When I first phoned I spoke to the finance director, told her my mother needed care but I had no idea what to enquire about. She was very helpful and arranged for an assessment the next day. The manager carried out the assessment, and she was wonderful. The service started immediately with no delay, which is just what my mother needed. I subsequently asked my mother if she liked the carer service and if she liked the carers. My mother's only previous experience of carers was during and after a hospital stay, and she did not much like the care she received then. Home Care Preferred carers were clearly much nicer, and my mother was very pleased with the Home Care Preferred carers and their service in general. I have had a very good experience with this company and I am really pleased I went to them.

The carer took really good care of the client, providing medicine and meals regularly. The carer made sure that the client had a balanced diet and provided all the necessities that the client needed. The carer was very friendly and patient with the client. The carer also kept me updated on the client's recovery progressed every day.

I have used this group for about three years. The first visit is at 8 am to get me up. The second is at 8.30 pm to put me to bed. They are very reliable. Telephone warming if any (rare) delays/problems. I have walking problems and from time to time one of them escorts me to a hospital visit. Very helpful in reminding me of what was said. Could not do without them.

The care, support and help are good, and they have always been there when we needed them. They were especially helpful during the Covid period and during some emergency incidents, which occurred and required hospital treatment.

I cannot speak highly enough of Home Care Preferred Barnet whom we have used over the past three years to care for my mother who had severe dementia. We received an excellent, reliable and efficient service from them, but more importantly a very caring one - from top to bottom - from managers to carers alike. My mum saw several carers during her last few years and they were all equally as caring and understanding and I would not hesitate to recommend them. The management team are responsive and sensitive. We will always be grateful to the whole team for the wonderful care they afforded to my mum in her last few years. Thank you to them all.

Whenever a need arose it was dealt with promptly. Managers often going out of their way to make sure he was happy and all aspects of his care were covered. They went to great efforts to make sure father was looked after in the manner that he preferred, and that his final days could be spent in his own home in surroundings that were as familiar and comforting as possible. I really cannot recommend them enough, the care he receives is kind and compassionate, he is always treated with dignity and respect and he is so happy with "the girls", as he calls them and looks forward to them visiting. All of the staff are highly trained which as a family gives us peace of mind knowing that he is being cared for by professionals of the highest standard. The continuity of care has been amazing and if his usual carer is on leave they will ensure that my father-in-law is introduced to a new carer prior to them commencing their shift, for us this is very important and it makes him feel safe. Home Care Prefered are an amazing agency and are professional, kind, compassionate and couldn't do enough for my elderly mum. All the care staff are just lovely and they made my mum feel secure, cared for and looked after her personal care and also her household needs, no job was too small. They looked after her like she was a member of their own family. Any concerns they had for her health or wellbeing they contacted me straight away and on other occasions, they picked up medications from her doctor and even called the gas company when her heating broke down. Highly recommend every single one of them.

I have been looked after by the agency for 1 year and I have no complaints. The carers do their job and they are friendly. We have a good relationship. They have on occasions taken me to the hospital and made sure my family is informed. I enjoy my chats with my carers.

We had a carer come to look after my mum during April 2020 to help her recover from Covid19. She was absolutely amazing with her and I’m sure, had it not been for her care, my mum would not have made such a good recovery. We were sad when she left but she continues to call my mum regularly, even now. I have also recommended her to my friend's mother who has dementia and she is now helping her.
