The woman who introduced the workers to us was brilliant and acted quickly when I had concerns. Two of the workers are absolutely brilliant too - the new woman in particular has been impressive.

We are very pleased with the care, support and dignity the carers give to our dad, particularly his main carer and experienced staff. They are amazing, and we cannot thank them enough. It is such a relief to us to know he is being so well cared for.

The good care starts with management, who are very understanding about my requirements and want to make sure things are right for me. They come across as genuinely caring about their staff and clients. Communication is good; I am emailed my rota, so I know who to expect, and I am called if there is
a problem. Carers are warm and friendly, arrive on time, and are here to do things as well as chat. They happily help with housework and encourage me to do as much for myself as possible, even if it takes longer and they are standing around. I have a small group of three carers, which is what I asked for.
Reply from Shweta Batra, Director at Caremark Central BedfordshireHi Ruth,
Many thanks for writing a review for us. We will make sure we continue to provide the best of service for your needs.

The carers have been friendly, helpful and professional. Usually arriving on time, however when there is a problem, although my father is contacted, it is difficult for him to answer the telephone when the reason for having the carer is to help him get up in the morning. Overall communication is good
but there is a lot of documenting at the end of each visit which seems unnecessary.

I found Caremark easy to reach and very helpful.

The main carer to my mother showed good knowledge of dementia and was very patient.

Thank you to the amazing care staff whom have provided daily care to my mother. The carers have been caring, non judgemental and have aimed to cater for all of her care needs. I am so appreciative of the carers knowing my mother was always in good hands. Any concerns were raised immediately and dealt
with in a professional manner. Communication from the carers and management have been excellent, all so caring. Thank you once again and I highly recommend Caremark for the care of your loved ones.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Home Care Provider is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.868 for Caremark Central Bedfordshire is calculated as follows: ( (113 Excellents x 5) + (15 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 129 Ratings = 4.868
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

    The 5 points available are broken down as follows: 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.5 Points for the second and third Positive Reviews, 0.25 Points for each of the next two Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3, 2nd = 0.5, 3rd = 0.5, 4th = 0.25, 5th = 0.25, 6th = 0.05, 7th = 0.05, 8th = 0.05, 9th = 0.05, 10th = 0.05, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025)

    The 5 points relating to the number of Positive Reviews for Caremark Central Bedfordshire is based on 22 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as follows: 3 + 0.5 + 0.5 + 0.25 + 0.25 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 5
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Home Care Provider does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
