Both managers and carers provide a professional package of care that exceeded my expectations. They truly show real care, laughter, and insight into my disabilities, even knowing my needs when I am unable to express them myself. I was hesitant about having more than 1 carer but it was the best decision they made. They complement each other perfectly, providing a holistic approach to my physical and psychological care. I feel fully confident in the whole team, where nothing is above what they can do - for example securing my grant for a new fridge. I have a teenage daughter at college who was under extreme pressure to balance her A levels alongside being my carer. Now I see a free blossoming young lady who has time to balance typical teenage things. With the excellent help of my carers, she is emotionally and physically able to go to university knowing that I am in good hands - so a huge thank you.

As a full time carer to my husband trying to juggle a full time job, I made the decision to seek some help from an agency rather than keep relying on favours from family. However, the need for this support came quicker than expected meaning I had to arrange care at short notice. Using an online service to find a local agency I was quickly put in touch with the Manager who rang me within 30 minutes of posting my request. The Manager listened carefully to my situation and explained what the agency could offer including transparency around cost. This was soon followed by an assessment with reassurances about the care my husband would receive. Once the plan was agreed, I was given access to an app where I could see the plan and the names and times of care staff supporting my husband. While I was away my husband received excellent care and support (as outlined in the plan) from all the carers, which I was able to read about after each visit. I will definitely use the team again and would recommend them.

Meet the Team (2)
Richard, owner and director of Radfield Home Care Camberley, Farnborough & Fleet has a wealth of experience and knowledge of the health and social care sector.
As a qualified care manager with experience in successfully running large-scale care operations, Richard has qualifications in both management and leadership in health and social care.
Richard explains, “I spent 10 years of my career prior to moving into social care managing businesses within the recruitment industry, however, I always knew that I wanted to move into a more service-driven sector and role, where my input would have a positive impact directly on people’s lives. My initial role in the care sector was as a registered branch manager of a home care service - a ‘hands-on’ role, making a positive difference to individuals every day.”
Richard was subsequently promoted to an area manager role, spending most of his day on the road and soon realised that the role was too far removed from the service itself, and took the decision to return to the service delivery that he’d loved from the start.
Richard adds, “As a registered care manager, I developed a true passion to want to open my own home care business in my local community - providing high-quality person-centred care and support services and offering exceptional employment and career opportunities.”
We would like to introduce you to Claire, Operations Manager for Radfield Home Care Camberley, Farnborough & Fleet. Claire is responsible for the day-to-day running of the office in line with CQC regulations and also for ensuring that the service is safe, caring, responsive, effective and well-led. Claire is the key point of contact for carers, clients and their families and promotes individuals’ wellbeing at all times.
Claire has a wealth of experience working in care, having spent the last 10 years working within the Health and Social Care sector. Her career has been focused specifically around domiciliary care, where she spent time as a Care Professional, Field Care Supervisor, Care Coordinator and Deputy Manager. This breadth of experience has given Claire a clear understanding of the challenges facing the industry.
Claire tells us:
“I bring over a decade of knowledge and experience in home care. My role and experience will benefit the clients at Radfield because I will ensure that all clients are receiving a service of the utmost quality. With my experience, I have come to understand the balance between what works best in practice and remaining open to new innovative ways of working.”
Claire is a natural when it comes to care, she loves spending time with people and building lasting relationships with clients. She goes on to say:
“I have always been drawn to the sector through a passion for achieving goals that improve service and ultimately the quality of people’s life.”
Claire is currently studying towards achieving her level 5 in leadership & management for care services, which will continue to bolster her offering as a care manager and her ability to lead an effective team of Care Professionals and office staff.
