The team support the needs of older people by consistently providing high-quality, reliable care.

This starts with a comprehensive care consultation by the care manager to ensure expectations are met, a small team of care professionals is then matched with each client to support the building of a trusted relationship.

Every care professional is personally introduced to their client before each visit, shadowed on their first visit and supported throughout their journey by the care manager who works closely with care professionals and clients to ensure the quality and consistency of the care is maintained.

Their minimum visit is 1 hour as they believe that high-quality care, with the individual at the very heart of it, cannot be provided in less time.

Services include home help & housekeeping, companionship, personal care and dementia care.

Even though my dad's time with 'Home Instead' was short, as he is now in a nursing home, he enjoyed the companionship and friendship that our carer provided. I have been around a couple of times recently and heard them both laughing away in the living room. They got on really well and it's reassuring
to know he's with someone who he gets along with and is in good hands. Very good communication with the company throughout and would highly recommend.

I cannot recommend Home Instead enough. From my initial enquiry to their involvement with my relative, their service has been second to none. From the management team to the staff who have been working with my relative are exactly what I was looking for. Home Instead have matched the carers very well
to us. Home Instead listened to what our requirements were and have totally met the brief. My relative is much more contented on the days Home Instead are involved which gives me a huge sense of relief. Home Instead’s contact has been excellent, they contact me to enquire how things are working out and are always on hand to assist and will endeavour to help with any additional needs we may have, especially as our situation is fluid. Do not look any further for another care company. I score Home Instead 1000/10.

I needed to care for my elderly parents who needed someone to visit on the days I was working or couldn’t make it to see them.
It wasn’t really for personal care, more of a ‘back up’ which allowed my parents to continue living in their own home. My mother has cognitive impairment and my dad currently
has mobility issues.
They were matched with two carers who are fantastic. They quickly got to know my parents and became part of our lives!
My parents look forward to them coming to visit and are now very comfortable with them in the home. They’re both more than happy to do any tasks required, hairdresser visits, shopping, short walks, housework and most importantly, companionship.
I get peace of mind when I’m working a 12 hour shift knowing someone has seen my parents that day. Then I can log into the app and read the notes on how the visit went. This service is fantastic and helps me through those days.
I love the personalised service and the continuity it brings.

After completing my postgraduate degree in 1999 I started my career in IBM Greenock before moving to London where I spent 20+ years working within the Financial Services sector latterly founding and successfully running my own consultancy business. During my studies, I enjoyed several voluntary roles with Adults and older people that significantly helped clients and their families and after relocating back to Scotland in 2018 I was keen to move back into a more people-focused business where I could really make a difference, this led me to Home Instead.


My simple ambition is to be Inverclyde and North Ayrshire’s care employer and provider of choice using my extensive business experience to establish Home Instead at the heart of the local community.
