Home Instead gave me great confidence and peace of mind from the very first meeting we had. They offer a professional and flexible service and are always very helpful and supportive. Mum is always treated with kindness and respect and has a great relationship with her carers. I cannot recommend them highly enough.
A big thanks for your kind words from the whole team of Gloucester
As a healthcare professional, I work alongside lots of care agencies in another part of the country and I can confidently say that I have never experienced an agency as good as Home Instead.
We employed Home Instead for my father to help to assist with his personal care and getting out of bed and going to bed, meals and medication so that Dad still felt he had a degree of independence. This helped enormously so that we could concentrate on giving him quality time during the day. The team developed a great rapport with Dad and liaised with myself and other family members and provided us with well-needed support. Home Instead were able to provide some greater support when Dad deteriorated and the times the carers came was the chance to take a break and give us the strength to continue with Dad`s care. I would recommend the Home Instead team for supplying wonderful, caring support to Dad and family members.
The team genuinely care for Dad, treating him with dignity as well as having a good giggle - it feels very personal.
Flexibility has been really important to us as Dad has unfortunately had a number of hospital stays, but the team at Home Instead have been right behind us, ready to re-commence care as soon as we’ve needed it.
I genuinely do not know what we would do without them.
Thank you so much for your kind words. It is very much our privilege to support your dad and the rest of the family where we can. Dad gives us as much joy as we are able to give him, and his sense of humour is encourageable. It is our pleasure to see him daily.
The team were all very accommodating in supporting my mum when she needed support at home. The staff were excellent with communicating with other family members and me and would make changes to support when needed. I would happily recommend it to other families needing this support.
We employed Home Instead initially to help my parents in law as they began to struggle with everyday tasks. The carers began by helping with cooking meals and light house work with there main achievement being developing a rapport with them which helped them accept help in their home. This helped enormously when my father in law was taken into hospital, my mother in law was already familiar with many members of the staff and home instead did a wonderful job of keeping continuity going. They stepped in during a very difficult time to enable my mother in law to stay at home. We could not fault their flexibility and the support they gave to the entire family.
With their care, my parents were able to stay living in their own home for longer before needing to move for specialist 24-hour care.
Totally reliable - the daily carers were fantastic not only in their professional standards of care but also their friendliness and the respect and dignity they afforded my Mum and Dad.
As a family member, I also felt supported and reassured that I had up to date information available to me after each visit.
Any concerns regarding my parents were always passed onto me however small.
As a family, we would have absolutely no hesitation in asking the manager and his team to look after Mum and Dad again.
Very happy with the care given to my parents over more than a year. Staff always kind and gentle. Management always flexible and understanding. There were many challenges but all dealt with very well. Highly recommended.
The carers are cooking them proper meals, assisting with housework and providing excellent personal care for Mum.
Right from the start when we first met the manager, who came out and met my parents, we could just tell this a team who really do care and enjoy the work they do.
All of the carers who have helped mum and dad are brilliant, I have to say the caregiver goes above and beyond and we are so grateful as a family for all the help.
I am so pleased she did! The girls from Home Instead were fantastic going over and above our expectations! So professional, friendly, caring, empathetic and above all treated Mum with great dignity and kindness, always finding time to talk to Mum and include her in their conversations. They were also a source of comfort and reassurance to us, sharing sorrow when times were tough. In short, we could not have managed those last few weeks without their cheery support and reassurance.
My mother, who has advanced vascular dementia, moved in with me at the beginning of August and I was seeking help to be with her two days a week. From the outset, I found Home Instead very professional and efficient. We have two helpers on the different days and I would say that they go beyond the remit. Mum does colouring, jigsaws, has trips out for coffee, walks and has had a baking session in the run-up to Christmas; she is stimulated and thoroughly enjoys the activities and company. Her carers have ongoing training and are kind and thoughtful, looking for new activities that Mum might enjoy. I would highly recommend Home Instead.
We engaged Home Instead to provide support to my parents, who despite their age and poor physical/mental health still consider themselves to be independent and who were, initially resistant to the idea of having people come to support them. The Care Coordinator very quickly established a rapport with them at the initial meeting and helped them to have the confidence and trust to accept support. Once support commenced a few months ago the team members who have been working to support my parents have been excellent. They have established a great relationship with them and are clearly sensitive and respondent to their needs and preferences, demonstrating a flexible approach to changing circumstances. The team members are clearly well trained and very caring with a proven ability to establish a trusting relationship with my parents who were initially resistant to the idea of support. We benefit from excellent communication and constructive feedback from Home Instead. Very happy
Many thanks for your kind words. We are really pleased to hear that you find our relationship-led approach to care effective.
We had no reason to worry at all. The wonderful ladies who visit Mum 4 times a day are all consummate professionals who carry out all tasks with great dignity and respect. Best of all, they treat my wonderful mum with compassion, kindness and humour. They never reduce her to "a job" but embrace her as a friend they genuinely enjoy spending time with and Mum loves them.
Home Instead has given us a degree of reassurance about Mum's wellbeing that we never imagined possible and we are all very grateful.
Warm regards.
Team Home Instead
I would highly recommend Home Instead, this being the first time I have used this service. Both my wife and I have been extremely grateful for the care, kindness and consideration shown by our carer.
Mum and Dad have never had a cleaner or any sort of help so it was a huge step to take and one everyone was nervous about. However, the manager got to know them personally and ensured they received just what they needed. Having home help has relieved us of some of those everyday tasks that suck energy and precious time. It’s only been a week but it has been a real game changer for us already!
I like to see my caregivers. They make my day. I feel so comfortable and happy after they have supported me.
The staff at Home Instead went above and beyond to provide my mother with emergency care coming out of hospital. Her communication with me was excellent and she was always honest about what might be achievable. The caregivers have been lovely and treated Mum with kindness and respect. I am kept informed of any concerns and what can be done. I have been delighted with the quality of the care team.
Many thanks for taking time to share your kind feedback. Our team will be delighted see this.
Home Instead - Gloucester and The Forest of Dean have been professional and wonderfully caring for my mother. At very short notice they have made extra visits to care for mum. My mother looks forward to a lovely, friendly face everyday to help her shower, dress and get breakfast. All staff go beyond the realms of their duty to provide a caring role for mum. She is ninety one years old and needs help in everyday tasks to enable her to stay in her own home. I cannot recommend the staff and agency highly enough. They give me peace of mind as I live fifty miles away.
Thanks for your kind feedback. Our care champions love supporting your mom and they would be delighted to see your feedback.
Warm regards
My Mum needed a care package to be sorted after another fall and recovering from Covid 19 over the Christmas period. Despite all my enquiries, the local council was not able to offer any help as mum did not meet the criteria set by the local authority. However, they suggested a private care company. We had seen Home instead advertised on the Tv so we called the office, the professional service offered was second to none, they arranged a home visit within 24 hours and they went through our options with clear and precise advice. They chatted to mum in order to try and match the best Carers for mum. We signed up and the care package started on the following Monday. We have regular calls from the office checking how things are going, and are totally amazed just how much difference the care has made to my Mum.
From the outset, they were friendly and actually listened to what I felt my mother needed. They have taken real care in providing someone who my mother can get on with and ensure where possible the same person visits at a time convenient to her.
I am always contacted if there are any issues or concerns and they have gone out of their way to assist in my mother living an independent life.
I can’t thank you enough for the peace of mind you are giving me.
