Carers are very good, they are caring and careful. Management is very approachable and helpful. They call back as soon as she even helps me understand my letters, and will come over to solve my problems. Overall, they all are great as advertised.
Thank you for your kind words and feedback. Much appreciated and always ready to assist.
The team at Home Care Preferred were outstanding! The carers were compassionate and looked after my mother with dignity and care during her final weeks - which allowed us to keep her at home surrounded by her family until she died. I would highly recommend this company to anyone requiring care at home.
Thank you for your kind words. Mum will be missed by all who cared for her and more. May she be blessed on her new journey for eternal happiness.
Home Care Preferred Barnet stepped in when my friend had returned home from hospital after having a fall. The management team went above and beyond, organising hospital beds, medication, speaking with GP's etc. Her live in carer was lovely, caring and compassionate. I have and will continue to recommend them.
Than you for your feedback and kind words. Much appreciated.
My wife's response after the carer had departed was positive, and then accepted the second visit today with acceptance.
Overall, I could not have asked for better care, and I was in full agreement with her findings after the end of the first visit - which was to agree to call again but to be cautious about my wife's suitability of the client.
Thank you for your kind words and glad that everything is working out well.
Extremely happy with my carer. Very willing and goes above and beyond. A pleasure to have in my home.
Thank you for your kind words and feedback. Much appreciated.
Qua's team stepped in to help my mother recently when her regular carer was on leave. I found the whole process very efficient including home assessment and subsequent electronic paperwork (thank you Diann). The two carers very quickly got used to my mother's routine and were efficient and courteous. It can be quite daunting for an elderly person to suddenly have a carer change, the two Home Care Preferred carers soon put my mother's mind at rest. Thank you.
Thank you for your kind words. Much appreciated. Please send our best wishes to mum.
So far, the nurses have worked hard to help her, who can be stubborn and difficult.
Thank you for your kind feedback and comments. Much appreciated.
I'm very happy with all the carers, who are very caring, helpful and both my husband and I can't do without them.

Thank you for your comments and kind words. Much apprecated.
We had a carer to look after the person I usually care for. She stayed from 11 am to 10 pm doing the cooking and some housework. She has looked after my client before, but my client has dementia and doesn't remember. They get on very well, and my client enjoys her visits. The carer is very helpful and friendly and leaves the house looking spick and span, with my client very contented and well fed.
Thank you for your feedback and kind words. Much appreciated.
The Carers are very nice, very helpful and they would do their possible best to help. They are very professional, understanding, caring, kind and hard working. They also work together as a team which very helpful.
Thank you for your kind words and feedback. Much appreciated.
Care has been good, carers who drive a car are more beneficial to people who are housebound. My carer has been very willing to do anything I want help with.
Thank you for your feedback and kind words. Much appreciated.
All the staff come on time, are very helpful, and will always do anything I asked them to do. I'm very happy with the situation.

My carer is excellent! No complaints at all.
Thank you for your kind words. Much appreciated for your comments.
My friend who I've known since 2024, fell ill with COVID during her missionary trip to Poland so she had to quarantine during a brief stay in London over Christmas. She was quarantined and cared for by Home Care Preferred Barnet, and the support she received was exceptional.
She had been feeling extremely unwell and isolated, especially being so far from home, but the carers went above and beyond to ensure she was not only physically cared for but also emotionally supported. It was a huge relief to know someone I care about was in such good hands during such a difficult time.
Thank you for your kind words. Much appreciated.
The care they provide is truly exceptional. The carers are not only professional but genuinely caring, often going above and beyond. On one occasion, I had to visit A&E, and my carer stayed with me the entire night due to the long wait. They made sure I was comfortable, checked on me regularly, ensured I ate something, and kept me hydrated throughout. Their kindness and dedication made a difficult situation much easier. I would wholeheartedly recommend this care service to anyone in need.
Thank you for your kind words and feedback. Much appreciated.
The staff/management and carers are absolutely top class, friendly and disciplined.
I will certainly recommend them, the peace of mind they give is irreplaceable and highly appreciated.
Thank you for your feedback and kind words. Much appreciated.
They looked after me very well when I broke my both ankles until I got back on my feet. The Staffs in the office were very helpful, easy to talk to and very friendly. I can honestly say that they go a hundred and ten percent all out for you. Nothing is too much for them. Carers were very caring and supportive and extremely helpful. I highly recommend Home Care Preferred Barnet.
Thank you for your kind words and hope you have fully recovered.

