Excellent care provided by Blakewater. They arrive on time, follow instructions and show and understanding towards my brother. Its the attention to small details that make then stand out. They are great at rapport building with their clients and will recommend them to all.

Would question if staff have had any training, if so must only be minimal.
Do not show respect to clients, make derogatory comments.
Attend to clients still wearing coats.
Do not understand complexity of some clients.
Cannot recognise an unwell client.
Reply from Denny Dodds, Registered Care Manager at Blakewater Homecare Services Ltd

We're saddened by this, especially after caring for your brother for over three years with calm, consistent carers who knew him well. We always tried to go the extra mile, we supported him through a house move, bringing his freezer from Church to Blackburn in a carer's own car, and reworked all our rotas to maintain continuity. We often picked up food ourselves, when shopping hadn't been sorted, and sometimes simply nipped in for a brew & a chat, because we knew he'd appreciate the company. His own feedback said he was 'always' treated with dignity and respect, and that Blakewater were "the best by far" out of the 5 other agencies he's had. We understand this review relates to his final invoice, and we respect that grief brings many feelings, but it's hard not to feel hurt when the care we gave, care we were proud of, is painted in a way that doesn't reflect the full picture. We'll miss him very much, and we hope, in time, the warmth and dignity he experienced with us will be remembered too.

We have a regular carer who is excellent. He looks after my husband very well and takes charge whilst he is here. His carer talks to him, asks him things and has made many suggestions to improve his well-being. Also takes him out in the community which my husband really enjoys as he has been unable
to access the community since Covid and decline in health.
As a company, Blakewater Homecare Services are very good. They try very hard to deliver a caring and supportive service!

Hello! I'm Denny, the Registered Care Manager at Blakewater Homecare. With an incredible 23 years of dedication to Adult Social Care, I have always found immense joy in supporting people within the community, helping folk remain comfortable in their own homes.

Throughout my fulfilling career, I've embraced various roles—from Care Worker to Care Co-ordinator to Quality Manager. Each position has enriched my understanding of the intricate nuances of care and what truly matters to both our cherished service users and our dedicated staff. These experiences, along with my Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management in Health and Social Care, have profoundly deepened my commitment to delivering nothing short of the highest quality service.

At Blakewater Homecare, we are wholeheartedly committed to fostering a culture where every individual feels genuinely valued and supported. We take pride in providing personalized care tailored to meet the unique needs of each person, ensuring they receive the utmost respect and dignity they deserve.

Hello! I'm Hussnain Ishfaq, the Managing Director of Blakewater Homecare. My journey into the care sector was deeply personal. I saw my own family members relying on carers who were overworked and undervalued. It was clear to me that things could be done better, so I decided to take action.

With my partner, Sahir Mahmood, I founded Blakewater Homecare to create a service that truly supports both service users and the dedicated people who care for them. Although I hadn't worked in care before, I completed all the necessary training to ensure I understood the industry inside out. Since launching in April 2022, we've been committed to delivering outstanding, person-centred care while fostering a positive and supportive environment for our staff.

As Managing Director, I oversee all things financial, but I firmly believe leadership goes beyond numbers and strategy. I regularly go out caring, meeting our team and service users, ensuring I stay connected with the heart of our work. At Blakewater Homecare, we recognise that a motivated and valued team delivers the best care, which is why we make sure our staff feel appreciated, whether it’s celebrating achievements, sharing moments over team meals, or simply acknowledging their dedication with a thoughtful gesture.

I'm passionate about making a real difference to local people and always keen to build connections within the sector. At Blakewater Homecare, we’re setting a new standard, one where compassion, quality, and respect are at the core of everything we do.

Job Title: Senior Carer Joined: 2022

I am proud to hold an NVQ Level 3 qualification, and I have also completed a Level 2 course in diabetes care. I'm excited to announce I'll be starting my level 5 soon! I began my career in the care sector around 8 years ago. Initially, I explored various job opportunities, but none of them felt right for me. I realised that I wanted to make a meaningful difference in people's lives on a daily basis, so I decided to look into a career in care. The working hours were also suitable for me, which further confirmed my decision.

From the moment I started working as a carer, I fell in love with the job. After dedicating approximately 6 years to the role, I decided to join the company I am currently with, and I have been extremely happy with that decision. Shortly after joining, I successfully completed my NVQ Level 3 diploma and was subsequently promoted to the position of Senior Carer. This achievement stands out as one of the proudest moments in my career.

Additionally, I took a short course and completed my Level 2 diabetes care qualification. The job offers numerous opportunities for growth and development, which I greatly appreciate. Every day is different, and there is no greater satisfaction than knowing you have made a positive impact on someone's life by the end of the day.

The flexible hours have allowed me to balance work with my family commitments, and even achieve my NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care while working at the same time!

My journey into care started in a very personal way, looking after my mum as she got older. I'd been caring for her for as long as I can remember, and after she passed, I felt a new sense of purpose and energy to help others in my local community who found everyday tasks a struggle. That experience gave me both the compassion and the reason to pursue a career in care.
Since then, I've gained lots of experience and built really strong relationships with the people I support. I find great satisfaction in making a real difference in someone's day, whether it's by helping with practical things or simply just spending time with them. One of the things I value most about this role is the flexibility, it allows me to work around my family commitments and still give myself fully to those that I care for.
I always try to treat everyone with the same kindness, respect, and dignity I gave to my mum. It truly is a privilege to support people to live more independently and to live with confidence
