My parents' carer has been very reassuring. She is kind, flexible and very competent. My mother has been quite intolerant of her carers in the past, but she is very appreciative of her new Right at Home carers.

Right at Home were able to start caring for my parents very quickly once we realised carer visits were a necessity. The professionalism shown during setting up the care has carried forward into the care and service given by the carers who see my parents every day and also with the management side.
All
the team have made what was and is a stressful time so much easier for all the family, but especially for my parents who are really so pleased and grateful for the carers who visit them daily.
Also, due to a sudden hospital stay for one of my parents, Right at Home was able to give extra care immediately, again easing the pressure and worry for all concerned.
I have no hesitation at all in recommending Right at Home for anybody who needs care at home.

We needed additional carers to visit my father in the evenings and Right at Home were able to set up a package at very short notice. The need was mainly for companionship and the carers were very friendly and my father enjoyed the conversations he had with them. Unfortunately, my father was admitted
to hospital after only a few visits and passed away soon afterwards but we will always be grateful for the support which Right at Home gave him.

Right at Home were fantastic and helped us when we didn't know what else to do. They were extremely quick and professional - managing to fit in the assessment visit within days. The carers were so kind and good with my mum especially as it was her first experience using carers. Right at Home listened
to our needs and were able to help at times that suited my mum. I would like to say a big thank you for all their help and support.

When both my mother was ill and my father had an operation I turned to Right at Home to help look after both of them. The staff understood the needs of both my parents and it was adjusted as their health improved. Sadly, my mother passed away but the staff have continued to care for my father and offer
support to me at what has been a very difficult time. The staff are always kind and caring and take the time to talk and listen to my father. I would recommend Right at Home for care.

I have no hesitation in writing a review for all the Staff at Right at Home. From the first meeting with the Managing Director, we felt confident that we were being listened to and that anything that could be done to help would be. The whole team have provided excellent care for my parents over the
past few months. They treated my Mum and Dad with dignity at all times and always came into their home with a smile and time to spend meeting all their needs.

The attention to detail including the assessment for my dad was very thorough, the support offered met his needs. Our Caregiver offered to do whatever tasks needed doing, helping both my dad and in the home. Taking him for a short walk to encourage mobility and socialisation was a success. A positive
first experience in having care in the home.

It gives me great pleasure writing this review. Right at Home were contacted by CHC regarding supporting my husband who, due to MND, needed increased care at home. The staff were exceptional. My husband had many challenging issues both physically and mentally. They were able to meet his needs with empathy
care and compassion despite many difficult situations arising.
They were flexible punctual and professional. Communication between the agency and myself was very good I was aware of the rota of carers well in advance and advised of any changes or new staff who may be visiting.
Masks were worn at all times and staff introduced themselves politely on every visit.
I wish we hadn’t needed the agency support but I am so pleased Right at Home had the capacity to support my husband during his last few months.

Right at Home has provided excellent care over the last 2 years to my wife who has very late Parkinsons. The carers have been friendly and often funny cheering up my wife. Unfortunately she has reached the point of going into a full-time care home for specialised nursing.

My mother in law needed daily care each evening rather suddenly, and although it was very short notice Right at Home stepped in and met the need with great aplomb. As we live at a distance, everything had to be arranged by phone but this was managed without any fuss; the carers went to introduce themselves
and immediately it was clear that things were going to be fine.
The carers have been excellent at providing help with medication, personal care and general support, and have gone out of their way to make sure that things were working properly. Communication has been very good, with any concerns we raised acted upon straight away. The carers and managers have made sure that we were made aware of any difficulties my mother in law was experiencing, so we have been able to discuss these and manage the situation accordingly. Flexibility, helpfulness and adaptability have been fantastic.
We're very pleased with the service and would recommend without reservation.

Very impressed with the service from Right at Home Ilkley over the course of the past year, during which time they supported my father to continue living at home, despite his advancing dementia. Managers and caregivers alike have been consistently friendly, compassionate, supportive, prompt and responsive.
It is an excellent service which I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for care at home for themselves or a loved one.

We could not be happier about the care my mother who is 101 received from Right at Home. The manager who came to see us and to meet my mother was a professional of the highest standard. She captured mum’s needs so accurately, down to the minutest detail. The ladies who cared for her were wonderful,
always on time, respectful, kind, treated her with dignity and mum loved chatting to them. Nothing was too much trouble.
We were kept informed of any changes by management on a regular basis.


