I am delighted that I have 1st Homecare to assist me when required I could not have more caring and helpful carers to come in. I would not hesitate to recommend the Company to anyone looking for care. I love having Amitha in because like all the others she is so very caring and nothing is too much trouble. I cannot say much more as everyone that I contact in the Company, being carers or office staff , are equally kind and helpful, friendly too

I broke my leg and needed assistance with showering until I regained full use of the affected leg and was able to look after myself. From my first meeting at my home to discuss my needs, I felt confident that I had chosen the right company. I was not quite sure when I needed the service to start. I was told that it could be started at fairly short notice which was absolutely true. The care service started with only three day's notice which was great. I was mainly looked after by two carers, both of whom were excellent, extremely punctual and efficient. 1st Homecare contacted me to gather feedback during the period I was receiving care, to make sure that any issues could be addressed (I didn't have any issues). The invoices were clear and it was very easy to pay by bank transfer. I would definitely recommend 1st Homecare in Leighton Buzzard and if I ever need assistance in the future, I will be turning to 1st Homecare.

I recently made the very difficult decision to change care providers for my mum due to her previous (also wonderful!) care agency not having the capacity to meet her increasing care needs following her discharge from a lengthy hospitalisation. Due to delays by the LA in getting her care out back to brokerage, 1st homecare were asked to start at very short notice, but they were very responsive and were able to quickly schedule the assessment and get her care plan done and in place. Office staff have been continuously responsive to new information provided and to requested changes to her care plan and scheduling over the last few months (and it's worth noting there have been many due to her complex needs and regular hospital appointments), and care staff have been consistently professional, caring and detail orientated in their work and demonstrate a high level of training and personalised care. They're definitely deserving of the "outstanding" CQC rating and I would highly recommend.

I have been receiving care from 1st Homecare for my husband for almost a year. All the carers are always friendly, kind & courteous to both my husband and to me. The carer arrives on time & carries out their work professionally. The agency is always available to answer any questions that I may have.

They usually ask mum want she wants to eat at breakfast and lunchtime calls

Very supportive and communictatve staff. Serve my mothers needs perfectly. Reassuring from my point of view for here to have alternative contact on a weekly basis and to be available for short trips out when I/we cannot fit it in.

1st Homecare provide daily care for my mother-in law, I couldn't ask for a friendly more caring team to do this. I cannot recommend 1st Homecare highly enough. The team are so caring, considerate, patient, and friendly, and they always put Mum first. It is clear they genuinely care about her wellbeing and happiness.

Mum especially loves seeing Lucy, who always makes her laugh and feels more like a friend than a carer. That connection means so much to us.

Recently, Mum had a fall and was admitted to hospital, so I had to cancel her carers at very short notice. Vicky, Ann-Marie, and Lisa were incredibly understanding throughout Mum's stay. They placed her package on hold without any fees and showed genuine concern for her recovery and wellbeing.

They are not just carers, they are outstanding people who make a real difference every day in both Mum's life and mine. The support and care they provide are truly exceptional.

The carers are good. They usually arrive near the scheduled time. (Usually +/- 15 minutes). However the scheduled time varies dramatically. Last night it was 8pm and the morning was 9:10. A total of 13 hours in bed. Tonight it is 10.05pm and tomorrow morning it is 7:10. A total of 9 hours in bed a difference of 4 hours. I prefer about 11 hours in bed +/- 30 minutes.

They are good at looking after me and feeding me.

1st Homecare have been providing care for my husband for several years and we have always found them to be very caring and helpful. All the staff, from the managers, office staff and the carers are good at responding to queries or concerns and make us feel supported.

I bless the day we found this company because it has made a world of difference to my Dad.

Although personal care for my wife was tried earlier this year, it stopped due to resistance from her. The primary care worker was very good but still unable to make a breakthrough. I am now using the sitting service and the regular worker is engaging with my wife well. The care company has been helpful and flexible meeting my carer needs. Communication is good.

All carers arrive promptly, they are polite and respectful. My husband enjoys their company and is able to spend time, chatting and playing board games, also doing jigsaws. He needs to spend time with different people and these visits stimulate his mind and helps his memory.

The management team are excellent, responding quickly to any request, helping with any difficulties. Always pleasant and organised.

One staff member in particular always makes mum feel heard!