Meet the Team (6)
Angie started her career as a banker in 1982 and obtained her degree in Business Studies with a specialisation in UK Banking.
After having worked in banking for more than 30 years, Angie decided to retire and follow her passion for business by opening a care agency with her daughter Shir-li.
Angie has always had a caring and compassionate streak. She had cared for her terminally ill mother as well has her grandfather. Angie herself has also suffered an aneurysm and, for a time, engaged a private nurse to look after her. This experience of both receiving and delivering care gives Angie a unique perspective as a provider.
Angie is a very family-oriented individual. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, reading and completing Sudoku puzzles.
Shir-Li graduated from Sheffield Hallam University as a Physiotherapist but soon realised that her passion was for the care profession and decided to pursue opportunities in the sector.
Shir-Li first worked in the care profession at Home Care Preferred in Winchmore Hill. Here she excelled in several positions.
When the opportunity arose to open a Home Care Preferred branch in Barnet, along with other family members, Shir-Li welcomed this career progression. She became the Registered Care Manager and helped grow a successful branch.
After a period off for maternity leave, Shir-Li returned in a more varied role in which she can utilise her knowledge and skills. In addition to overseeing the Care Manager and Business Development Manager on the daily running of the business she also works with the management team to ensure the highest levels of care are delivered to clients. Shir-Li also collaborates with charities and relevant business partners to contribute towards well-being of the local community.
Qua is Angie’s husband. He has worked in the banking and insurance industry for close to 20 years. Prior to this Qua worked in Singapore for 8 years in engineering and telecommunications.
“Care services are part and parcel of life; it does not always encompass the elderly but a variety of age groups.” – Qua
Qua was made aware of the importance of quality care when Angie sustained an aneurysm. Qua helped to find a carer and helped in her recovery.
In his spare time, Qua enjoys reading, travelling, cooking and spending quality time with friends and family.
Diann grew up in Kuwait and moved abroad to pursue her Bachelor’s in Psychology and Sociology. From an early age, she knew she wanted to help people, and in 2018, she got the opportunity to work in the care sector as a Support Assistant with Home Care Preferred. She knew immediately it was the right choice for her, and with Shir-Li’s guidance and support, she soon progressed to become a Team Leader. In March 2022, Diann became the care coordinator for the company. Diann studies for her care management qualification and, in the summer of 2024, became the registered care manager at Home Care Preferred in Barnet.
Diann is a fun-loving person who works well with people of different age groups. She enjoys challenges in life and is willing to explore new adventures. When she is not working, she likes spending time with her family, especially her nephew’s, watching a movie, or reading a book.
“Working in the care sector means every day is different and holds a new challenge, but at the end of the day, it also gives you job satisfaction. Just knowing that you made a difference in someone's life, and because of you, someone can live a happy and independent life in their own home.”
Michaela has worked in the care sector since 2012. She joined Home Care Preferred in Barnet in 2021 as a Support Assistant and was promoted to a Team Leader in the summer of 2023.
Michaela particularly enjoys helping and training new team members and finds the care profession highly rewarding. Out of working hours, Michaela enjoys trying new cuisines and spending time with family and friends.
Growing up, I always found great joy in connecting with the older generation. There was something deeply rewarding about hearing their stories, understanding their needs, and offering my support. This passion naturally led me into a career as a support assistant. After I gained experience, it was only right for me to combine my care for the elderly with my organisational skills, becoming a Care Coordinator.
As a Care Coordinator, I get the unique opportunity to interact with both the carers and the clients, forming meaningful relationships with both. This role allows me to act as a bridge, ensuring that the needs of the clients are met with empathy, attention, and efficiency.
The work I do is more than just a job—it’s a reflection of my values. I believe that everyone deserves care, respect, and dignity. I am proud to play a part in ensuring everyone feels valued and supported.
