Meet the Team (7)
Having worked for many well-known Retailers over the last 30 years including B&Q and Superdrug and more recently being employed as the Operations Director for B&Q's parent company Kingfisher in Russia I wanted to open my own business and do something completely different. My wife and mother-in-law both work in home care and I found myself being excited by the opportunity of setting up a new business where I could add something back to the community by looking after people in their own homes and giving them a better quality of life through a well trained and caring team of support workers.
Working in care for several years and being passionate about delivering the best standards of professional care and support it made sense for my husband and me to open the Homecare business where we can offer our services to the local community. Given the growing need for Homecare, I am looking forward to ensuring our clients in Cambridge and South Cambridgeshire get the level of service they deserve.
I joined Caremark in July 2020 after always wanting to work in healthcare. I am passionate about providing a high-quality care service and ensuring people can remain happy and comfortable in their own homes. I was delighted to be offered the opportunity of becoming a Care Manager as it means I can continue working with both clients and carers to make sure we are providing the best service possible.
Mel has over 10 years of care experience in both office and field roles and her real passion is looking after people. Mel has built up a great rapport with many of our customers and is now doing a great job in the office where she can influence and look after all of our customers.
Having worked in Hospitality for several years I decided to join Caremark Cambridge in August 2022 to try a different career and learn new approaches to working in a new sector. Working in care has been really rewarding and given me a lot of satisfaction, I am really looking forward to taking on the new challenge of the Field Care Supervisor role.
I joined Caremark in 2025 as a Business Administration Apprentice and quickly discovered how much I enjoyed working in the care sector. At the end of my apprenticeship, I was excited to be offered the role of Care Coordinator, and I’ve really valued the opportunity to take on more responsibility within the team.
I have enjoyed getting to know both our customers and the wider team, and I’m passionate about supporting people to remain independent in their own homes. Being part of their journey and helping to make day-to-day life a little easier is something I find incredibly rewarding.
I’m looking forward to continuing to grow in my role and contributing to the high-quality service we provide.
I worked in care for a couple of years before joining Caremark in 2024, and I was delighted to become a Senior Carer in 2025. My role allows me to work alongside Jessica, supporting both staff and customers out in the field, as well as helping in the office when needed.
I am passionate about making customers feel valued, respected, and truly listened to. Building trust and offering reassurance is something that comes naturally to me, and I always aim to be a supportive, reliable presence for my colleagues, too. Being a listening ear and helping others grow in confidence is one of the parts of the job I enjoy most.
I’m proud to be part of the Caremark team and to play a role in ensuring our customers receive the highest standard of care.
