I am actually the daughter-in-law of the client and have POA. My mother-in-law has mixed dementia and responds differently to the carers every day, depending on her mood or level of anxiety. Like me, the carers never know in advance how she will be and whether she will accept help with anything, but
they all try hard to fulfil the care brief and will spend the visit sitting with her to provide company if that's all my mother-in-law will let them do (even though she struggles with conversation some days).
I know that the visits are having a positive impact because the number of confused and/or distressed calls my mother-in-law makes to me has decreased dramatically. It's also reassuring to me to know the carers are checking in on her regularly, as I'm not able to do this myself because I live some distance away and work.

Lou and all of the team at Melody Care in Alton have been amazing for my mum and especially for myself and my brother. When things were getting tricky before Christmas, Lou stepped in and helped ease the pressure on us to help mum daily. We now know that her medication is being taken correctly and on
time, she is being encouraged to up her fluid intake and offering her companionship and a daily chat. She really enjoys the coffee mornings that are organised by Lou too! All of these little things have helped us to worry about her being on her own a little less and everyone has been so kind. Thank you

How can we ever thank you all enough for the care and kindness you showed to our darling Mum. We had Mum at home in Bordon for her end of life care. Not only did you all support my Mum but you also supported us and gave us so much comfort. I would like to thank everyone of the carers we had the pleasure
in meeting and thank you doesn't seem enough.
We will be forever grateful we had the wonderful Melody carers looking after us.

The Melody Care team operating in Alton under Lou's guidance was an amazing support - a lifeline - for my 96-year-old Father in the last 15 months of his life. He desperately wanted to remain supported in his own home and without their visits (which went from one a day to four towards the end), he would
not have managed. As I and my brother live overseas, it was imperative our Father had reliable, caring, dedicated and competent home carers, for both his and our peace of mind, and I can say unfalteringly that the Melody team was impeccable. They were with him when he passed away, when family could not be, and showed immense respect and compassion to my Father, even attending his funeral. I can thoroughly recommend Melody to others who need elderly relatives supported in their homes.

I can't thank the carers and managers of Melody Care enough for the care they are providing to my husband at the end of his life and the support they are giving to me. Their job is made more difficult as my husband can't communicate but they always treat him with the utmost care and dignity and respect
and anticipate his needs. He is always pleased to see them and they make him smile. Nothing is too much trouble. They let me know what they have been able to do for him on each visit and post notes on their system providing continuity of care. They are wonderful and always ask me how I'm doing too and I missed them when my husband had to go into hospital. If I could give them more than 5 stars I would.

I want to express my appreciation for the outstanding care Melody Care provides for my father. Living a long distance away, it can be difficult to stay informed about his wellbeing, but their service makes this much easier and very reassuring. The standard of care is excellent, and it is clear my father
is happy and well looked after. Continuity is especially important as he has Alzheimer's, and Melody provides the consistency and reassurance he needs. Their communication is exceptional. The app is invaluable - I can see exactly what care has been given, when visits take place, and when the next one is due. This makes it simple to plan appointments and manage his needs from afar. In addition, the messaging app group they maintain with our family is fantastic, with immediate responses that allow me to organise medical and personal matters quickly and without stress. The staff are always friendly, adaptable, and genuinely caring. They give me peace of mind.

Melody Care have been looking after my husband since early April and care is ongoing. Although very unwell he is still pretty lively and enjoys chatting with the carers that come to see him. Without exception they are all friendly and kind and we are happy to welcome them into our home. It is true
that some carers are more experienced than their colleagues, and for the first visit of the day an understanding of my husband's requirements does help for the visit to run smoothly for both carer and himself.

Melody care, Aldershot branch, have provided excellent care for wife since January. Always keeping in contact and such brilliant people from managers to carers who we are proud to have. Even if there are any last minute changes, they contact us and always come up with solutions to ensure my wife gets

The manager and a staff member came to the hospital to meet Mum, Dad, and my sister and I. They were so friendly and kind. Everything was put in place very quickly and we didn't have to worry. After Mum was home, all the carers that visited were extremely kind and friendly and handled Mum with dignity.
They also took Dad's needs into account and looked after him in a kind and friendly manner. Listening to him and my brother sister and I when we needed to talk. Although Mum only had 4 and a half weeks at home I felt we had the best end with Mum, we could have had, with lots of help from the lovely staff of Melody Care.

We have used Melody Care for the last two years since Mum was diagnosed with dementia. We have now entered a new phase with Mum now having end of life care following a metastatic cancer diagnosis.
I can't speak highly enough of the excellent care being provided from carers who really DO care, not
just for Mum but also looking out for me, as the main supporter of mother.
They have dealt with social services on my behalf and that's taken quite a bit of stress away. They really are our friends and I can't thank them enough.

My Dad had secondary bone cancer and wanted to spend what little time he had left in his own home surrounded by family, which I believe was only made possible due to the Melody Care team. The hospital were trying to discharge him before a special bed had even been delivered, thankfully a manager from
Melody Care called the company and got it delivered the same day!
She organised a live in carer, extra daily visits to help move and clean him and even a waking night carer to help Dad cope with the night terrors he was having. She also liaised with the District nurses and a hospice care when required, all whilst keeping us updated 24/7 via the WhatsApp group she created for us.
It was made very clear that the team were always there for us which gave us peace of mind during a terrible situation.
When my Dad passed, the team came straight to his home, gave him a dignity wash and dressed him for us, they also spoke to him whilst doing it.
Thank you again for taking such great care of Dad.

Overall, I am happy with the service Melody Care provide. More importantly our mum is happy. She likes the carers and it seems they like mum.
The communication between us is good and I know if there are any concerns going forward, we would resolve them and that brings a sense of relief. They are the
support we need.

Really pleased with Dad's care.
All the staff are friendly, caring and helpful. My experience, from walking in the office to asking for advice to the care my dad received has been nothing but positive.
I would definitely recommend using Melody Care.
