Very impressed with the standard of care, Mum feels more secure and praises the friendly caring nature of the carers. I like the way she gets to see different carers each week as this helps keep her mind active.

The staff are very nice and helpful to my mum, who can be difficult to deal with. Nothing is too much trouble for the carers; washing, dressing, cleaning, feeding and hoovering.
I would strongly recommend anyone needing a carer to contact Right at Home.
The office are easy to discuss any issues with.

I'm glad I chose Right at Home to supply carers for my disabled 90-year-old mum.

We have been delighted by the service provided by the ‘lovely ladies’ from Right at Home. They are all so kind, caring, compassionate and professional. They provide my mother with daily support and it is good to know that she has a friendly face to talk to every morning. They help her with all sorts of things from taking her to pick up her prescriptions to helping her decorate her Christmas tree. She would be lost without them!

Absolutely brilliant. Since Mum has been receiving home care, our quality of life has improved incredibly. Not only is Mum gaining strength and confidence but as a family we are settled and feel secure that Mum is seeing someone every day and all her needs are being met. I recently went on holiday and for the first time, I wasn't constantly worried about whether Mum was ok. I felt relaxed being away knowing "her lovely girls" as Mum calls them were caring for her. I can't recommend you enough. It certainly has been a life changer for us.

Right at Home care has been the best we've had - having tried many local companies. They care for my (sometimes difficult) parents with positivity and patience. Their communication is excellent, and they work with me to resolve the inevitable problems that occur with old people and dementia. Some of their care staff are outstanding.

I have been very impressed with the care package that has been provided by Right at Home for my elderly mother. The company have been great to work with from the outset. They made the initial booking and setting up process as smooth as possible and were able to cater our package for my mum's specific needs. They have been really flexible and provided additional care when it has been needed, which was much appreciated. All the caregivers have been polite, friendly and professional and quickly established a positive working rapport with my mum. Mum feels extremely confident and comfortable in their care and has really benefited from the social interaction as well as the physical care provided by the team.

We are both extremely grateful for the care that is being provided by the company and I have no hesitation in recommending them to other people who are in need of care and support for elderly relatives.

Right at Home have been looking after my mum for nearly two years. When I needed to find carers, I was very worried about availability and would my mum 'take to them' as she was very particular and demanding. Right at Home responded very quickly, I had a care package in place in a few days. They also took time to understand her character and her wants as well as her needs. This resulted in my mum having carers she liked and who were also very competent. Since day 1, Right at Home have treated my mum with great care and compassion and have been very flexible and responsive to changes. I would definitely recommend the team at Right at Home.

Right at Home provided kind, caring and attentive care for my mother right up until her death in November 2022. In particular, her end-of-life care was exemplary. The team so obviously communicate regularly together which helps so much. None of us really want 'strangers' in our home performing essential personal care, but I do believe my mother was very grateful for everything they did and felt very loved. It was certainly a comfort for me as I live a 3-hour car journey away. I spoke to my mother most days, often 2 or times a day and I do not recall any 'issues' with a single member of the team. Thank you all very much.

Right at Home have been outstanding in helping to assist with a night carer for my mum. From start to finish, they've been attentive, professional and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble and everything was sorted out really quickly. Their follow-up service is wonderful, always checking if everything is OK or if there's anything that can be changed/amended. I wouldn't hesitate to use their services again in the future. Thank you Right at Home.

I contacted Right at Home for support for my mum who has early-stage Alzheimer's. I needed someone to be "me" as I was unable to visit her as often as I thought she needed. From my first conversation with Right at Home, I felt confident they were going to meet the needs of Mum and I. After meeting the assessor and one of the care providers, I knew we were going to be OK! They have met my expectations. Mum has said how she enjoys their visits and especially the company. This helps her to lead a more fulfilling life.

The Right at Home team assessed me with the support of my brother and a few minutes into the conversation I felt these were people I could trust to come into my home. I was recovering from cancer and the chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatment had left its mark. The side effects left me weak, unmotivated and very low in mood. I live alone and also have a long history of depression. When carers came to visit they always went along with the way I was feeling. Always showing me respect as an individual, they assisted me with housework, shopping, and gardening and kept me company. As time went on and I grew physically and mentally stronger, they took me out and about. Eventually, I felt well enough to go out for coffee and felt more confident getting back into some form of normality after a very challenging period in my life which began in September 2021.

They were lifesavers and I'll never forget how they boosted my self-esteem and helped me regain my confidence.

I couldn’t be more happy with the care my Mum receives from Right at Home. She is so much more herself since they took over her care. Since the pandemic, Mum has hardly left the house, but her carers have persuaded her to go out with them, and she loves it. Everyone who works for the company is so thoughtful, and I would recommend them without hesitation.

In a very difficult time with our nan, Right at Home went above and beyond from the start. Communication is amazing and we are always in the loop. They managed to fit us in at very short notice, even given the current climate with the lack of carers. All staff are so helpful, kind and friendly. We couldn’t have asked for more so thank you to all staff at the Dunmow branch.

