Mum has dementia which has got gradually worse since Dad passed away. As myself and my sister work fulltime, we needed initially someone to come in and check on Mum in a morning to make sure she was dressed, had breakfast and taken medication. Mum was reluctant at first but has very quickly got used to her caregivers and looks forward to seeing them. The mobile app works well and informs us what Mum has been up to and if any foods are running low. Mum particularly enjoyed recently making pancakes with her caregiver. The system works well because you can gradually tailor the care package to suit your individual needs.

My Dad has dementia and needed someone to help out, especially now due to the pandemic!
Care team seem very professional, helpful and obviously kind and caring.
My dad's cleaning company would not come due to coronavirus! So now his carer is helping, keep his home clean and tidy too.

Very pleased.

Mum was against having any kind of care but has Dementia and lives 2 hours away from me. Home Instead have been gentle, listened to my Mum's wishes, liaised with me and tailored her package of care to meet her needs, and I feel reassured that this is flexible enough to change as her needs increase. Mum has quickly made a lovely relationship with her carer and her eyes light up when she arrives. Her carer has gone above and beyond her duties and Mum feels really cared about and as if she is part of the family. Her carer is professional and really well trained and I feel relieved that my Mum is well looked after when I can not be there.

Mum and Dad are 88 and 90. Mum has dementia and Dad has difficulty with mobility. We have caregivers daily for an hour and a half (in the mornings). We have 2 carers sharing the week.
Both carers are very caring and work hard not only to help Mum and Dad but to build a relationship and help them to feel comfortable with strangers coming into their home. As a result, Mum and Dad have settled well into the routine. The care they provide is consistent, caring and they always arrive on time and complete the hours.
I am very happy to leave them to take care of my parents.

The Manager is kind and caring and quick to answer any queries and action where necessary.

Hi, I’m Mandy, the Managing Director of Home Instead in the Beverley & Hull area. I was born and raised in the U.S., then married a Yorkshireman so have lived in the UK since 2005. After many years of working in the financial services sector, I was very eager to find a way to do something that would benefit my community. I feel privileged to have the opportunity to bring the outstanding standard of care provided by Home Instead to our area. I love the values of the company and the positive effect we can have on the lives of our clients and their families.

I will use my years of experience in project management, human resources and training to establish an incredible team of compassionate individuals who want to hit the ground running and provide the care we would expect for our own families. We take our time on calls to make sure that as well as providing much-needed assistance, we can also spend quality time building trusting relationships with our clients, so that we can help them to continue to live their life in the way they want, regardless of their age.

Hi, I’m Caroline. I was born and raised in Beverley. I have a love of animals and I enjoy reading and baking (although I am not up to Bake Off standard!), but I often try out new recipes on my friends and family.

After 10 years of working in the pharmaceutical company, I made the big decision to have a complete change of career, enter Home Instead! I am thoroughly enjoying my new role. It is wonderful to work for a company whose ethics are clearly seen from how they engage with their staff to the care they provide to our clients, even to have a small role in that is extremely satisfying. I love spending time with my own grandparents and appreciate the special part they play in family life. This encourages me in my work, because I know I am supporting a service that looks after our clients the same way we would look after our own loved ones.
