Calida Care

Calida Care helped my Mum during recovery from a hip replacement. Absolutely excellent experience from start to finish, I would highly recommend them to anybody needing short term or longer term care. Thanks very much to all the team.

Calida Care has been providing live-in care for my mother since February and I couldn't be happier with them. Mum has dementia and is getting progressively more confused, disoriented and anxious but the primary carer assigned to her is wonderful. She is calm, caring, patient and very experienced with dementia care. Dementia is a very distressing illness but it is comforting to know Mum is being looked after so well.

We are both delighted to have Calida working with us.

I would not consider anyone other than Caldia, they do everything and much more. My husband and I cannot possibly without be them.

Calida Care has been phoning me each morning for over two years to make sure that I am up and about and well. They are always cheerful and friendly and we always exchange news and chat for a while. They have also collected prescription and shopped for me when I was unwell. On one occasion I had to visit A&E and they took me and made sure I had something to eat and drink on my long wait and saw me safely home. It is very reassuring for me at 84 and live alone with no near family to know that they are only a phone call away if I need them. A friendly and reliable team.

As none of the family live nearby, it is a great comfort to have such excellent care, support and responsiveness. We are truly grateful for the positive impact the whole team has had on my cousin's wellbeing.

The team at Calida had looked after my sister for many years. My sister really apprecaited what they did for her and I likewise. My sister looked forward to seeing her carers and they were wonderfully helpful in all that they did for her. I started using Calida Care in February after an initial call round to other companies (3 in total). Before we had even decided who we were using for my Father, it was clear that Calida Care, just by one phone call were going to be the ones to use. Whether it be the Office Team or any of the Carers, nothing is too much trouble. Whoever it is always keeps my Father involved in the conversation. He is not talked over or dismissed. Admittedly the carers only go in every evening, but he is more than happy to see them, and I can be there also. I think that Calida Care do go that extra mile, I cannot recommend them highly enough!

We have used Calida since February 2023, firstly for both parents and since December 2025 for just Mum, as sadly my Dad passed away with dementia. The team made Dad's last months as comfortable as possible, and filled his time with smiles, laughter and love. For that Mum and I are truly grateful. The team, including the most amazing live in carer, currently look after Mum who is bed-bound, and lost her speech, continence, and the use of her right side due to a severe stroke. The team's attention to her comfort and wellbeing are superb. They are all such joyful people who go the extra mile to make Mum laugh, and can often be seen singing and dancing around her bed once care has been completed. Mum loves all of them and they definitely brighten her day. The management team are incredible and pay great attention to the details of Mum's care. No request is ever too much for them. We have used two other care agencies in the past and Calida are the best by a very long way.

My mum, dad and myself have received nothing but kindness and support. In March my dear dad died and they have been my rock. Without them I would have crumbled.

The team at Calida Care have always been so kind and caring to both mum, as well my sister and I who live abroad. After dad died in 2023, we decided to use the services of this company to give both mum and ourselves, pieces of mind. After speaking with various companies, we chose them due to the wide variety of tailor made care packages offered and the good feeling that they gave us right from the first meeting.Although our mother was against the idea at first, she has come to trust the caring team and know that she can always call on them, as and when she ever needs to. I can't thank them enough for being there!

Overall calida care are an amazing company. They are always able to help, no matter what the problem is.

My brother has two live-in carers 24/7. The team for February have been excellent in all aspect of their duties. Interaction with community palliative care and GP/Pharmacy have been professional and their daily reports keep me fully apprised of my brother's situation. Assistance to other services, barber and foot clinicians have been very helpful.

I contacted Calida when looking for an emergency response service for my elderly parents. The contract was set up easily and efficiently and when we needed them, Calida responded quickly and professionally. When we included regular visits, the two carers were lovely, kind, caring and really engaged with Dad. We now have a wonderful live in carer. Both my parents are relaxed and stress free. Even when there have been problems with Dad, knowing the carer is there to help and support my parents is such as relief. The carer is assisted at all times by Calida and has their full support when dealing with some of the more difficult behaviours that occur with dementia patients. Calida's management team have been brilliant too. Even when we don't really know what we need they can interpret our requirements and provide exactly the right solution. It means a lot to be able to trust and rely on them. Calida deliver a first rate service and I would highly recommend them.

Calida Care have been looking after my elderly dad since August 2024 when he returned home from a spell in hospital. They visit twice a day to get him up and showered in the morning, and then in the evening to get him ready for bed. Dad's mobility is poor. The carers have been wonderful with him, always friendly, caring and professional. They always ask if he needs anything, nothing is too much trouble. In addition, the office have kept me informed, especially if they have any concerns. Dad is sadly deteriorating and the support I have had from Calida Care has been exceptional. I could not have wished for more. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending them.
