After my husband had his stroke and the set weeks from the NHS carers we were recommended to Home Instead (Dartford). The carers that have come every week from the 1st of June have been a ray of sunshine, supporting both of us, especially my husband encouraging him in speech, walking and in exercises and some household chores.

Although we only were able to use this service for a couple of months, I was impressed by the care and support given to my ninety-four year old father. He managed to stay living independently and enjoyed the care and companionship the carers delivered. I would recommend this service as it was good value for money and the administration was great. The only reason we had to switch to a care home was due to the immobility of my father, requiring two helpers rather than one. I would like to praise one staff member in particular for her advice and care with my dad. Her patience was endless and she was such a happy person, despite the challenges from my dad’s dementia. Thank you all carers for keeping him safe and in his own home as long as possible.

My mum has just reached the first anniversary of being under the care of Home Instead (Dartford) and their care professionals. During this year she has experienced only the best of care at all times. Mum's quality of life at home, under their care, has improved significantly, as has mine as I have not had any issues/concerns/problems to worry about. Having low stress/anxiety now has allowed myself and my family to relax and enjoy the company of my mum and also without very regular phone chats, full of happy topics and laughter. The care given so devotedly, especially by her main care professional, clearly shows in my mum's well-being and contentment.

They are responsible for reminding Mum to take her medication and cooking her lunch and preparing her tea. Often they note the food that she has enjoyed, which helps me when planning her food order.
When we first looked at a home for Mum, she said that it was too far away from her friends, I asked who she meant and she said the girls that look after me. Well done to all of the lovely staff at Dartford Home Instead.

My relative has very little long-term memory and does not have any family locally to help her with arranging hospital appointments, let alone transport. The Home Instead team has been brilliant. Organising care professionals to go with her and arranging taxis. The hospital has canceled and rearranged appointments and Home Instead have managed every time to get her there.

While we were away, the two carers were great, particularly one, because the other only had to make one visit, so I can't really judge. I felt very confident in the main carer.
On our return from holiday, Mum barely mentioned the care she received at all - further proof that she did not want to engage, but I was very impressed, and it meant we could enjoy our break without constantly thinking about Mum. I will certainly use Home Instead again next time we go away.

From the start of asking for help for my uncle, I received all the support I could have wished for. The manager and carer listened to all my worries and really took the time to know my uncle and myself. I am a natural worrier and they have totally put my mind at rest with their caring attitude. In general, we are pleased overall with the care service. There have been a few glitches since my mother had the live-in care service from November last year. I accept that my mother can demonstrate challenging behaviours, but carers need to be able to deal with this and demonstrate the necessary skills. One small point I would pick up is taking a photograph of a client whilst eating and ensuring that consent to take the photo is obtained. I accept this is a minor issue, but personally, I would not like to be photographed whilst eating. Photos of the meal itself would be most welcome.

The care and attention are second to none, the communication is brilliant and any phone calls made are answered on the 1st ring. I am the proud father of twin boys and husband to my life and business partner, Christina. With my NVQ Level 5 in Leadership & Management (awarded with Distinction), I provide experienced leadership to our wonderful team. These days, I am focusing on my personal health and finding balance through a regular routine of running and jogging.
A Legacy of World-Class Service
My journey began in Nepal and continued through Northern India as the son of an Army officer. This upbringing instilled in me a deep sense of discipline and adaptability. Before founding Home Instead Dartford, I spent 17 years in the luxury hospitality sector. Working alongside legendary chefs like Gordon Ramsay and Chris Galvin, and managing service for prestigious brands like Taj Hotels, I mastered the art of high-standard, person-centred service.
Why We Built Home Instead Dartford
In 2019, Christina and I felt a calling to serve our local community. Following personal experiences with family and friends, we wanted to create a service that made a tangible difference. Most importantly, we wanted to lead by example for our sons. Our philosophy is the ‘Mom/Dad Test’: we only welcome team members into our family whom we would trust to look after our own parents.

I am incredibly proud of the culture we have built. For six consecutive years, Home Instead Dartford has been recognised as a WorkBuzz 5-Star Employer. Professional Training & Community Safety
I am a certified trainer in several critical areas, including Medication, Baseline Observation, Basic Life Support, Manual Handling, Dementia, and End-of-Life care. I find great fulfilment in leading these sessions in our office to ensure our Care Professionals are the best-equipped in the region.
My commitment to the community also extends beyond our office doors. I regularly host free local sessions on:
Dementia Awareness: Volunteering as a Dementia Friends Ambassador.
Hands-Only CPR: Providing life-saving skills to residents.
Scam Awareness: Helping seniors stay safe from financial fraud.
Personal Life
When I’m not in the office or training the team, I’m usually enjoying time with my family, listening to music, or out on a run. It is a privilege to lead such a diverse and dedicated team that contributes so much to the lives of our clients.
Hi, I am Christina, mom of amazing twin boys, Ram’s wife and one of the owners of Home Instead Dartford.
I have been passionate about looking after others since a fairly young age, from spending a school summer holiday in Guatemala to help build a school, working in an SOS Children’s Village in Africa for three months after I finished school and then spending the next 20+ years looking after guests in hotels all over the world.
It was, however, the experience with my grandmother, a friend of ours and a family member, that was the main contributor for us to start Home Instead Dartford.
Having the option to remain in your own home, with great care and by giving you as much independence as possible, should be the norm for anyone needing support, rather than being moved into residential care straight away.
Our slogan ‘To us, it’s personal’ is very much summarising what Ram and I want to achieve with the support our team provides. From in-depth consultations to get to know the client, to the creation of a bespoke care plan and then regular service reviews and quality assurance checks once a client receives our support – everything we do is person-centred and created for that individual.
At the same time, we support our team in any way possible and ensure they have the right training, tools and supervision to do what they do best: look after our clients with passion and empathy.
Home Instead Dartford is not just a business for us – we want to enhance the lives of everyone we encounter and help ageing adults to enjoy longer, happy times in their own homes.

I’ve worked in the care sector for over 15 years and gained a lot of experience and knowledge.
I’ve worked my way up in different positions within the industry. I started as a carer; I’ve been a Supervisor, Care Coordinator, Compliance & Quality Coordinator and worked up to the position I’m in now, which is Deputy Care Manager.
I previously worked for Home Instead for over 1.5 years and left to follow a different pathway within the care industry which I didn’t enjoy and wasn’t for me. I also missed everyone at Home Instead and the fulfilment I got from working here. I spoke to Ram and Christina after 3 months of leaving about returning, they welcomed me back with open arms along with the office team and Care Pros.
My goals are to succeed in my new role as Deputy Care Manager and to move the business forward to ensure our clients are receiving the best possible care they deserve and to support/mentor the office team, so they work to a good standard and are confident within their roles. Also, the Care Pros are working to a high standard and they gain confidence and knowledge in their professional role and receive a lot of job satisfaction from supporting their clients. Also, for me to gain even more knowledge within my new role and complete any training within it.
Home Instead is a great company to work for, they have high values on how people should be looked after and ethos. Ram and Christina have supported me in every way they can through thick and thin within my professional career and anything else.
