All of our carers are supportive, helpful, funny, and go over and above their normal schedules to sort out Dad's every need. They also support my eighty-year-old mum who has had some health issues lately. Thank you AcreCare, Bognor for providing efficient, well-qualified staff.

My Mum has received excellent care from all the team. They were gentle, patient and understanding, even when my Mum could be, at times, very difficult to deal with. The staff formed strong personal relationships with my Mum. It is true to say real friendships were formed. They are a strong caring team and I have no hesitation in recommending them. Significantly, the team also correctly identified an infection allowing for timely treatment. I remain extremely grateful for the care they have given.
Pleasant company to deal with. Meet my stepfather's needs. Have fitted in extra care when needed and covered me when I am away. My stepfather is happy with his care and the staff that come to see him.

Cannot praise the company enough. The team are supportive, kind, and professional. They keep me fully engaged with all developments and always have my Aunt's best interests at heart. They have been looking after her for a year now and always go the extra mile to ensure she enjoys life to the fullest. She is treated like a person rather than just a ‘service user’. Would 100% recommend the company.

I’m a Care Coordinator for Acre Care in Bognor Regis. I look after the daily scheduling, making sure all our clients get their calls at the right times and we have enough carers to cover them. I work closely with our carers and clients, helping with any requests, changes or last-minute cover to make sure everything runs smoothly.

My journey into the care industry began around six years ago, but in many ways, caring became part of my life before it became my career.
My first real experience of care came from looking after my grandma. Being there for someone I loved and seeing first-hand how important the right support, patience and compassion can be gave me a genuine understanding of what good care means. It was this experience that inspired me to take my first steps into the care industry.
I started my career as a Care Assistant, working directly with people in their own homes and supporting them with their everyday needs. This gave me invaluable experience and taught me that care is about so much more than completing a list of tasks. It is about getting to know the person behind the care plan, understanding what matters to them and helping them maintain as much independence, dignity and choice as possible.
As my experience and confidence grew, I progressed into the role of Care Coordinator. This gave me the opportunity to see another side of the industry and understand just how much work goes on behind the scenes to make sure people receive safe, consistent and person-centred care. It also gave me experience in supporting care teams, coordinating services and dealing with the many different challenges that can arise in care.
I later took some time away from the industry to have my children and focus on my family. Becoming a mum brought a completely new chapter to my life and, when the time was right to return to work, I knew that care was still where I wanted to be.
I returned to Acre Care as a Team Leader, bringing with me not only my previous experience as a carer and coordinator, but also a greater appreciation for the importance of patience, communication and supporting others.
One of the things I value most about my role is being able to support both the people we care for and the carers who are out there every day making a difference. Having started as a carer myself, I understand the realities of the role and how important it is for carers to feel listened to, valued and supported.
Care can be challenging, unpredictable and incredibly busy, but it can also be one of the most rewarding careers. No two days are ever quite the same, and knowing that the work we do can make a genuine difference to someone's quality of life is what makes it worthwhile.
For me, good care will always come back to something very simple: treating every person with the same kindness, dignity and respect that you would want for someone you love.
