Home Instead have been providing companionship care for my mum for around 6 months. The carer paired with my mum was ideal and she quickly developed a good rapport with my mum who now looks forward to her visits. Our needs have varied month to month and Home Instead have been excellent at meeting our changing requests as well as offering advice and support. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for care services.
Seeking home care for a loved relative is such a difficult task, until you have to do this you have no idea how challenging it is. We were so fortunate that Home Instead responded to our request for help and as a family we have been delighted with the service for the past 4 months. From the start it was clear that they knew what they were doing, excellent communication and explanation of the services on offer. They have been very responsive to our changing requirements and have adapted the service based on individual needs. All the carers are well trained and actually care for the person they are looking after. Being able to contact someone who understands is really important, overall we cannot fault this service. In January 2022 we were first introduced to Home Instead. After struggling for years to cope with my husband's Alzheimer's diagnosis. What a difference Home Instaed carers have made for us both. Care is first class not only well matched to their client's needs but for family needs as well, understanding issues associated with whatever illness they are dealing with and for the 2 hours respite, five days a week and my sanity.
Home Instead has recently started to visit my elderly mother and although I do not live locally I have been there on various occasions. I have to say that I am very impressed with the professional service and care that they have shown. My mother is very grateful and appreciates all their kindness and attention and always looks forward to their visits.
The management team is efficient and reliable never once letting her down throughout covid and wintry weather. They use the latest technology to inform me of my sister's daily health via an app.
The nursing staff are knowledgeable about elderly care and are readily available over concerns.
The carers who are responsible for my sister's daily care are well trained, conscientious and compassionate. They genuinely care about my sister and have built a great relationship with not only her but me as her main relative.
I look forward to seeing the care professional every morning as they brighten up my day and they are always very pleasant. The two hours I get on a Saturday is excellent for getting out and getting some shopping or going for a coffee.
As I am now 91 years of age and living alone in my home, which I own. I am very dependent on assistance with any tasks which I find difficult. I therefore appreciate all the help which I get from Home Instead service providers.
Review took the right amount of time. She was very pleasant and asked if everything was working out well and were there any areas in which there could be improvement. Very happy with the service and staff.
Home Instead has been supporting my mum for over two years now. As Mum's condition has deteriorated over that time, the support and care have increased. I must congratulate Home Instead on the calibre of their staff. Every one of the ladies who I have met and who visit Mum is very professional. They are kind, friendly, approachable and very caring. I really don't know what Mum would do without them. I live abroad, and knowing how well the ladies look after Mum is a huge relief to me. The communication from the Home Instead team is excellent, and if I raise any concerns with them, they are immediately addressed. Mum is very fond of her regular ladies. Well done, Home Instead.
After using Home Instead for 8 months and with my mother in an "end of life" condition, Home Instead chose to abruptly withdraw their services without notice. We were told that this was due to the fact that we did not have an adjustable medical bed. Following a complaint, to the care manager, the following day Home Instead indicated that service could be re-instated if we rented a medical bed and had two carers three times a day, instead of one three times per day at a cost 2.5xs what we had been paying to date. This included renting a medical bed. My mother passed two days later in the care of family members. We feel extremely disappointed with the manner in which Home Instead withdrew their services. The situation placed the family in an impossible position during, what was already a very stressful time. It is important to note that this was not the carers' fault who attended my mother but Home Instead's senior management.
I realise that this is a very difficult time for the family with the passing of your mother and there is a lot of emotion in the review. Whilst I am respectful of your feelings I also feel that I need to provide details that are missing. After a fall our carer advised us that your mum's mobility...
