I cannot fault the excellent level of care provided to my father and the patience and support given to my mother and I by the care professional team, as we got used to the changes in my father's health.
The notes made by the carers and available to read on the app provide useful information about my father from every visit, which is invaluable as I live a long way from my parents.
The office team are extremely responsive in dealing with queries and requests. It cannot be underestimated how important this is in reducing the levels of stress and anxiety that are related to having a parent with failing health.
I cannot recommend the team highly enough.
Thank you so much for your kind words. I'm so pleased that we were able to make a very difficult time a little bit easier for your family.
Unfortunately, the time has come for Mum to receive 24-hour care in a care home, but Mum and the family wish to say a big thank you to all at Home Instead who looked after her.
Thank you for your kind words. It was a pleasure to look after your mum. I hope she enjoys her new home
Mum is visited by the same 3 ladies on a rota. Mum has dementia and has found it hard to socialise, not with her carers she enjoys their visits and is totally relaxed with them.
The ladies are kind and chat with her, they have come to know her and how she likes things done. The ladies assist with housework, which has taken that burden from me so I can spend more time with Mum.
I think that I can say with honesty that engaging home instead was the best decision I made for both Mum and myself. The ladies who visit treat Mum with respect and take time to sit with her and talk to her.
Thank you so much for your kind words. It has been a pleasure to support your mum and see the lovely relationship grow with her team.
We have been so impressed with the level of care provided; all skin sores have been identified, treated and healed with tender care. In addition to a high level of personal care, the carers have formed professional, caring, friendly relationships with my dad. They are friends as well as being carers. Issues have been identified early and attended to. Recently, carers have gone beyond normal service, providing additional care and shifts during my dad’s recent illness.
Everyone in management and admin is also caring and effective. They really do everything they can to help and take away the stress! It was the Coordinator who asked if additional shifts would help when my father was ill recently. I couldn’t have managed without the extra care!
I can’t recommend Home Instead highly enough. I am so thankful for every one of the staff who provides this exceptional service.
Thank you so much for your kind words. It's been a pleasure to get to know your dad over the last few months. The team have really enjoyed their visits with him.
I have been extremely impressed with Home Instead and their Beverley team. From the moment I first picked up the phone to enquire about the services offered - everyone we have dealt with has been professional, helpful, supportive and kind. I don't think it was easy for my mum and dad to accept they needed some help- but Home Instead made them feel comfortable from the start and it is now difficult to imagine their lives without a daily visit. I live some distance away - and it is very reassuring to know that Home Instead are visiting on a regular basis. The Beverley Home Instead team have made a big difference to our lives.
Thank you so much for your review. The whole team work very hard to make getting the care you need as easy as possible and it's lovely to see that it's worked so well for you and your parents. It's been a pleasure to get to know them
My husband who has dementia has had a companion from Home Instead for nearly two years. He was badly affected by lockdown and had totally withdrawn into himself and his speech is limited. Their approach was excellent, great care taken to discreetly but thoroughly assess his needs so an appropriate match of companion could be made. The improvement in him was a pleasure to witness. This was due to the time and trouble the carer took to learn about him and his condition and develop the best approach and care. I am delighted that she is mentoring new carers and passing on her excellent skills.
Thank you so much for your kind words. It's been a pleasure to support your family.
Moving the responsibility of my Mums care to this agency has been transformative for me. I live 200 miles away and my brother who lives locally, works a full time shift pattern so we need an agency that can be relied upon to do what we’ve asked for, be 100% reliable, punctual and communicative as well as providing professional, kind hearted, lovely carers. Home Instead Beverley & Hull does all of the above. The carers go above and beyond for Mum and the office when I need to contact them about anything such as attending appointments with Mum or any minor changes are responsive and helpful. All in all, I wish I’d changed to this agency years ago, it would’ve saved me a lot of grief!
Thank you so much for your kind words. I'm so pleased we've been able to meet Mum's needs and help you and your brother rest a bit easier. Thank you for choosing us!
They are always on time and I am always pleased to see them. They are cheerful and I always feel so much better for their visit.
Thank you for your lovely review. The team look forward to coming to see you as well!
All staff, from the office to the carers, are very friendly and helpful, very patient, kind and courteous. My parents have both had continually very good experiences, with all the carers that call on them both morning and evening, which makes a massive difference to their quality of life at home.
It's a pleasure to support your parents. Thank you for your kind words
We have recently changed care providers for my mum as we felt that we needed better support from the management side of the company. This has already proved to be a beneficial change. Mum was slightly reluctant to change at first but is now forging a comfortable relationship with her assigned carer. Mum is determined to stay as independent as possible and it is hard for her to accept help. Her carer is sensitive to this. Mum doesn’t need personal care just yet but a bit of housework and company is just right for now. It also acts as ‘eyes’ and ‘ears’ for my brother and I who don’t live locally to Mum. It is reassuring to know that we would soon find out if there was a problem but is also a 2-way communication process and I feel secure in contacting Home Instead if there is anything to report regarding Mum, confident in the knowledge that I am being listened to. The app is a brilliant way to monitor the visits made by the carer and is proving incredibly useful.
I'm so glad to hear that things are working out as you had hoped. It's been a pleasure for the team to get to know your mum.
The manager has carefully selected an ideal carer for my wife bearing in mind her needs and mental health. The carer is very obliging and helpful and has a quiet and calm manner and has affected a very positive relationship with my wife. She is very sensitive to my wife's needs. At present providing the personal support and personal care required. Carries out additional domestic tasks very efficiently.
