My very elderly father lives in sheltered accomodation in Great Dunmow and suffered the loss of his wife in 2025. I am his only son and live 50 miles away ; I also lost my own wife at the end of 2025. Right At Home have been an absolute Godsend - their efficiency, flexibility, breadth of service and genuine care for my father have given the highest satisfaction. Most importantly, their regular visits have made him happy during what has been a very difficult time for him. I genuinely cannot recommend them highly enough.

Mum needed care after her stroke in July 2023, I was so thankful to have found Right at Home, who provide consistent care at consistent times, which was so important to mum when she lost her independence. Felt very thankful to them as her daughter, as I knew there were carers who could provide the support and care she needed. The carers often went above and beyond for mum particularly when things got really tough for her. She would often looked forward to their visits. I would highly recommend Right at Home BS if you are looking for care for a loved one.

Right at home have looked after my Dad with great care and affection.
At a difficult time, they were extremely helpful and put in the extra hours of care, with such short notice.
The staff are all very kind and professional towards the care of my Dad, he says he is very happy with all of them and enjoys their company.
The staff have never let us down and are always helpful if there is a problem.
Thank you all so much, we couldn't have managed without your incredible help and genuine care.

Thank you

So glad we switched to Right at Home. Their communications with us, other care professionals and each other are excellent. Every member of staff that I have spoken to has been considerate and kind. They are always happy to answer my questions or to take the initiative when information needs to be shared between organisations. This has enabled everyone to adapt quickly and efficiently to the changes in Mum's condition. They treat Mum with care and respect and have been proactive with suggestions to help with her comfort and needs as her dementia progresses. The carers are always punctual and it is lovely to read in their notes that Mum has laughed or chatted with them on her better days. I would definitely recommend Right at Home to anyone who is looking for care of a loved one. Many thanks to everyone at Right at Home.

Right At Home provided excellent care for my father in law allowing his wish to die at home to be fulfilled. Throughout the months he was cared for the staff were kind and thoughtful, and supported the family throughout. During his last days he was cared for with great compassion and expertise, ensuring he was able to pass peacefully. Knowing that he could have not received better care has been a great comfort to all the family.

I needed to set up home care for an elderly neighbour before being discharged from hospital.
It was essential to research and find a good, reliable and professional agency.
And WOW! Have we chosen well!
I called Right At Home on a Friday afternoon, the care manager visited and assessed her in hospital on Monday and care commenced on Tuesday. She was then able to be discharged home same day.
The care is exceptional. Manager listens and acts on any concerns and implements changes to care plan when needed.
The careers always arrive promptly with a smile and often a hug, nothing too much trouble.
The on line access to the rota is so helpful and allows us to see who and what time the carers are coming in.
After every visit, I am able to read the audit written by the carer.
The visits enable her to continue living at home independently with support! She loves the girls. As well as the physical care, the chats and laughter are a tonic! Better than any medicine!

Well done ALL at Right At Home

I contacted this company because it was local as I needed help at home following major surgery. The package was set up really quickly. I was visited by a member of staff to see what I actually required and to assess the suitability of my home for their staff/carers. I had daily help for 17 days and found everyone to be friendly, caring and willing to do both personal care and household tasks. This made me more independent and able to cope when they left. I looked forward to their visits, and laughter being a good medicine too!

From the moment we first met with the manager of Right at Home we knew we had chosen well and that Dad would be in safe and caring hands. All of the caregivers were always so helpful, polite, and friendly. After only the first few visits we felt very comfortable with the carers being in the home and we could not have imagined coping without them. Every visit often began and ended with a smile and/or a hug and encouraging kind words. They would chat with my Dad and there was plenty of laughter. Nothing was ever too much trouble. All the staff, including the manager, went above and beyond on many occasions, including making special trips out when it was necessary. None of us expected my Dad's palliative care to be as short as it was. However, the care he received was excellent and we as a family are so grateful for the incredible support we received both during those difficult last days and also since Dad passed away.

I would totally recommend Right at Home without any hesitation.

At last I have found the right care agency for my dear Mum! I can honestly say that Right at Home have changed my and Mums lives for the better. We had tried several other agencies but they did not compare to the excellent care mum is now receiving. Right at home are genuinely caring and very professional. Mum now welcomes the carers into her home whereas before with her Alzheimer's she didn't want to open the door! It's clear to see why Mum is now so much more stable and happy. The carers speak to her with respect and her every need is met. The care team always go that extra mile to ensure Mum is safe and comfortable. From my experience Right at Home carers provide the quality of care you usually only find from nursing care. Online client access to the roster and carer comments for each visit is invaluable. It's very reassuring to see how Mum is feeling and means any issues can be immediately addressed. Thanks also to the management and co-ordinators. Your carers are a credit to you!

I set up Right at Home Bishop's Stortford and Braintree in 2019. I chose the homecare sector because I knew there was so much potential to make a difference in people's lives. I was immediately hooked.

The Right at Home network stood out when doing my research about how to enter the sector: they were honest and value-driven. Over the years I have become a big advocate for the brand & it is inspirational to work with so many like-minded people. I am fully involved in the day-to-day running of the service and feel very lucky to be able to say I love doing what I do.

How we treat the vulnerable in society reflects on who we are. My grandfather experienced poor treatment and care after a dementia diagnosis - looking back I am shocked at what he went through. It is so pleasing to be able to make a small contribution to righting that wrong & to regularly hear what a difference we make to local, vulnerable people's lives.

The values of Right at Home Bishop’s Stortford & Braintree are trust, professionalism, kindness & excellence. We have a wonderful team, all committed to the ethos of the service. If you are looking for quality home care, please do give our friendly team a call - we'll be happy to help.

Rebecca Job Title: Care Coordinator Joined: 2022
Rebecca

I started Right at Home in November 2022. My previous jobs have been working in the animal care industry, working on a farm for 3 years completing my Diplomas alongside college. I’ve always wanted to work within a job that is rewarding and something to be proud of. That is why I made the decision to contact Right at Home and apply for the role of a Caregiver.

I’ve always had a special bond with my grandparents and with my grandad having dementia, I wanted to help people in similar situations and offer care like I did with my grandad.

After a short amount of time I started to help out in the office as a Coordinator and over the course of 2023 I have moved full time into that role. I love coming to the office and still get the chance to meet so many Clients on a regular basis so I have the best of both worlds!

Debra Job Title: Quality Controller Joined: 2022
Debra

My name is Debs and I have been working in care since 1999, covering all different aspects. I started off as a carer and worked my way up to working in the office as a Care Coordinator.

My career at Right at Home started in January 2022 and I have really enjoyed my time here. My current focus is on the compliance side of the service, making sure our lovely Clients are as safe and happy as possible. My typical day involves auditing Clients' medication records, providing quality control on care records, reviewing care plans with Clients, observing our team members delivering care to ensure standards are maintained and many other related things!

I have completed my level 2 & 3 NVQ and would like to continue to learn new things and use them in my daily duties.

Tanya Job Title: Recruiter Joined: 2022

I joined Right at Home Bishop’s Stortford and Braintree in August 2022 as a Care Recruiter.

My role is sourcing, interviewing, and taking our fantastic candidates through the initial onboarding process so they can become a CareGiver in the community.

I understand starting a new role can be daunting, I love talking to people, making them feel comfortable and at ease during this process.

Please get in touch if you have any questions about becoming a CareGiver.
