Overall Experience

The staff team at Redfield have been caring for my husband who has dementia for nearly 18 months. They have all been very professional and supportive. We have benefited from their experience with both their advice and suggestions, flexibility from both sides working together in my husband's best interests. Nothing too much trouble whatever the day brings. They are both patient, encouraging and get the best out of my husband. A willingness to come at all costs even when access is very challenging e.g through high water/flooding.

Overall Experience

A fabulous day's entertainment for my mum and all the other attendees. Activities, care and socialising with kindness and enthusiasm. I spent time with the group sheltering from the rain last week, along with dogs and grandchildren. I could see the improved mood and engagement in everyone by the end when I came to collect my mum. I only wish there were more of them.

Overall Experience

Radfield Home Care have been visiting my aunt for over a year and have made such a difference to my life. The carers are patient and kind, keeping an eye on everything including her cats and feeding the birds. All the staff, including the office staff are very supportive and communication is excellent. I am off on holiday this week and know that my aunt will be in safe hands and well looked after. Thank you all very much.

Overall Experience

We have had Radfield Home Care attend to both Mum and Dad's needs, particularly around mealtimes, for more than a year now. Everything about their provision has been completely first-class, from telephone interaction, email correspondence, planning, service execution and follow-up. On occasions when small difficulties have arisen, often for reasons not their making, Radfield have been quick to attend, creative in suggestive solutions and have listened and responded exactly as needed. We have recently needed to increase cover up to four visits daily and the assessment of need and response has been exemplary. But, what really sets them apart is their care staff. When providing a complex service need, it can be easy to overlook the quality, but Radfield absolutely and completely care.

Overall Experience

I have found all your carers to be kind, thoughtful, professional and friendly. My only slight criticism is that on two occasions the carers arrived one hour earlier than I had been told, which disrupted my schedule as that was my afternoon off! A call to advise me of a change to the rota would have been helpful. Otherwise, I have been very satisfied.

Overall Experience

Radfield home care have provided support for my mother over the past year. I couldn't speak too highly of the professional and caring way that they have looked after my mother, who now has dementia. Having said that she still likes to have fun and always enjoys a good chat.

Everyone in the team do their best to make my mother's life easy. The coordinators are very helpful and will always ring to let me know if there is a slight delay and will always do their best to provide extra care, no matter how short the notice.

Our carers have been marvellous, they all have their different styles. They work very hard to make my mothers day interesting and different. My mother goes out on trips such as a walk in the park or around the shops to a meal in a restaurant. Or even a trip to a nail bar.

As my mother lives with us at home, having the carers from Radfield come in daily to look after her has given my husband and I a much-needed break. They are simply brilliant.

My husband looked forward to the carers coming to put him to bed each evening, they were so friendly, patient and caring. The Radfield team really understand teamwork. They not only work effectively between carers and the office staff, but also with my sister and I in supporting our parents.

Communications are effective and we are quickly informed of any issues of concern. The carers themselves are terrific, providing good care, they are generally practical, adaptable and willing, manage to find humour in some challenging situations and above all they really do care. There really are some outstanding individuals on the team and we feel blessed to have chosen this agency.

Overall, Dad and I have been very happy with the care provided and it provides great assurance for me as I do not live locally. Radfield Care are always flexible too if I cancel a visit because I will be with Dad.

Overall Experience

Radfield have always been a caring and flexible company. We use their services at least 5 days a week to look after my bed-ridden mother-in-law who has dementia, and the staff are always caring and compassionate. The management are always available, and when we need last-minute cover they do everything possible to help us out. Overall, an excellent service, I have recommended a few clients and will continue to do so. A great team and pleasure to deal with.

Excellent carers with a great customer focused support team behind them. Radfield have kept up with the changing requirements of our parents, communicating with us promptly and sensitively. The carers have shown good humour and patience in the face of challenging situations and have raised medical observations swiftly and with good sense. I thoroughly recommend Radfield.

Overall Experience

I have been very impressed with the care, camaraderie and compassion that both my parents have received from Radfield Homecare. The vast majority of staff have been very kind and gentle, treating them both as fully functional adults and made them feel valued in spite of their severe ailments. Communication with Head Office has been good and my parents have been listened to. Head Office have also helped proactively with applications for additional care funds. My advice for anyone starting a care package is to give it time to bed in and communicate with the office staff and the carers. It is clear that Radfield staff want to get it right for you and will adapt their practices to meet your needs wherever it is possible. I cannot thank them enough.

Matt Barnes Job Title: Director Joined: 2019
Matt Barnes
Matt, co-owner and director of Radfield Home Care Wycombe, Beaconsfield and South Bucks, for the past 11 years has worked in the financial services sector as a research analyst, operations manager and client adviser, assisting individuals and businesses with their financial planning.

In addition, Matt has been involved in the start-up and development of SME’s, helping to put in place business systems to enable growth and scalability. Matt also has experience in recruitment and as a local business account manager in London within the fast-paced telecommunications industry.

As a qualified financial planner, Matt wants to use his experience to to grow a business in this rewarding sector, to help the local older community.

Matt explains, “Making a complete career change with a young family and launching Radfield Home Care has been a huge step change for us as a family. However, it also brings an extremely exciting time and allows us to to build something very special, that we know will become an invaluable care service to older people in our community, securing a financial future that can be passed to our children in years to come.”

Diana Gocan

We would like to introduce you to Diana, care manager for Radfield Home Care Wycombe, Beaconsfield & South Bucks. Diana is responsible for the day-to-day running of the office in line with CQC regulations and also for ensuring that the service is safe, caring, responsive, effective and well-led. She is the key point of contact for carers, clients and their families and promotes individual’s well being at all times.

Diana’s valuable experience, gained from a wide range of care sector positions, means she is ideally suited to the role. Diana details her professional journey to Radfield:

“I started working in care in February 2016 when I arrived in England. I worked for several domiciliary care companies before joining a care home in 2018. I began as a Care Assistant, but was quickly promoted to the positions of Medication Technician and Senior Care Assistant (Lead). During my time at the care home, I completed a 6-week Leadership Program, which I passed with Merit. At the same time, I also worked as a Care Assistant in complex care, where the focus was on clinical aspects like tracheostomy, peg feeding, and cough assist.

I have always been eager to develop my skills and grow in my career. So, in 2020, I applied for a supervisor position in a domiciliary care company and was successful. After just four months, I was offered the position of Registered Care Manager for the same company, where I stayed for another year. Following that, I held a Care Manager position for another domiciliary care company for two years, where I worked closely with NHS Mental Health.”
