Have been very impressed with the support and understanding the manager and the support team have given to Mum. Getting old and not being able to look after yourself is never easy, none of us would choose it, but we all face it. My experience of Home Instead is that they see the person they're giving care to first and foremost as a person, with a life, with passions, interests, concerns. And they are willing and able to engage with the individual. And it's also been my experience that careful thought goes into which caregiver/enabler will be best suited to each individual. It's been a very positive experience!
Thank you so much for these kind words. It has been an absolute pleasure to look after mum, and his carer has thoroughly enjoyed the outings, lunch clubs and activities they have been able to share.
The carers supplied by Home Instead are consistently sensitive and efficient. They are always willing to go that little bit extra. They genuinely care and as well as providing for my mother-in-law's needs in terms of getting washed and dressed, etc. they provide delightful companionship. The backroom team are very organised and when there is a crisis, it is all hands to the pumps.
Thank you so much, Jonny. We are so very fond of your mother-in-law and it is an honour to be part of her support.
The Home Instead management are very professional and caring. They understand both the needs of the family as well the client and any problems are solved smoothly and without fuss. The caregivers are absolutely wonderful people. They have enhanced my mother's life and she laughs more. As I don't live with mother, it's difficult to understand what's happening in her life and she can't remember what she's done in the day or simple things like if she's eaten, but through the care planning app I have a much better idea about her happiness and well being. Since Home Instead have become involved in my mother's life she is happier and my anxiety levels have reduced.
Thank you so much for your words Sarah. We are very attached to mum and love our visits to the Moor and supporting her in the community.
I am completing this review on behalf of my family and my now deceased father. We couldn't have asked for more supportive or compassionate care for our beloved Dad in his final few months. The team from Home Instead were knowledgeable and dedicated to the care that they provided not only to Dad but also to the wider family who were coming to terms with the pending loss of our loved one. The support that they provided made a very difficult and upsetting period more manageable and we know that Dad knew he was being cared for and looked after his final weeks and months, this enabled him to pass on in the relative comfort of his own home dignity and with his family around him. We would highly recommend Home Instead and thank them again for all of their care and support.
Thank you so much for these kind words. It was an honour and privilege to support Dad and yourselves during this difficult time.
I have been extremely impressed by the care and concern being given to my brother over the first few weeks. I am confident that Home Instead will help him feel much more confident about tackling everyday tasks and will boost his quality of life. He has a very caring team who are always willing to listen and take the anxiety away from him when he finds it difficult to cope.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write these kind words. We are so glad to come alongside your brother and the team are extremely fond of him.
I would definitely recommend them and will be using them again if or when the need arises.
Thank you so much for your kind words.
I have been convalescing with my daughter following an accident. At first, I was very reluctant to use the service, but I have been very pleased with the difference it has made to my daily life. As well as personal care the staff have performed many tasks like taking me to appointments and shopping. Nothing has been too much trouble for the friendly and efficient staff.
Thank you so much for your kind words. It is an absolute pleasure to have been of assistance to you Patricia.
My plan was to ask Home Instead to provide a carer to help me with my husband's personal care. My husband has the Alzheimer's form of dementia. Overall, in my mind, I also wanted them to provide carers for longer, even overnight, periods for respite. Unfortunately, I had left it too late in the progress of my husband's disease and he had reached the point where he would not accept any person at all coming to the house. His disengagement with the carer from Home Instead was upsetting both to me and the carer, who I know would have done a really good job. I wish I had been able to call on their services much earlier.
I am so relieved to have been introduced to this company. They provide just the service I was looking for so that I am able to leave my elderly mother for some R&R knowing that she is in the hands of expert carers. At the moment it is just one day a week but Mum benefits from the attention of the lovely ladies as well so I am considering increasing the number of visits in 2019.
Thank you so much for your kind words. It is an absolute pleasure to look after Mum and to give you the much needed R&R.
