Overall Experience

The manager and another staff member are part of a small team of carers providing 24/7 care for my husband who has advanced young onset Alzheimer's. Both provide care which is of a very high standard and I am very comfortable leaving my husband in their care. The manager also provides occasional weekend live-in care which also works very well. Compared to other agencies, VKARE's rates are also very reasonable.

Overall Experience

The manager and her team provided a first class overnight care service to mum when she came out of hospital following a fall. They were punctual, well-trained in caring equipment etc, and - most important of all - warm, empathetic and genuinely caring.

Overall Experience

We changed to VKARE following a very bad experience we had with the one allocated by our local authority. From our very first meeting with VKARE I felt reassured that we'd found something special. Their team managed the smooth transition without fuss and immediately got to work. Within just a couple of days they established a friendly and trusting relationship with our neighbour and we have seen a dramatic improvement in his condition. It is so nice to see that there are still carers that really do care! They are worth every penny!

Overall Experience

The service provided by VKARE has been consistently excellent since our first engagement in 2023. All members of the team treat my mother with dignity, and respect, which puts me at ease to leave her in their complete care when I need to. This was the case in October 2024 when I had to travel and was away for 2 weeks. My mother was well looked after and there were no difficulties with the level of care she received in my absence. I particularly appreciate that the team respects my mum's special ways that can at times be challenging. This is partly to do with dementia and her mobility. She is also visually impaired with low aural abilities - these can be very challenging but the team are always patient with mum. At times, I have called on their service at short notice and they have always graciously provided this, which I very much appreciate. They were recommended and I have not regretted engaging the service.

Excellent service provider. Always gives good level of care service and communication according to the care plan. Very flexible. I know that I can count on the owner and her team of staff for compassionate care for my mother.

Overall Experience

The carers give confidence in the way they show concern, commitment and compassion, even in difficult circumstances. I have nothing but admiration for the work they do. The administrative delivery is organised, supportive and engaging. As the person representing the client's needs, I feel that we are listened to and decisions are being made with genuine respect and in the best interest of the client. I like the idea of the app as a way to keep our communication going but it does need some development. That said, I'm happy that we are flexible about finding other ways of keeping in touch. Thank you.

VKARE is very professional and provides excellent and genuinely compassionate care that is tailored to the needs of the client. The support my mother is receiving from VKARE is helping her to live independently in her own home with dignity. The level of care is consistently of a high standard and provides me with the reassurance that my mother is being well cared for.

My grandma is an 82yr old advanced Alzheimer's patient, requiring full-time care with life. When grandpa suddenly fell seriously ill on a Friday, I desperately started looking for a carer urgently. The manager responded to our emergency and turned up at our door within 2hrs of contacting us. She told us that it would be difficult to find someone immediately, so she decided to take it on herself. The way she took care of my grandma over the next few days was a wonderful experience. The genuine love, empathy and kindness that she displayed towards a stranger she had never met before, was truly remarkable. She was very punctual and did her work with abundant patience, even when situations were difficult. She handled her tasks expertly, while preserving the patient's dignity at every step. She was a godsend and I wish her great success. Thank you to the manager, for all the love and kindness.

Overall Experience
After having Covid-19, I received excellent care support from the carer when she worked for another company.
Unfortunately, I was not able to get in touch with her until April 2022.
I am now receiving support from Vkare with my long Covid-19 problem and other health problems.

I am receiving help with all aspects of my care needs, including helping with medication, shopping, cleaning and meal preparation. I would recommend this service to my friends and family.

My mother currently has regular twice-weekly visits from the provider and she is always treated with the utmost care, dignity and respect, and always in a most professional way. Mum enjoys the calmness of the visits which are helping her to deal with day-to-day household tasks. In addition to her regular scheduled visits, VKARE Domiciliary Services have also been able to accompany Mum to dental and hospital appointments, which has been extremely helpful and reassuring for Mum and me. The carer has also helped with organising regular medication deliveries and is always on hand to chase up things like this with the GP and pharmacy. I am very glad to receive regular updates and communications from the carer to keep me up to date with what has been done on each visit and how Mum is doing and to advise if there is anything that I need to be aware of. I would definitely recommend VKARE Domiciliary Services as a professional agency who are always ready to go above and beyond to provide an excellent service.

Overall Experience

I am writing this review as I have legal power of attorney for my, now 102-year-old father's health and well-being and financial affairs. VKare Domiciliary Services have provided an excellent service to him. They have supported his full-time, live-in carer, when she has taken breaks and holidays. The attention to detail from reviewing his care plan prior to arriving and conducting a full handover at the beginning and end of the contract was excellent. During the period in February 2022, my father had a fall in the night (no blame attached to his caregiver), and the carer called an ambulance and stayed with him, keeping him calm and as comfortable as possible for an extended period, as the ambulance service was very busy. The carer went to the hospital with him, all was well, so they returned home. The following day he had forgotten all about it. My father was very happy with the carer and has said that he welcomes seeing her again on the next occasion his full-time carer takes or needs a break. I highly recommend them.

Overall Experience

The care and kindness that staff have shown both my parents has been remarkable and as a family, we are delighted that her agency is now providing care for them both. She provides personal care to my father and the quiet encouragement that enables my mother to maintain her independence. Her nursing experience, skill and kindness have improved my father's mood and his general wellbeing, which makes a profound difference at this stage of life. We now have caregivers that are able to adapt to the ever-changing needs of the elderly, provide care and advice to the family and arrive with a cheerful disposition, enabling my parents to flourish as their health declines.
