Good Oaks carers are very reliable, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. I feel very comfortable with the carers, especially as I can be very very anxious, and this helped to put my mind at ease.

Comforting to realise someone will come which is important to me after just leaving the hospital. The carers are lovely and very approachable and always keen to do as asked. The care is excellent.

Very friendly management. Good communication. Mum has been pleased so far with the two carers that have visited her so far in her first week. They have been caring to Mum, treated her with respect and dignity and made her feel safe.

Good Oaks were very prompt and proactive in finding a live-in carer for my father who has dementia. He can be quite difficult but the carer quickly established an excellent relationship and he is now thriving and very happy to have her as his carer. Good Oaks are always very quick to respond to any emails or queries that we have and I would certainly recommend them.

I would like to express our appreciation from myself and my father regarding the amazing level of care provided and help received by all the staff members of the Good Oaks team, I hope some of the specific details and attention to detail has not gone unnoticed by senior care members and the management team.
I am fully aware of what’s required when working in a home environment, it can be extremely challenging when caring for individuals, having cared for my uncle for seven years, I am particularly writing to express thanks regarding two members of staff, this is not in any way to reflect or offend any other member of the team, we are extremely impressed by every team member, clearly well trained and their manners, attitude are of the highest standard.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Good Oaks Home Care to anyone finding themselves in a similar situation to my family, they really do deliver and provide a fantastic service

Thank you.

A wonderful service that’s caring and professional. A full assessment is performed so the client gets the right care for them.
People are treated as individuals so the care package suits that person’s needs.

We are very pleased with the provider.

Carers are all well trained and friendly. Usually, they are punctual, only being affected by road conditions as I am on the edge of their area. I can recommend the company but cannot commit to value for money as I have no experience with another one.

I am very satisfied with Good Oaks Home Care services. All of the staff are lovely and always have time to sit and chat with me which I like. I am pleased with my call times and the care I receive within that time. Nothing seems to be too much and the girls go above and beyond to make sure I have everything I need.

Can’t praise the staff enough.

I would like to express how the carers were very professional and friendly towards the client. The care was exceptional they went above and beyond for the client as well as her husband.
Every visit throughout the day for preparing meals was always enjoyable, nothing was too much trouble.

The client throughout her palliative care was always treated with dignity.

Overall Experience
Good Oaks Derby and Ashbourne did not provide a good experience for my chronically ill daughter.
The first registered manager did not complete a proper care assessment and did not complete the relevant or correct paperwork, so a care plan and risk assessments were not put in place before care started.
The second registered manager also did not complete a full care assessment or risk assessment.
My daughter's full care assessment was not completed until the 4th October.
Care started in July. The care staff nor management were not fully trained in how to use their own computerised care note system, so care notes were not put on their system accurately during July, August, and September.
This care agency was unable to provide consistent care for my daughter and created a huge amount of stress and then pulled out of the care package leaving no notice.

The Derby and Ashbourne office did not fulfill the standards set out on their website which led to great disappointment.
