Westmorland Homecare is a unique service set up originally by 2 Doctors with a passion for community home care service. Their vision is to change the way home care is delivered by making a positive difference to people's lives every day. They want to provide the best care it is possible to provide and want all their clients to be happy with their support.

Staff help people to stay happy, healthy and active at home by providing a comprehensive range of services. From a couple of hours per week for companionship and shopping to 24-hour personal care at home, they will build a tailor-made care package for each client.

Staff are really passionate about changing the way care is delivered and doing something really special. They are proud to have recruited a wonderful team of caring, compassionate people who do the job because they love helping people in their hearts.

They founded Westmorland Homecare on traditional values and are passionate about providing the highest quality care. Their mission is to change the lives of people in their community, both clients and staff, by creating something really special.

Of all the companies I have seen, none compare to the outstanding service the wonderful people at Westmorland provide. We are so happy we see the same carers visiting and they always turn up when they are meant to. They do extras for us when we need it and they are extremely good at responding when
our needs change, sometimes last minute! What a company, what great staff, couldn't recommend them enough. Thank you for everything you do especially during these times. It does not go unnoticed.

The care provided by Westmorland Homecare from initial consultation onwards has been impeccable. They are punctual, caring and compassionate and often go above and beyond. The detail is second to none, and my father is delighted with the help he receives. We all feel as though a weight has been lifted
since Westmorland started. I can't recommend them highly enough.

I have found this company the best for care, being run correctly. The staff are friendly and approachable, both at home and in the office. There are some that need to understand their approach in manner and using the medication correctly. It is a shame the council does not help financially for clients
as I am sure other people would commit to this agency.

Our thanks to all at Westmorland Homecare for the outstanding care and attention shown to Mum at what has been a very difficult time for us as a family. We would have loved to keep Mum at home with your wonderful care but the time had come for her to have full-time dementia care. All the girls were
amazing and seemed very well supported by management. Thanks to everyone.

Absolutely amazing the way the carers stay for the allotted time, the way they always send our favourite carers and the ways in which they help us on a daily basis. Finally I am able to live my own life and do the things I love because I know my partner is finally receiving the care she deserves and
we cannot recommend Westmorland Homecare highly enough. Anybody who uses Westmorland are in extremely good hands thank you!

We have used other companies. Westmorland Homecare and the team are miles better than everyone else. They allowed Dad to choose the carers and the times of the visits. Dad had continuity, trust and happiness. They came to us at short notice when we needed extra help. This shows the level of professionalism
from the office team to the caring team. Great communication. Would recommend that EVERYONE uses the Westmorland team.

I would recommend Westmorland Homecare to everyone. There have been many times where we have needed last-minute changes, and the team have always been able to incorporate the changes immediately.
Mum and Dad have a regular team of carers who turn up on time. The office and the carers are all superb!

When I started my journey with Westmorland Homecare I was new to care and it was something I had never done before. However, I quickly settled into my role as an HCA and loved my day-to-day duties, loved seeing all my regular clients and helping them stay independent.


After 12 months of being with Westmorland, I was offered a Senior position and my favourite duty was mentoring and guiding new HCAs. I loved this opportunity because it is really rewarding and there’s nothing better than seeing their confidence grow just like mine did.


After 18 months I found out I had been shortlisted for an award at the Great British Care Awards for ‘Newcomer to care’! Needless to say, this was a huge surprise!


I am over the moon to have been promoted to Care manager leading our very special team.

I have always been passionate about Health and Social care since being in high school where I did my work placement in a Care Home looking after people with dementia. I loved the aspect of making a positive difference to people and always trying to enhance their lives, reflecting on this I then decided to go to college and study my Level 3 in Health & Social Care. During my education, I had the pleasure of completing a work placement at the hospital looking after the elderly and in a care home.


Post College I then completed 100 hours of work placement combined working as a student nurse at Clifton hospital giving rehabilitation to patients enabling them to safely get back to living at home and at the day surgery unit at Blackpool Victoria Hospital. Doing work placement and working in lots of different environments allowed me to work alongside lots of different people and gain lots of experience and confidence.


I have worked full time in a Care Home with Dementia residents and this opened my eyes to how much great, person-centred care can impact the individuals lives and their families too. It made me want to be the best carer I could be and give them the best quality of life. I then moved on to Domiciliary care and eventually found my way to Westmorland homecare as a carer. I have loved every minute of working for this company and loved building relationships with the clients and treating them as if they were my family.


I am now a Recruitment Coordinator for the company, and I want to do everything I can to recruit the best carers to ensure the clients are getting the best care possible, whilst ensuring the carers receive all the support they need. I look forward to chatting with you.
