The success of the live-in care has been down to the careful selection of high-quality carers for my parents. Both parents were interviewed and carers found that had similar interests and experiences. They have formed very happy and positive relationships with both carers as have I as their daughter. The communication with myself is outstanding and it has changed a previously very stressful situation into one where I can now enjoy a visit as their daughter rather than a carer. The care received by my Mum and Dad has been outstanding and I am extremely grateful for the wonderful service provided.

My uncle enjoys the support of the care team in the area. My uncle has twice daily visits to help him maintain his independence in his home. They do a fantastic job. I cannot compliment the team highly enough.

All carers turn up at the allotted time. They are pleasant and friendly and put mum at ease. She is up showered, dressed and has breakfast. They always offer to do anything else within the time left - load or empty the washing machine, hang up washing or take something out of the freezer for her later meal.

I was able to see and contribute to the care plan and also see the visit reports using an app and it was easy to set up and use. I wouldn’t hesitate to use further support services from Home Instead and found everyone really helpful, friendly and especially caring. Five stars.

Home Instead have looked after my 92-year-old mother at home twice a day for over a year now and they have been nothing short of a godsend. Without them we would not have been able to keep her at home for so long. The girls were relaxed and friendly and weren't put off by her extreme hoarding. On the contrary they sat with her and chatted and allowed her to tell them all about the things she's done and places she's been. They also gained enough trust for her to let them do some basic cleaning tasks and even, occasionally, throw some used biscuit wrappers in the bin! The entries in the app at each visit allowed us, her daughters, to feel reassured and to have something to ask her about when we phoned/video called later. I would thoroughly recommend.

We have had brilliant service and support from the Home Instead Ayr team now for over 18 months. They are perceptive, responsive, caring and helpful. Navigating this difficult transition through support to full caregiving, they have been very helpful indeed. There are also specific carers that go above and beyond, building close and trusting relationships. The continuity of caregivers can be a challenge as staff come and go but Home Instead seem to be better at retention of staff than most, this is a challenge for the sector. All in all, they have made it possible to remain at home receiving care and support, we are all very grateful we started with them and continue to work with them.

Our father was Mr independent and resisted help from anyone other than family until he met his two carers from Home Instead. They made his lunch the way he liked it, listened patiently to his stories and cheerfully kept his house (and him) neat and tidy. My sister and I used the app for updates, leaving Dad with the feeling of independence he valued so much.

First class service from first phone call right through to successful set up of new care plan and start of care provision. All staff at every level go the extra mile to problem solve and assist in every conceivable way. You are in safe hands with these people.

My dad used Home Instead carers prior to going into a care home. The carers were excellent, gave my dad some company, did housework and would happily take him for his weekly shopping. Home Instead were excellent and very helpful when my dad was admitted to hospital. The manager was very helpful, let us know prices and services and she and other staff genuinely seemed to care about Dad and what was in the best interests of him. Thank you.

Home Instead provides great care for my mother. It gives the family peace of mind to know that her needs are being met and that she can continue to live in the house that she and my dad built in the 1960s. All the caregivers are wonderful people, and the mental stimulation of a chat about all kinds of subjects has been beneficial for Mum's dementia. Knowing that she is being fed good food, getting bathed on a regular basis and being assisted with laundry and housework takes the pressure off the family. As a dementia patient, things have to go at Mum's pace, and the Home Instead caregivers have the time to see to her needs.

We would not hesitate to recommend Home Instead South to anyone with elderly parents who need assistance.

Home Instead have offered my sister and I peace of mind with the care they have provided for our mother. Neither of us live in the UK and Home Instead management has accommodated all our requests to enable our mother to remain in her home presently and be cared for as needed.
