They provide domiciliary (visiting) homecare in and around Basingstoke & Deane and 24 hour, Live-in Care throughout the South East, including Guildford, Winchester, Chichester, Bournemouth & Salisbury.

Calida Care knows that one size does not fit all and whether support is needed for a few hours each day at specific times, or around the clock, they can help. Services include companionship & home help, personal care, support with morning & evening routines, meal preparation and shopping. Calida Care also provides live-in care, suitable for those who need more comprehensive support to manage ill health, frailty or dementia. They work closely with the client and focus on what can be done to achieve positive outcomes, while allowing the individuals' needs, wishes and preferences to shape the service provided.

The ladies who came and sat with my mother while I took a break were very kind and helpful. I am very grateful for the service provided which means I do not have to worry about leaving my mother on her own.

Calida Care has provided an excellent service in looking after my husband for just over a year now. Right from the beginning, l have found it a well-managed company and always ready to help out when extra care has been needed at a moment's notice.
He has dementia and, having suffered a stroke, is now
unable to walk, speak or read and is fed via a PEG as his swallow is poor.
His care is complicated; medicine is time sensitive and he must be sitting up for 1 hour either side of a feed, so it’s essential that his care is reliable regarding the timing of the many calls he has daily.
In spite of all his disabilities, the carers find a way to communicate and engage with him, their patience and kindness being rewarded with one of his lovely smiles and sometimes a wink and that means so much to me. We really couldn’t manage without them and it’s a delight to have them in our home.

We have been with Calida Care for a number of years for our mother and the experience has been nothing short of exceptional. Our full time carer is the kindest, most patient, caring and wonderful human being. She has taken the time to develop a close and caring relationship with our mother and is responsive
to all her needs. When she goes on break, Calida takes care to find someone equally kind and capable. The management at Calida is extremely experienced and professional and we highly recommend. As I live abroad, it is a huge relief to know my mother is in the most capable hands.

From the outset, the head of care and her team at Calida have been truly amazing! The carers provided were second to none, so respectful of my mother’s wishes and gave her a quality of life not many of her age would ever receive! She was 101 at her death earlier this year! If there was ever a problem,
the head of care had it sorted in no time. I can’t thank Calida enough for making my mother’s final years such happy ones in the house she lived in and loved for 95 of her 101 years!

We have had a fantastic experience with Calida Care. The quality of the carers they provide is excellent and the care manager is extremely knowledgeable and committed to providing an excellent service. Care is always taken to make sure everything is done as it should be and where there have been issues,

I have had carers for several months now and have been very impressed with their work. One carer helped with my husband who was very ill and passed away in 2022. I have a carer for myself now. She is totally reliable and helps me with personal care, household duties meals and shopping. Nothing is too
much trouble and she is friendly towards visitors and family.

My mother-in-law receives Calida Care twice a day seven days per week. All the carers are amazing and address her needs perfectly. My mother-in-law feels completely at ease with everyone and they are all completely trustworthy, treat her with respect and will deal with any requests she might have. I

Our experience of Calida Care has been most positive, from our initial contact with the office and throughout the period that they provided care for our mother they acted very responsively with compassion, professionalism and great sensitivity.
The registered manager who assessed our mother's palliative
care needs was not only highly knowledgable but also managed to reassure us all and most importantly Mum that their carers had the skills, experience and training to meet all of the assessed needs.
My mother's Calida carer surpassed all of our expectations, devoting herself to our mother's care and ensuring that her final weeks were comfortable and that her passing was dignified and above all not alone.

We started with Calida Care in March 2020 and as a family, we would 100% recommend them to anyone looking for live-in care. From day one the service provided has been excellent in every way. The carers that have provided have been caring, kind, experienced and respectful towards our mum and our family
home and our mum has made huge improvements since being cared for by Calida Care carers. We have been confident in putting our trust in both carers that have been provided, they are part of the family! The service has been excellently managed throughout. We are kept fully updated and informed, and communicated regularly with (as son and daughter) regarding our mum's care. We have experience of using another care agency which came nowhere near the service levels we now receive as a family. Furthermore, our stress levels regarding the care for our mum have dramatically reduced since working with Calida Care - we have no hesitation in recommending Calida Care.

For the past 12 months, my dad has been provided with care in his own home by Calida. The agency manager and carers ensure that my Dad receives high-quality personalised care that always respects his dignity. The attention to detail in adhering to all aspects of the care plan is second to none. The
carers are also very proactive in his care and will use their initiative and seek advice when needed, for example from the pharmacy or district nurse. He has advanced dementia so to know I have such committed professionals looking after him is an enormous weight off my mind. When I visit his home I always find my dad relaxed and well-groomed, there is usually the aroma of delicious home-cooked food and his favourite 1950s music is playing in the background. I genuinely cannot praise the Calida carers enough for their commitment and I have no hesitation in recommending the services of Calida.

When I had to find a live-in carer at very short notice for my Mother, Calida Care, responded immediately, and selected a carer who moved in within a few days. The carer was exceptionally kind and generous to my Mother, to myself and to my wife. My Mother liked her immediately, within days the two of
them were getting on famously and she provided excellent care for my Mother. We trusted her from the outset and we could not have asked for anyone better. Calida Care's manager kept in touch with us regularly and the whole Calida Care experience was relaxed, professional and obviously driven by caring. When my mother was taken ill, the carer was with her and when we arrived, it felt as though she was a family member too. I would recommend Calida Care to anyone who needs a carer for their loved one, it was a pleasure to deal with them in all aspects.

I joined Calida Care in January 2022. I had been working alongside their team for a number of years in a consultancy role and decided I wanted to become a permanent fixture within this wonderful company. I began my social care career in in 1999 when I joined one of the first ever domiciliary care providers in the country. Having worked in a nursing home prior to this I was immediately converted to the benefits of caring for people in the comfort of their own homes. Calida Care fully brings to life the concept of 'there's no place like home' and I truly believe there is no better company to care for you or your loved ones in their own, familiar surroundings.


In my spare time, my 10 year old son, Sebastian keeps me busy. We enjoy Formula 1 Motor Racing, going to the theatre and walks with our Jack Russell/Chihuahua cross, which is a bundle of fun and mischief!

I have worked in Social Care for more than 40 years and attained my professional social work qualification in 1988. My early experience was gained in the public sector prior to setting up my first care business in 2001.
I have always been passionate about the delivery of high quality home based care services that recognise the individuality of each and every recipient of our care.
With my wife Jane, who's also a fellow director, in forming Calida Care we wanted to bring together some of the most accomplished senior staff in our field who shared our passion, values, high standards and expectations. We wanted to create and develop a care company that championed excellent care practices whilst respecting and celebrating the uniqueness of each of our customers.
We sincerely believe that we are achieving this whilst continuously striving to further improve.

Away from work our interests mostly revolve around our family and friends and in particular, our own children who's ages span some 28 years, ranging from just 5 to 33!
We also enjoy travelling.
