After a 72 hr assessment via care provider ,we have had Cherish going into my Dad for 48 hours and they have yet to provide ANY care ????
Turning up over 1 hour late from times we have agreed on, he's not been washed or clothes changed and not been offered food as they turned up at 7.15 last night
for his tea!!! I've been myself this morning to get him up, wash, dress and feed him as weve been told they can only " fit" him in at 10 30am this morning.
He is paying private for this so called care!
Disgusting ,we wont be using them for much longer.
I shudder to think what care and support others get when they have no one to speak for them.
Reply from Sam Stockell, Registered Manager at Cherish UK Ltd - WiganI have looked into the concerns you have raised. During your dads assessment with the TOCH (Transfer of Care) team, times are discussed and the times given are within a time frame, we do not give set times while a package of care is under the TOCH team, once the 72 hour package goes over to the care provider then you would be allocated a more regular time. I have looked into the concerns around the personal care and meals. Following the visit notes carers have provided personal care and dressing on most visit, a few of the visits your dad has declined, carers have encouraged him but he has still declined. Porridge has been prepared at breakfast and on some visits family have prepared tea. Following the assessment with the TOCH team, staff were to prompt with nutritional support at breakfast and at tea it is to prepare a meal. The TOCH team would monitor the visit notes over the 72 hours and anything they feel your dad is struggling with they would discuss at the transfer assessment.

Absolutely appalling service! This care company simply don't care, I have missed several hospital appointments due to their incompetence.