I would certainly recommend Right at Home highly

My husband has dementia the carers treated him with great care and maintained his dignity. They established a good rapport with him and encouraged him to go out.
Any feedback to me was carried out discreetly. Timekeeping was excellent and we were quickly notified about any traffic delays.

I have found every contact with Right at Home to be very pleasant. They obviously really care for their clients and take time to get the right client/carer matched. The carers who come to sit with my husband have been lovely and I feel he is being well looked after when I go out.

My mum recently came out of hospital needing support in the mornings and evenings. All the carers have shown kindness towards mum and respect of her wish to be as independent as possible, within her capabilities. They have also watched her progress and been sensitive to her changing needs as mum has
begun to recover. Friendly and professional carers and management. The communication and organisation has been great and taken a lot of stress out of a difficult time. Thank you Right at Home.

Paresh Mistry

Job Title: Managing Director Joined: 2019

After over 10 years in the Financial Services sector as a Chartered Accountant, I felt it was time for a change! I wanted to do something where I would be contributing positively to the lives of others.


I have a genuine passion for working in the community and supporting people to live independently and with dignity within their own homes.


At Right at Home, we provide a minimum 1-hour person-centred visit where the client is at the heart of all we do. All our caregivers are well-trained, valued and supported. Our caregivers arrive when they say they will and get to know their clients, every caregiver will be specially selected for the client and introduced so no one will ever have a stranger in their home.


I am delighted to have the opportunity to deliver an outstanding quality service through Right at Home Ilkley, Keighley & Skipton where we can offer anything from companionship to 24/7 live-in care.

Samuel

Samuel Harrop

Job Title: Registered Manager Joined: 2023

Samuel (Sam) joined Right at Home Ilkley, Keighley And Skipton in December 2023.


Following a successful career in sales, the COVID-19 pandemic prompted Sam to seek a role where he could make a meaningful difference in the local community.


This led Sam to the health and social care sector, where he discovered his passion for care. Over the past four years, his drive and dedication have allowed him to progress from Care Assistant to Senior Care Assistant and then on to Team Leader. Sam joined Right at Home Ilkley, Keighley And Skipton as Deputy Care Manager. He was then promoted to Care Manager and then Registered Manager.


Sam is committed to providing high-quality care and support to those in need.


Outside of work, Sam is passionate about healthy living, running, mountain biking and exercise and enjoys the outdoors.


Sam lives with his fiancé and two young daughters, aged 6 and 4, who keep him grounded and inspired every day.

Sophie

Sophie Winstanley

Job Title: Deputy Care Manager Joined: 2024

Sophie joined Right at Home Ilkley, Keighley & Skipton as Deputy Care Manager in October 2024.


Before joining Right at Home, Sophie completed a Social Work degree and worked in Child protection for 2 years. Sophie has had various care roles over an 8-year period, from care assistant up to senior care positions. She also has a keen interest in dementia and wants to progress her understanding with further study in the future.


Outside of work, Sophie enjoys running, baking and exploring the Yorkshire Dales.

Caoimhe

Caoimhe Joyce

Job Title: Care Coordinator Joined: 2021

Caoimhe (Keeva), is the Care Coordinator for Right at Home Ilkley, Keighley and Skipton.


Caoimhe initially worked in the hospitality sector in 2017 and started her care career in 2021. Towards the end of 2021, Caoimhe came across Right at Home and immediately resonated with our values. Caoimhe joined Right at Home as a CareGiver and has worked her way up to Care Coordinator. Caoimhe has a strong passion for supporting those in need and loves making a difference in people’s lives, seeing smiles on our client's faces.


As a Care Coordinator, Caoimhe's role is to make sure that all clients receive the high-quality care they deserve; ensuring their calls are covered with CareGivers they enjoy seeing and maintaining continuity. In addition, Caoimhe ensures that the well-being of our CareGivers is considered, ensuring work-life balance when planning the rota. The role does require problem-solving which Caoimhe thrives off - not every day is the same!


Caoimhe is originally from Manchester, however, has lived in North Yorkshire for several years. In her spare time, Caoimhe enjoys going on walks with her French Bulldog Geordie, relaxing and reading crime-based books, going to the gym and spending quality time with family who live in Northumberland. Caoimhe is also studying BA (Hons) in Criminology and Sociology- currently in her final year.
