Right at Home North Somerset is a care company that is "Genuinely Caring". They would never aim to be one of the largest care companies, preferring to maintain a friendly yet professional atmosphere across all of the team. They are a local company, employing local people, and genuinely wanting to make a difference in North Somerset.

They provide Top Quality Training and Supervision to all team members, who are all fully qualified and experienced to provide support within the home : including medication, personal care, social outings, shopping, or just plain companionship.

Their offices are based on the M5 just on the entrance to Weston-Super-Mare, which is a great location to provide care to Weston-Super-Mare, Clevedon, Portishead, as well as the inland areas of Nailsea, Congresbury, Yatton, Backwell and surrounds. They also support clients in Cheddar, Axbridge, Wedmore, and Burnham-on-Sea.

The service is very good. I would prefer fewer individuals calling to see my wife. Her condition requires regular callers rather than so many changes. I have no complaints about the service and think the company does very well for my wife.

Our experience with Right at Home is a positive one. I feel that they have my mum's best interests at heart. We have regular carers who have built rapport with our family and carry out their duties with confidence and respect.
The admin team respond well to any queries and I feel they are always keen
to help.
Recently, we have had some new carers visit. My only suggestion is that if they are running late to inform the office so they can let the client know if there is a delay.

Excellent service staff friendly and always happy to help and give advice.
They work well with my mum who helps to care for my dad and gives her time to have a break doing his shower etc.

Right at Home carers have been able to fit into my mum's schedule and become her companions and helpers without any friction or resistance. They are polite, caring and responsive and it’s good to know they are on hand to help out Mum. The Appian app is great also, as I get twice-daily updates on how
mum is doing, what she’s eating and to know that she’s safe and happy after each of the carers' visits.

Right at Home (North Somerset) have been very helpful in providing a broad and consistent care package. Once we all settled into a routine we now have a core care team who are excellent.
The office staff are extremely helpful at sorting any issues for and/or time clashes.
The only challenge has been
getting access to the care system the Right at Home provide.
Overall Right at Home and their team have been very good/helpful.

The care that my dad gets from his wonderful carers is absolutely fantastic. Unfortunately, what lets it down is the disorganisation with his hours. When things change within the office, he is not kept informed and it’s assumed that because he is such a lovely man, he will be fine with any changes.
I understand sickness happens, especially in this line of work but I don’t think it is a lot to ask to keep clients informed. But everyone that comes to see him, makes him happy and that is so important.

Absolutely brilliant caregivers and the whole company, I finally get peace of mind that my husband is well cared for especially while I am at dialysis three days a week. He looks forward to the carer arriving and nothing is too much trouble for the caregiver, they have encouraged him to join in with
activities that are put on by the office and he has enjoyed getting out, the caregivers have helped both my husband and myself with anything that needs doing personally and with domestic duties as well.

Absolutely brilliant and professional service and on time. The staff soon got to know my dad's needs and they sent the same carer most nights, meaning that my dad didn't have to keep explaining himself and what he needed.

We have been really impressed by the service Right at Home provides since we became service users six months ago. Formerly our experience of care was inconsistent and predictable - 2/3 calls a day with little extra provided. At the time this seemed good enough but now the flexibility provided has vastly
improved the quality of both our lives. I have felt comfortable with our main carer and all the other staff are great too!

I tried to be independent in looking after my husband, but when my own health began to suffer, I was persuaded to ask for help. Right at Home was suggested to me, and I have been delighted with the support my husband and I have received. The carers certainly live up to their title, as they are so friendly,
helpful and understanding. My husband's face lights up when they arrive to shower him, and they are so patient with him as he talks about the same topics over and over again. The office staff are friendly and helpful too, and if there is any problem, it is quickly resolved. I know I made the right choice when I asked Right at Home for help, and my husband and I are benefitting from their excellent service.

Changing agencies to "Right at Home" was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I feel less like a customer and more like a member of a large extended family. Very good care. They give a sheet to tell mum when they are coming and who her carrier will be, they are happy to help with all things she needs. They try to keep to the same carriers in the week, which mum likes. Also if they are going to change times they will contact me to tell me, nothing is too
much trouble for them.

Like Right at Home because when they take me out, they don't mind if it's cold or raining; we pop in somewhere for a cop of tea, walk or look at the view. Carers assist me with walking sometimes, help with household tasks if the weather is awful or I feel a bit under the weather. Share my sadness over
my husband passing and cheer me up. Enjoy activities group. Look forward to it.

I have only worked in care for a year and a half after having come from a legal background. They say when one door closes, another opens.
