I highly recommend Retain Healthcare, who came to my rescue whilst I was in the district for a short visit of five days for my father's funeral. I am under NHS care where I live, but it was far too complicated to organise a reciprocal arrangement. I made a tiny contact for Retain Healthcare, one they could easily have turned down, but worth the weight of gold to me, as I have a nasojejunal feeding tube. The nurses were competent, caring and compassionate people, who made the experience as if I was seeing friends, not receiving medical attention. They understood and respected the nuances of my treatment. Excellent service.

The team that supported him at home were professional and polite and a high level of care was provided at all times. The staff who visited the house were courteous to his needs particularly as these often changed on a day to day basis. Any concerns or issues we may have had along the way were sorted immediately and we were always kept up to date with his care. My father-in-law came first and was treated with the utmost respect, ensuring he always received what he wanted allowing him the dignity he deserved. I would certainly have no concerns in recommending them to anyone needing homecare support in the future.

We hit the jackpot with the care and support we had from the three ladies who helped my daughter and I spend the 41 golden days at home with my wife. More than their professionalism in the way they treated my wife, they showed the personal touch when she was feeling low. The team leader was top rate and very informative in showing me how to care for my wife. I learnt a lot. A big thank you to Retain and the three ladies, you were/are a blessing.

The carers that come to me, help me to get out of bed, take me to the toilet, help me wash and dress and take me to the lounge. If my daughters are not here, they will give me my lunch, tablets and a cup of tea. They are very kind, respectful, and I am treated with dignity. We really couldn't do without them; its a valuable service.

My husband received end of life care from a team of Retain carers, and I could not have asked for better support, more kindness and greater care than we received. I felt he received better and more expert care than he had received in the hospital. I will always be so grateful to the Retain team.

Retain looked after my mother for a 2 week period. The staff were exceptional and so kind and gentle with her. At a very stressful time for my mother and myself, they provided the care and concern that was needed. They did a fantastic job.

Retain were first booked in to help mum when she came out of hospital, the girls who came were so friendly and professional Mum and my sister immediately formed a great bond with them. She loved the carers especially 2 in particular. She went into a care home for a few weeks but wanted to come home as her condition deteriorated. I rang the office and asked what they could do and they had organised a complete 24/7 care package within a day using the familiar carers where possible, this enabled mum to get her wish, we got her home and she passed away within a few days but the care she received from the girls was amazing and the speed they were able to activate the care package gave her her wish to come home possible. As mum faded away the carers were also very caring towards me and I felt so supported at this very sad time. Thank you from the whole family we really appreciate your help.
