Excellent service provided every day. The ladies that come for my son are always engaging and happy in their work. I feel confident leaving my son in their care. Caroline always goes above and beyond her job role for us. It is greatly appreciated.

I have found all carers to show patience and respect towards the client. They have demonstrated a professional approach in supporting a vulnerable person in their own home . They support, encourage and prompt him to undertake agreed tasks in order to promote his independence and they carry out other
necessary tasks to ensure acceptable levels of personal care and domestic cleanliness. Despite considerable communication difficulties they have shown a willingness to try to understand him and meet his needs.

Although it is early days, things are going well. Any issues are managed quickly and professionally. There have been a few shifts which have not been covered due to sickness and a number of times when carers have arrived late for their shift.

Professional staff and managers, always polite and kind. My son always feels comfortable and safe with his staff and can get along well with them, it's nice to hear them having a chat and a giggle whilst I make the evening meal and get on with other jobs while someone does this job. It one less job

My daughter is really happy with her support workers. She looks forward to them coming for her in the morning and always has a smile on her face when they arrive. They understand her needs and communicate with her through gestures and speech. They take her to places that she loves to go to and always
let me know what she's been up to when they bring her home.

I have had daily care from Nuliving for over a year now. To begin with, I had twice daily visits, but find I can cope at present to once per day. I have found the team of girls to be caring and competent in their work, always bright and cheerful and this also applies to office staff. I can't add any
more other than to say that I am happy with the service of care I get from Nuliving.

Helping Hands have been assisting my father for the last few months and what a change to his health. The ladies looking after him have been excellent in their approach and care.
I have been updated regularly which being as I live 300 miles away has been great.
I cannot praise the team enough for
what they have done and how well my father has responded.

The Helping Hands ladies have been caring for my 93-year-old Aunt for the past 18 months, 3 visits a day. She has her regular ladies who I know genuinely care for her well-being and are extremely considerate when visiting. My Aunt is a very private lady and originally didn't want strangers coming into
her home but very quickly became comfortable with them around. She doesn't think of them as carers, but friends calling to help out. The admin staff are wonderful and do their best to deal with any requests or issues I have had. Contact with the management has always been dealt with in a very professional manner. I call the ladies Angels in Disguise as they provide fantastic support, not just for my Aunt, but for me as well. It can be stressful being responsible for the welfare of an elderly person and it helps knowing she is getting the best home care possible. I honestly don't know what I would do without them all.

I would not recommend this service to anyone.
Some of the carers are completely unprofessional and very unpleasant. They don't read the care notes and know nothing about the needs of the person they're visiting - they admitted this! How can you provide care to someone when you don't understand their
needs? As a result, my mother's health deteriorated when they were coming in. Numerous carers, changed rotas, lateness. They were so unclean, absolutely disgusting. They'd wear the same gloves from before they walked in (when exactly did they put the gloves on?) until after they left. No handwashing, no changing gloves, even after one of them rifled through the bin, she continued to prepare food. Constantly touching their faces, hair, phones with those gloves on. Another just casually wiped toast crumbs onto the kitchen floor. I would spend a nighttime cleaning up after them and always found dishes and cutlery that they had 'washed' with food still stuck to them.
Reply from David Harrison, Managing Director at Helping Hands - West NorthumberlandWe are disappointed this matter was not brought directly to our attention. We could then have discussed and undertaken a thorough investigation. In this instance, we have not been given the detail or opportunity to investigate properly which leaves us frustrated and unable to address concerns raised. We have spoken to carers and are struggling to recognise any of the claims made in this complaint. Regular customer satisfaction surveys would reveal this complaint is a rarity with 98% of people saying they would recommend us to a friend.

A big thank you to all staff who attend and look after my dad. The care and time taken with my dad have been excellent this year especially given the circumstances we have found ourselves in through Covid-19. I know and appreciate everything you all do. Some members of staff go above and beyond. Many

I have been very happy with the care my mam received. Mam was very reluctant at first to accept carers into her home but adjusted quickly and enjoyed the visits. The carers were really supportive to me as a daughter and very caring towards my mam. The office staff were always helpful and acted quickly
to support mam's needs. I would very much recommend this service.

From May 2020, your staff supported my wife. Initially, things worked fine, but around the end of 2020, difficulties arose. A personality clash occurred; Helping Hands managers worked hard to resolve the issues. My wife now has four excellent ladies supporting her. She is really benefiting. Thank you.

Our mother came home from hospital to spend the final six weeks of her life in her own surroundings with the daunting thought of having carers in 4 times each day with someone staying overnight. This was made bearable by the friendly, caring approach of everyone at Helping Hands. They treated our Mam
with the utmost dignity and respect. A life expectancy of six weeks became twenty-two weeks in which trust and comfort was embedded. As a family, we could not have wished for any better for our Mam. The care given by a small team of carers was excellent. They were all dedicated to the practical and emotional care for our Mother, whilst extending their caring to emotionally supporting our Dad. Sadly, our Mother passed away whilst the overnight carers were present. The dignity and respect shown will never be forgotten. It was the extra touches that made the whole experience of losing our Mam very personal. They removed all the clinical items from her bedroom making it her bedroom again, carefully folding her nightdress on the chair so we could retain her presence through our senses. There are no words to convey our true appreciation.
