Job Title: Managing Director

Joined: 2019

I set up Right at Home Bishop's Stortford and Braintree in 2019. I chose the homecare sector because I knew there was so much potential to make a difference in people's lives. I was immediately hooked.


The Right at Home network stood out when doing my research about how to enter the sector: they were honest and value-driven. Over the years I have become a big advocate for the brand & it is inspirational to work with so many like-minded people. I am fully involved in the day-to-day running of the service and feel very lucky to be able to say I love doing what I do.


How we treat the vulnerable in society reflects on who we are. My grandfather experienced poor treatment and care after a dementia diagnosis - looking back I am shocked at what he went through. It is so pleasing to be able to make a small contribution to righting that wrong & to regularly hear what a difference we make to local, vulnerable people's lives.

I am Liza and I am the Registered Manager here at Right at Home Bishop’s Stortford & Braintree.


I am truly committed to my role & I am passionate about providing the best support to all of our clients & their families. It is important that our care packages are tailored to the individual. This means I spend time understanding our clients' personalities and quirks, as well as understanding their health and support needs. I often find myself having a really good giggle with our clients!


To achieve the level of excellence that we aspire to, I make sure our staff are well-trained, happy and confident.


I have experience as a CareGiver - I started my health and social care career 10 years ago and I worked my way up to Care Coordinator and then Registered Manager. I have seen it all & love passing on my knowledge and experience to the team. Over the years I have completed my Health & Social Care Level 5, as well as various other related qualifications in areas such as Dementia, Moving & Positioning, Stoma & Catheter Care.

I started Right at Home in November 2022. My previous jobs have been working in the animal care industry, working on a farm for 3 years completing my Diplomas alongside college. I’ve always wanted to work within a job that is rewarding and something to be proud of. That is why I made the decision to contact Right at Home and apply for the role of a Caregiver.


I’ve always had a special bond with my grandparents and with my grandad having dementia, I wanted to help people in similar situations and offer care like I did with my grandad.


After a short amount of time I started to help out in the office as a Coordinator and over the course of 2023 I have moved full time into that role. I love coming to the office and still get the chance to meet so many Clients on a regular basis so I have the best of both worlds!

My name is Debs and I have been working in care since 1999, covering all different aspects. I started off as a carer and worked my way up to working in the office as a Care Coordinator.


My career at Right at Home started in January 2022 and I have really enjoyed my time here. My current focus is on the compliance side of the service, making sure our lovely Clients are as safe and happy as possible. My typical day involves auditing Clients' medication records, providing quality control on care records, reviewing care plans with Clients, observing our team members delivering care to ensure standards are maintained and many other related things!


I have completed my level 2 & 3 NVQ and would like to continue to learn new things and use them in my daily duties.
