The care agency De-Heritage International is the most reliable, competent, timely and committed to ensuring that I am comfortable. I am completely impressed with the professionalism of the staff.
De-Heritage International is providing respite, two staff sixteen hours per week. My daughter accepts them in the house but does not engage with them, this is primarily due to her fear of people, because of serious abuse that happened in the last home. Respite staff work six hours/six hours/four hours per day to make up the authorised sixteen hours per week. Staff do not do personal care or meal preparation. They can't make hot or cold drinks for her. She will stay in her room most of the time. Our daughter's situation is more complex. It is difficult for the staff to do anything for her.
De-Heritage International staff are trying their best to engage with her when she has mood swings, we usually manage the situation and calm her down. We have successfully engaged with her while cooking for her and she always enjoys this moment with us. We also take her out for community activities in the company of her dad and she always enjoys herself.
I have had nothing but the best of experiences with this agency and its carers and invariably my mother. The change in my mum since they have taken over her care has been monumental. My mum, who suffers from dementia and was previously unresponsive and off her food, is now a different person. She is responsive, eats her food and engages with us. She is well and her health has improved significantly due to the care and attention of the carers. They are attentive and professional. She is well turned out and clean and so is her home. The managers are the epitome of professionalism.