We chose Right at Home after finding them on an internet search engine and then talking to them on the phone, such a personal feel and care for their clients and family were at the heart of what they do. We had the initial meeting with them to set up the care plan, this was done so well and all sensitive issues and questions were dealt with really well to ensure no one felt uncomfortable or under pressure, they were so kind.
We started the care and nothing seemed too much trouble and helping us and our family on how we wanted was their main priority, they went out of their way to ensure everyone was ok.
Sadly the care wasn't needed for very long as sadly my father passed away but would recommend them as the whole approach to the care and looking after the whole family was so good.

Thank you so much.

Right at Home have been caring for my cousin for the last few months after his previous care arrangements came to an end. I have been tremendously impressed with Right at Home from our very first contact with them. They moved quickly and efficiently to help us. My cousin is delighted with all the members of his care team and is amazed how much they manage to get done in their relatively short visits while still engaging with him personally. The management team is closely involved and take a very active role in my cousin's care and are proactively exploring various ways of helping him further. The word "holistic" is overused, but it really does describe the approach that the team take when providing care. What has also impressed us from the posts on their Facebook group is the evidence of the care that Right at Home take over their staff as well as their clients. The team are obviously cherished and supported and it shows in their attitude, their good humour, and all the smiles.

When it became obvious to my sister and I that mum was going to need help in the future in order to remain in her own home (we both live a two-hour drive away) we researched local providers and just talking to the Managing Director at Right at Home gave us confidence that when the time came his was the company to use. In the event, it was a year before mum needed help but over those months and the Managing Director kept in touch and so as soon we needed the support it was there. Mum was extremely reluctant to have “strangers” in her home but it was amazing how quickly those strangers became friends and they were wonderful with mum. As the months went on we had to adjust the number of calls and the time needed but nothing was too much trouble for the Manger and the team.

Sadly mum had a fall recently and now needs twenty-four-hour nursing care so we have moved her to a nursing home close to us but she definitely misses her lovely ladies who made the last few months at home so much easier for us all.

I have had many years of experience of being an unpaid family member/carer, for my mother, father and now for my brother who is very ill with cancer.
We had reached a crisis situation when I found Right at Home. Our position was, and still is, extremely difficult due to the ad hoc and sporadic nature of my brother's symptoms and needs.
My experience with other care providers has not been good. My very elderly mother, allocated four visits a day, could have one at 8 am, then 11 am and then none until 5 pm. It was totally unacceptable. The carer would rush in and out and barely had time to do anything of significance.

I am still incredulous at the high level of service provided by Right at Home office staff and carers. I am having to shorten this, as I have so much praise to impart. They have liaised with the hospice, GP etc. on our behalf, gone above and beyond in dreadful times of need for my brother and the carers are of the highest calibre.

From the initial call, the service from Right at Home was excellent. The managing director and manager were very professional and accommodating, and everything was clearly explained. The care my father received was excellent, no matter who the individual carers were, and he spoke very highly of them. Sadly, care was only required for a matter of weeks before he passed away, but they made his final days so much easier. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone requiring care.

I set up Right at Home Bishop's Stortford and Braintree in 2019. I chose the homecare sector because I knew there was so much potential to make a difference in people's lives. I was immediately hooked.

The Right at Home network stood out when doing my research about how to enter the sector: they were honest and value-driven. Over the years I have become a big advocate for the brand & it is inspirational to work with so many like-minded people. I am fully involved in the day-to-day running of the service and feel very lucky to be able to say I love doing what I do.

How we treat the vulnerable in society reflects on who we are. My grandfather experienced poor treatment and care after a dementia diagnosis - looking back I am shocked at what he went through. It is so pleasing to be able to make a small contribution to righting that wrong & to regularly hear what a difference we make to local, vulnerable people's lives.

The values of Right at Home Bishop’s Stortford & Braintree are trust, professionalism, kindness & excellence. We have a wonderful team, all committed to the ethos of the service. If you are looking for quality home care, please do give our friendly team a call - we'll be happy to help.

Rebecca Job Title: Care Coordinator Joined: 2022

I started Right at Home in November 2022. My previous jobs have been working in the animal care industry, working on a farm for 3 years completing my Diplomas alongside college. I’ve always wanted to work within a job that is rewarding and something to be proud of. That is why I made the decision to contact Right at Home and apply for the role of a Caregiver.

I’ve always had a special bond with my grandparents and with my grandad having dementia, I wanted to help people in similar situations and offer care like I did with my grandad.

After a short amount of time I started to help out in the office as a Coordinator and over the course of 2023 I have moved full time into that role. I love coming to the office and still get the chance to meet so many Clients on a regular basis so I have the best of both worlds!

Debra Job Title: Quality Controller Joined: 2022
Debra

My name is Debs and I have been working in care since 1999, covering all different aspects. I started off as a carer and worked my way up to working in the office as a Care Coordinator.

My career at Right at Home started in January 2022 and I have really enjoyed my time here. My current focus is on the compliance side of the service, making sure our lovely Clients are as safe and happy as possible. My typical day involves auditing Clients' medication records, providing quality control on care records, reviewing care plans with Clients, observing our team members delivering care to ensure standards are maintained and many other related things!

I have completed my level 2 & 3 NVQ and would like to continue to learn new things and use them in my daily duties.

I understand starting a new role can be daunting, I love talking to people, making them feel comfortable and at ease during this process.
