and attention that the carers give. They are all wonderful people and we would be lost without them. A fall and broken wrist led to us looking for a regular care service for our mother, after researching and contacting several providers we met with the Great Care Company. All contact and meetings were conducted in an easy to deal with and professional manner. Mum is not good with change so we were anxious about starting home care for her as she can be stubborn and challenging, at times. We discussed this with the care company and they don’t push Mum to do things she doesn’t want to do, but they have achieved much more with her than any of us, as her children could have. The house is in a much cleaner condition, as is Mum! Now she is in the routine of having ‘visitors’ come and help her, it’s just become normal. It has also relieved some pressure on the family, juggling full-time jobs and childcare and living in another part of the country as we know someone is checking on her twice a day.

I have been very pleased with the quality of care provided for my parents over a difficult period. The two carers were competent, reliable and helpful. I am relieved that my father, in particular, felt comfortable with the care provided and that the carers quickly gained his trust. We would not hesitate to use this company for further care. It was particularly good that their was just a team of two, with only very occasional substitution.

The support our family received from the Great Care Company was excellent and although they only supported my step father for a short time, it was truly appreciated. They are very kind, supportive, committed, caring and most importantly for us - trustworthy. We would recommend anyone to use them to support their loved ones.

I find the care team to be excellent, with no complaints. In particular. one lady needs a special mention; she is great with Dad and very caring. However, the only frustration I have is regarding payment - I just don't understand why you can't operate with a direct debit facility.

We find it really hard to visit my mother and we are really pleased that she has the support of all the staff at The Great Care Company in York. She loves the girls that come to see her and always talks about how she enjoys the meals they cook for her. We've noticed such a difference in her, she has become so much happier since the carers have been visiting. Can't thank the team enough.

They have always treated my mum with respect and dignity and tried to lift her spirits and make her smile. I would recommend the Great Care Company to everyone. They have encouraged my husband to speak, how to move safely and used both professionalism and kindness. After every visit, they ask if there is anything else I want doing. The company are supportive, on the end of a phone and adaptable to our needs. The staff are aware of the complex medical needs and are updating things constantly.

Your care company was recommended to me when my father needed care - 4 times a day. He is very happy with his carers and very appreciative of all they do for him. It is such a weight off my shoulders and my brother's to know that he is being well-looked after and cared for and that he is happy and cheerful.
