I am happy with the care my Dad is receiving from Royal Care. All the staff that assist my Dad are very respectful and treat him with dignity. They interact with him respectfully and care for him well. I have been present when the carers arrive and have heard them talk and joke with my Dad which is
lovely to hear. The carers also interact with my Mum well as she is the main carer for my Dad with my support. My Mum would not be able to manage without the caring support from the carers, and it would not be possible keep him at home. The standard of care is excellent and I have no concerns. Having the monthly review from Royal Care manager is valuable as if there is any concerns they are sorted out efficiently. All the family are very pleased with the care my Dad is getting and I thank all the carers for what they do and as it means so much to me as my Dad can stay at home with my Mum with there support. I thank you all for your care and treating my Mum and Dad with respect. Thank you all

Royal Care nursed my Mum when she was dying of cancer. They took such good care of her and treated her with the dignity and respect that Mum deserved. The team were excellent and helped my Dad and I through this very sad and difficult time. It was so helpful that they could offer help at night as my
80 year old Dad was exhausted by night's of broken sleep. For a fee, a member of staff would do a night duty and watch over my Mum so that Dad knew she was safe when he slept. Immediately after mum died, Dad was diagnosed with heart failure. Again we turned to Royal Care so he could stay in his own home. They offered him a bespoke twice a day visiting plan assisting with meal preparation, washing and ironing etc. He knows all the staff so well and they are all so kind, respectful and friendly! If anything was amiss at a visit, they would immediately alert me offering me assurance of Dad safety.
I would 100 percent recommend Royal Care for the excellent service that they provide!

Royal care staff are wonderful!
This is from both myself and my mother that has the care from you. They are thorough, friendly, efficient and above all, caring. We are very happy with the service.
My mother has formed lovely relationships with them and we couldn't wish for kinder carers to trust my
mother with
The only thing I don't know how to check is the actual time they spend there? What time they arrive and what time they leave?
David is always available to sort out any queries or amendments and I would recommend them to any family that want to retain a family feel for their loved them
Thank you royal care

The manager of the care team has been extremely helpful.
The care the client is receiving is good. A little gets lost in translation at times as client is deaf but all the team are very helpful. Without care the client would not be able to live alone .
A complete change of bedding once a week and
light house work is now to be received if time constraints apply that will be a huge help, for that the family are very grateful. Without care the client could not wash or dress so Thankyou.

The only issue I have is not being notified of changes to my rota. I have a 12 year old son and when I am bad he will answer the door and will go by the name on the rota, when it is changed and we are not told. This becomes a safety issues for my son.
Reply from Lucy Forrester, Operations Manager at Royal Care CanterburyThank you for your feedback.
Im sorry you havent been notified when your rota has changed. We understand this can create a safety concern, especially if your son answers the door.
We will make sure all future rota changes are communicated to you in advance, with clear confirmation of the carer attending. We are also reminding staff of the importance of notifying clients promptly whenever any changes are made.

My mother has only been using the service for just over two weeks and she is pleased with the service received so far. The initial introduction with the manager was very good and he responded quickly to my queries with the Contact and Service User document. We receive a weekly roster of the carers who
will attend my mother and they are all very pleasant and chat with her in a friendly and courteous manner. They check every time if there is anything else they can do before they leave. They clean up before they go and dispose of any waste in the bins outside. As her daughter I am very please that I can review the carers visit every time using the app which gives me piece of mind on the days I am unable to visit.
It is too early to say if they are value for money due to the short time we have been using them however they are of value as I cannot be there 24 hrs a day and I wish to remain her daughter not her carer.

My mother is very pleased with the care she's receiving for bathing and light domestic tasks once a week. She reports her carer is very respectful, thoughtful and capable and has put her mind at rest. When she was away, a colleague came and she too had the same skilful and respectful approach. This
has been a big step for my mother who is very independent and was a little resistant to the idea of having carers. We are all very grateful.

The actual carers are very good. Very professional friendly and cheerful. If I have a fault it would be with the management who don't seem to care about the pressure they are putting there staff through. The distance and routes between clients isn't taken into consideration and it will only be worse
when the dark and wet weather comes upon us and the carers have to drive down winding dark country roads and have limited time in between calls
Reply from Lucy Forrester, Operations Manager at Royal Care CanterburyThank you for your feedback and for recognising the professionalism and dedication of our carers - we're very proud of the work they do. We're sorry to hear your concerns about scheduling and travel routes.
