My name is George Quinn and I hold the position of Registered Manager at Fuchsia Homecare Gorleston. Having previously served in the armed forces, I began my journey with Fuchsia as the Training Officer, later progressing to Assistant Manager and finally to Registered Manager while also gaining my Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care.
I am passionate about ensuring that vulnerable adults receive the care and support they require and deserve. I am committed to promoting the delivery of high-quality care and ensuring that each individual is treated as such. For me, person-centred care is at the heart of everything we do ensuring that each person is treated with dignity, respect, and personalised support.
Supporting the vulnerable members of our communities is a privilege. As the Registered Manager, my favourite aspect of the role is the ability to provide support to the staff, service users and their families while witnessing the positive changes in people's lives.
I started my career with Fuchsia Homecare as a care worker during the pandemic in 2020 this was a role I was very passionate about and really enjoyed. I have now been working for Fuchsia for over 5 years and undertook different roles and responsibilities in the office while being here and I am now a Senior Care Supervisor. This is a role I feel is well suited to me and I most enjoy going out to meet new customers and creating them a person-centred care plan to suit their needs.
I have had the opportunity to gain many different qualifications including Business and Administration level 3, Health and Social care level 3 and Specific learning difficulties level 2. I have just enrolled to myself into an Equality and Diversity level 2 course as I am passionate about learning and I enjoy expanding my knowledge for my role.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, going to the gym and I always have a art project on the go.
My name is Anneka, and I have been working in care for 5 years. I started my journey into domiciliary care before the pandemic started, and thoroughly enjoyed 4 years of meeting new people and learning new information about the care sector. During this time, I completed my level 2.
In 2024, I felt I needed a change of path, and I joined Fuchsia Homecare as a care supervisor. I have embraced my new job role and am currently working towards gaining my level 3. I hope to further my knowledge with more learning and completing courses.
My favourite part of the job is meeting new customers and chatting about their life and implementing this into their care plan so it is completely person-centred and tailored to their needs.
In my spare time, I enjoy socialising with friends and spending time with my son.
I have worked at Fuchsia Homecare for three and a half years. I started my journey at Fuchsia as an admin officer, before receiving a promotion to finance assistant after a year. I am now undertaking an AAT course to further my career in the financial industry. I regularly go out to cover care for our single assist customers when I can and have gained ample care knowledge, which allows me to assist my colleagues in their roles when needed.
I enjoy going out to deliver care, getting to know the customers, and seeing the difference that Fuchsia makes to people's lives.
I am passionate about animal welfare and donate to several charities. I also have a rescue Husky and am planning a volunteer programme in South Africa. In my spare time, I enjoy going to the theatre, concerts, the gym, travelling and spending time with my family.
Since moving to Norfolk in 2006, I have worked in adult social care within various different roles and companies.
I have been with Fuchsia Homecare Gorleston since the opening of the branch back in June 2018, where the Fuchsia family began.
I am the reviewing officer of Fuchsia Homecare Gorleston, which is a role I really enjoy, I have the privilege of seeing the customers every 6 months, which gives the customers continuity of the same face visiting, where trust and respect is given from both sides. Customers feel confident seeing the same person and compliments have been given on many occasions that our company is the only company who visit regularly and implement changes as they arise.
I am very passionate within my role, especially ensuring risk assessments of fire safety and manual handling equipment are all within working order and service dates.
The elderly community have a piece of my heart, I care for them as I would a family member.
I am a very family orientated person, we go away on holidays together and regularly have days out shopping, going to the theatre, cinema and dinner dates. My family are my life which includes my fur babies Dusty and Muffin.
