The care my mother received at the start was very good and can't fault it (apart from one carer!) It has got gradually worse hence I've only rated satisfactory which is a shame. If you are going to employ foreign workers I would suggest that they need a lot more training in the food prep side of things
because their culture is totally different from our own. My main concern is the lack of communication from the company.

Husband is blind/partially sighted. Fell fracturing his shoulder, was in hospital three days. On discharge, Retain Healthcare helped to wash and dress him. Unable still to walk unaided, has a frame for support. Carers came twice daily, then the evening session was not required. We are both in our late
eighties and it is a great support to me (his wife) as I am not so mobile these days.

I'm very pleased to hear that the carers have been working hard to build up my father's confidence in using his electric mobility chair. The controls are very sensitive and he was hesitant to use it. Over time, he has gained experience and his confidence in its use has grown. I believe he has even ventured
outside into the community; he's done some independent shopping and used the local cash machine. I hope this will continue as he becomes more independent. Thank you to all the Retain Healthcare staff for your efforts so far. I'd like to see this activity continue going forward.

I was told by nurses at the hospital, that Retain had said I did not clean my wife as well as they do. Sorry, I thought that's what you were meant to do.
That is a joke, at least I did not leave bits of faeces still stuck to my wife's legs after you, so-say finished.

Retain Healthcare strikes me as a company made up entirely of compassionate, capable and dedicated people. Mum came out of the hospital many months ago and is now going into a care home. All of Mum's care has been managed by Retain in the in-between. They don't forget things, they don't skimp on time
or allow Mum to feel like a burden. Each and every one of the team have taken the time to build a proper relationship with Mum and also with me. I know that if only it was an option, Mum would rather stay right where she is, being cared for by the Retain team until the end of days.

I really appreciate the carers being there when I can’t; they respect him and help him with tasks he can’t do himself. It’s very important to him that he can stay in his flat, which Retain allow him to do. Sometimes the training of staff is variable. The front office is always really positive and listens
to my concerns, even if staff shortages across the industry make it hard to continue service.

I find all of the carers to be very kind and helpful to my husband and also to me. I would not be able to keep my husband at home without their help. They are very patient with him and he is very pleased to see them.

I have nothing but praise for the Retain team. They have supported my brother wonderfully for many years. They go above and beyond to help him and to ensure he accesses services as and when he needs them, liaising with health care staff and making sure my brother's needs are understood. They act with
compassion, integrity and genuine care for those they look after. The team responds promptly to all queries and are always happy to receive feedback and work together to support the individual. A definite person-first approach! A wonderful example was a trip to a football match which my brother enjoyed tremendously. As a family, we cannot thank them enough!

My mother has very good carers whom she is happy with and likes to see the same people. They are always kind to her and she talks about them as if they are her friends. As they are regular carers it is good for is as she can be quite fussy. The family are all very happy with her care.

My father has been receiving home care from Retain Healthcare Ltd for the past 5 months. It is only now that my father has now gone into a care home, the care provided by Retain Healthcare has stopped. Over the past 5 months, I could not fault any of the carers that provided care to my Father. Every
one of them was caring, compassionate and met all his needs every day. I would not hesitate in recommending Retain Healthcare Ltd to anyone who requires care at home.

The staff go above and beyond the call of duty. As well as being carers they have become friends. The office staff are extremely helpful, nothing is too much trouble. I would not hesitate to recommend to others.

Retain have been looking after my wife since she came out of the hospital (apart from a short spell when another company were put in). We have been happy with the care and carers. Only one time when they arrived an hour easily and cause disruption, a phone call would have suffied.
