Overall Experience
Since August 2024, A&R Gaurdian Services have provided exceptional care to my husband following a severe stroke. Two carers visit four times a day providing appropriate and tailored care to meet his personal needs, adapting to his daily needs when required. The carers engage with my husband and are professional, reliable, punctual, friendlly, comperent, helpful and caring.
The management team are helpful and approachable quickly dealing with issues or questions I raise.

Overall Experience
The carers are very kind and polite. They follow all instructions given. They show respect to mum. They always make sure she is clean and happy. If there is something to report they leave a note and vice versa and it is resolved quickly. If there was an app for me to download, then I feel I would know more. For example what she has eaten.

My mother is 78 years old and suffers from chronic COPD, mild dementia and is also completely bed ridden after suffering 3 strokes. Our experience with A&R was horrendous. Mum was given out of date food multiple times. She was also given reheated microwave food that had also been left out all day despite multiple complaints to the manager by myself her son. After confronting her carers regarding the food they showed no knowledge of food hygiene safety practices.
Mum was also left in dangerous positions in her bed despite the manager being given the correct procedures to follow due to choking concerns by the frailty nurse.

Mum was also given the wrong inhaler on numerous occasions and failing to flag the wrong inhaler had been supplied was also an issue, she was also given the wrong dose of medication and sometimes not at all. Mum's fingernails and toenails were in a terrible state. Ultimately I had to make a safeguarding complaint which resulted in A&R being removed.
