I am very pleased with the service I receive from Westmorland Homecare. The Health Care assistants are always helpful and friendly, in fact, I regard them more as friends than carers. They never allow their own problems to encroach on their attention to clients. Occasionally, unforeseen circumstances mean last-minute changes but they always deal with this calmly and efficiently. The staff are excellent in their efforts to ensure clients receive the carers they prefer and are most familiar with - not always an easy task. Yes, I am most satisfied.
We are very happy with Westmorland and all the carers that attend my father. They are always very friendly, polite and professional and will go the extra mile. Thank you.
Very professional and reliable. They regularly review Mum's care plan with the family and ensure it is followed by the carers. On each visit, my mum is treated with respect, she doesn't have mental capacity so it is important her carers are people we trust supported by a competent management team.

The staff have been so wonderful with both Mum and Dad. The manager has been very helpful and all the staff I have spoken to have been great. The carers visit three times a day and provide the assistance needed for personal care and other domestic needs. Any requests or changes to the routine are quickly implemented. The regular reviews help to ensure that all my parent's requirements are accommodated. I would recommend the company to anyone requiring care at home.

I have MS and Westmorland have been looking after me for nearly the last five years now. The care I've received has been amazing. The carers are always are of any changes in my personal care and there seems to be excellent communication between them regarding such things. The company does its best to provide the same small team for me and the times that suit me. The carers are all so lovely and become friends. Although over a short term, I was extremely impressed with your preparation and ability to put into place and execute a care package for my elderly parents. Westmorland Homecare provides excellent care for our elderly mother. The carers constantly go the extra mile with Mum and it is clear that their role is much more than just a job. Nothing is too much trouble and care is delivered in a respectful, good-natured and humorous way, which is just what Mum wants. They are all fantastic. Mum's package is constantly reviewed and updated to ensure it is specific for her ever-changing needs and this, together with the carer's professionalism provides our family with the assurance that Mum is in good hands.

We have used Westmorland Homecare since Feb 2020. They have consistently provided excellent personalised care for mum. The ladies (carers) are reliable, pleasant, and efficient and her package is very tailored to her specific needs. They have never let us down and have jumped in for last-minute requests which is very much appreciated. Contacting them, at any time of need, has been dealt with promptly and efficiently. I am so grateful for their kindness towards mum and their understanding towards me and the whole care situation.
Westmorland Agency (Wyre and Fylde) provided outstanding care to our dad over the course of a year. We, his children all live in the south of the country, at least five hours' journey time away. At first, carers mainly developed a relationship with dad, winning his trust and respect and notified us if they had any concerns. When he faced emergencies, they accompanied him to and stayed with him until one of us took over. As his care needs increased, so the care they provided changed and increased. In the last six weeks of his life, they provided outstanding end-of-life care as well. Our dad was lucky to be cared for by the Wyre and Fylde team at Westmorland. The team leaders, stood out in particular for their willingness to always go the extra mile for dad, staying with him into the night and overnight too. Thank you.

Meet the Team (2)
When I started my journey with Westmorland Homecare I was new to care and it was something I had never done before. However, I quickly settled into my role as an HCA and loved my day-to-day duties, loved seeing all my regular clients and helping them stay independent.
After 12 months of being with Westmorland, I was offered a Senior position and my favourite duty was mentoring and guiding new HCAs. I loved this opportunity because it is really rewarding and there’s nothing better than seeing their confidence grow just like mine did.
After 18 months I found out I had been shortlisted for an award at the Great British Care Awards for ‘Newcomer to care’! Needless to say, this was a huge surprise!
I am over the moon to have been promoted to Care manager leading our very special team.
I have always been passionate about Health and Social care since being in high school where I did my work placement in a Care Home looking after people with dementia. I loved the aspect of making a positive difference to people and always trying to enhance their lives, reflecting on this I then decided to go to college and study my Level 3 in Health & Social Care. During my education, I had the pleasure of completing a work placement at the hospital looking after the elderly and in a care home.
Post College I then completed 100 hours of work placement combined working as a student nurse at Clifton hospital giving rehabilitation to patients enabling them to safely get back to living at home and at the day surgery unit at Blackpool Victoria Hospital. Doing work placement and working in lots of different environments allowed me to work alongside lots of different people and gain lots of experience and confidence.
I have worked full time in a Care Home with Dementia residents and this opened my eyes to how much great, person-centred care can impact the individuals lives and their families too. It made me want to be the best carer I could be and give them the best quality of life. I then moved on to Domiciliary care and eventually found my way to Westmorland homecare as a carer. I have loved every minute of working for this company and loved building relationships with the clients and treating them as if they were my family.
I am now a Recruitment Coordinator for the company, and I want to do everything I can to recruit the best carers to ensure the clients are getting the best care possible, whilst ensuring the carers receive all the support they need. I look forward to chatting with you.