It's lovely to read your comments, I'm so pleased that your wife is benefitting from and enjoying her visits.
Home Instead was recommended to me by a friend who had also used the service and we have not been disappointed. The care is multifaceted. Our care provider treats Mum with the utmost dignity and respect. In addition, my father has bonded well with our carer and together they have forged a mutual respect for one another sharing stories and memories. This has been such a relief for me as acknowledging and accepting the need to bring carers into their home has not been an easy decision for Dad. Our carer as well as providing personal care for Mum has had the natural aptitude to break down barriers with Dad. Social interaction is such an important part of care and our carer as well as getting Mum up, washed and dressed in the morning has taken the time to interact with Mum and Dad as a couple. Ultimately our carer is the cohesion in caring for Mum at home and we as a family value her professionalism and the contact she brings with the outside world. Mum 83 with Dementia, Dad 91.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience. It has been a pleasure to get to know your parents.
After a long stay in hospital we felt that Dad required more help than we could provide as three daughters living in different parts of the country. From the initial assessment of Dad's needs to the carers starting, the process was personal, empathetic and efficient. The carers encourage Dad to maintain as much independence as possible while being there to support and assist with whatever is required. No task is too much, they are always cheerful chatty and very respectful.
A very professional approach is carried out with compassion and empathy when families are most in need by the office staff. The care and attention of all the carers who look after my mother is carried out with genuine dedication and make her happy and content. The support and reassurance they bring to our home are extremely valuable.
It was a pleasure to support your mum at such a difficult time. Thank you for trusting us with her care.
Home Instead have provided an absolutely outstanding service from Jenni coming to meet me and my Father to the speedy responses if there’s a query and the app is so useful. All the carers have been exceptional and both my parents really like all of them. Cannot rate them highly enough.
Thank you so much for your review. We are so pleased that your parents have been happy with their visits. It's been a pleasure to look after them.
We are so pleased with the service provided by Home Instead and especially the assigned caregiver. Every member of staff has been extremely easy to work with, friendly as well as being extraordinarily discreet and sensitive. To have my mother-in-law treated as someone who just needs help in certain areas and companionship in others is a delicate balancing act that Home Instead have perfected. It's been a win-win all round. Thank you!
Thank you so much for your kind words. We have shared this with all the team involved. They have very much enjoyed getting to know your mother-in-law.
To date, our Mum has been very resistant to any form of home visit, care or help from any outside service, and it took a lot of persuasion to get her to agree to have an initial meeting with Home Instead, and we are so glad she did. From the minute the manager arrived at Mum's she put Mum at ease and explained everything clearly and fully, and it was agreed that initially, two visits a week would be a good starting point. The carer was carefully chosen by Home instead to match Mum's personal needs, interests, and age, and from the first visit a great rapport has already developed between Mum and the carer. Which is wonderful given Mum's reluctance to accept any outside help. Feedback from each visit via the App is both helpful and most welcome. I would recommend Home Instead to anyone looking for quality, professional and compassionate home care.
We are so pleased that things are working out so well. It has been a pleasure to help you both.
We are always made aware of any changes and are able to check visits on the app almost in real-time.
I would recommend Home Instead to anyone looking for high-quality care.
Thank you so much for your review. It has been a pleasure to look after your dad.
Professional, caring and flexible.
The manager conducted a thorough home assessment, and one gentleman provides person-centred support to my uncle.
Very grateful; makes a huge difference to a fragile and vulnerable situation.
Thank you.
Thank you so much for your kind words. The team have really enjoyed looking after your uncle.
Home Instead Beverley & Hull have been helping my father for several months now and we are delighted with the service they provide. He lives alone and very much looks forward to seeing his carers every day and appreciates the meals they assist with and the cheerful and kind company too. He plays cards and sometimes goes for a walk and recently has had help with showering. Extremely reliable and attentive - we are very grateful for Home Instead.
Thank you for your kind words. The team have really enjoyed getting to know your Dad and supporting his independence.

Meet the Team (3)
Hi, I’m Mandy, the Managing Director of Home Instead in the Beverley & Hull area. I was born and raised in the U.S., then married a Yorkshireman so have lived in the UK since 2005. After many years of working in the financial services sector, I was very eager to find a way to do something that would benefit my community. I feel privileged to have the opportunity to bring the outstanding standard of care provided by Home Instead to our area. I love the values of the company and the positive effect we can have on the lives of our clients and their families.
I will use my years of experience in project management, human resources and training to establish an incredible team of compassionate individuals who want to hit the ground running and provide the care we would expect for our own families. We take our time on calls to make sure that as well as providing much-needed assistance, we can also spend quality time building trusting relationships with our clients, so that we can help them to continue to live their life in the way they want, regardless of their age.
Emma joined us back in 2019 as one of our very first Care Professinals. Since then, she has worked her way through several office roles and is now our Registered Manager
After 10 years of working in the pharmaceutical company, I made the big decision to have a complete change of career, enter Home Instead! I am thoroughly enjoying my new role. It is wonderful to work for a company whose ethics are clearly seen from how they engage with their staff to the care they provide to our clients, even to have a small role in that is extremely satisfying. I love spending time with my own grandparents and appreciate the special part they play in family life. This encourages me in my work, because I know I am supporting a service that looks after our clients the same way we would look after our own loved ones.
