I cannot speak highly enough of Home Care Preferred Barnet whom we have used over the past three years to care for my mother who had severe dementia. We received an excellent, reliable and efficient service from them, but more importantly a very caring one - from top to bottom - from managers to carers alike. My mum saw several carers during her last few years and they were all equally as caring and understanding and I would not hesitate to recommend them. The management team are responsive and sensitive. We will always be grateful to the whole team for the wonderful care they afforded to my mum in her last few years. Thank you to them all.

We are very happy to do a review of Home Care Preferred Barnet. We have been having their services for over 8 months and have found them to be very efficient and helpful. The carers are very reliable and our friend who uses the service is very happy with the level of care she receives. They often do additional tasks without being asked and we are very pleased with the overall service, and we highly recommend them.

We are extremely happy with the service from Home Care Preferred Barnet for my elderly father, who has dementia. They understood our needs completely and went the extra mile to look after him. Importantly, they ensured that he was well cared for and was treated with dignity and respect. His carer has a very caring attitude, is empathetic and supportive and has built a good relationship with him. Both my father and I appreciated that we could rely upon them to help and support us, which allows him to live in familiar surroundings in his own home. They are very willing to accommodate our needs and nothing is too much for them. I highly recommend them.

When my elderly father-in-law unexpectedly needed support after a minor operation I was not sure where to turn. We live two hours away and we were not sure if it would even be possible to find an agency at short notice that would be flexible enough to visit him four times a day for a month only. Thankfully, I found Home Care Preferred Barnet and they saved the day! The whole team without exception are kind, caring, well organised and flexible. We cannot praise them enough. My father-in-law looked forward to their visits every day and we were one hundred percent confident in their care and professionalism. I would not hesitate to recommend them and would go further and say, that if you find Home Care Preferred Barnet and engage their services, then it will be a very fortunate day for you and your family as it was for us.

From my initial contact through to the care given and transfer to a residential home, the quality of care and support given to my parents and to my siblings and me was fabulous. Everyone at Home Care Preferred Barnet was first class with a genuine interest in caring for my parents. Feedback from the carers was prompt and the leaders went out of their way to provide support at all times. In what can be a stressful situation, we felt very fortunate to have Home Care Preferred at our side

Home Care Preferred Barnet looked after my father for the final year of his life. We relied on them very heavily and they were always supportive, understanding and knowledgeable. Whenever a need arose it was dealt with promptly. Managers often going out of their way to make sure he was happy and all aspects of his care were covered. They went to great efforts to make sure father was looked after in the manner that he preferred, and that his final days could be spent in his own home in surroundings that were as familiar and comforting as possible. During the exceptionally difficult time of a global pandemic, it was very reassuring to know that his care was being handled so well. I have no hesitation in recommending them. Thank you Home Care Preferred.

Thank you Richard. Dad will be missed by all the team members and we truly treasure the time we spent with him. We are sure he is in a better place and free of our worldly constraints. May God bless him.

Home Care Preferred Barnet are an extremely professional agency. They go to many lengths to match you with a carer that can suit your every need. I have MS, and I am wheelchair-bound with high care needs. From the day I started with the agency, my care has been of the highest standard and is the same today as it was on the first day. I would highly recommend this agency.

Home Care Preferred Barnet have been supporting my father-in-law since October 2019. I really cannot recommend them enough, the care he receives is kind and compassionate, he is always treated with dignity and respect and he is so happy with "the girls", as he calls them and looks forward to them visiting. All of the staff are highly trained which as a family gives us peace of mind knowing that he is being cared for by professionals of the highest standard. The continuity of care has been amazing and if his usual carer is on leave they will ensure that my father-in-law is introduced to a new carer prior to them commencing their shift, for us this is very important and it makes him feel safe. The communication between the management team and the family is amazing, so if you are looking for quality care from people you can trust then please contact Home Care Preferred Barnet.

Home Care Prefered are an amazing agency and are professional, kind, compassionate and couldn't do enough for my elderly mum. All the care staff are just lovely and they made my mum feel secure, cared for and looked after her personal care and also her household needs, no job was too small. They looked after her like she was a member of their own family. Any concerns they had for her health or wellbeing they contacted me straight away and on other occasions, they picked up medications from her doctor and even called the gas company when her heating broke down. Highly recommend every single one of them.

My family would wholeheartedly recommend Home Care Preferred Barnet to anyone who is looking for care for a loved one. From our first meeting with the manager and her team over a year ago, we have been thoroughly impressed with their care, professionalism and pride in finding the right carer for our mum. As well as having a wonderful carer living with my mum at home, the behind the scenes support has been incredible and gone above and beyond for our family. As I say, we cannot recommend them highly enough!

We had a carer come to look after my mum during April 2020 to help her recover from Covid19. She was absolutely amazing with her and I’m sure, had it not been for her care, my mum would not have made such a good recovery. We were sad when she left but she continues to call my mum regularly, even now. I have also recommended her to my friend's mother who has dementia and she is now helping her. A really lovely and kind person - I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her services - thank you.

We have used Home Care Preferred Barnet since August 2019 following Dad’s discharge from hospital. In all that time we have found their service and attention exemplary. They were totally flexible in changing care plans to reflect Dad’s needs, ensuring the start of care was seamless with the two hospital discharges and covering all aspects of his care needs. Thank you to the manager and the rest of the team for making Dad’s home care as dignified and supportive as possible. Yes I would thoroughly recommend them. Thank you.

Growing up, I always found great joy in connecting with the older generation. There was something deeply rewarding about hearing their stories, understanding their needs, and offering my support. This passion naturally led me into a career as a support assistant. After I gained experience, it was only right for me to combine my care for the elderly with my organisational skills, becoming a Care Coordinator.

As a Care Coordinator, I get the unique opportunity to interact with both the carers and the clients, forming meaningful relationships with both. This role allows me to act as a bridge, ensuring that the needs of the clients are met with empathy, attention, and efficiency.

The work I do is more than just a job—it’s a reflection of my values. I believe that everyone deserves care, respect, and dignity. I am proud to play a part in ensuring everyone feels valued and supported.
