Unfortunately, communication was very poor. Ended up paying for extra 6 weeks of care when my Mum went into hospital. One visit was attended and when no answer there was no contact from the company to check the reason for this which would have alerted us to the need to cancel the service. Really unfortunate to have a lack of compassion in an already very stressful period for my parents. Carers themselves were good, however. Need a better system for these situations as I am sure they are not infrequent!
We have also rolled in new policies to ensure...
Mum has carers that visit her four times per day and always find them helpful, friendly and professional. The same applies to my dealings with the management. I feel we were very fortunate to choose Broomfield and be one of their clients. Thoroughly recommended.
Thank you very much for your lovely review. All of our carers really look forward and enjoy going to visit your mum.
I cannot thank everyone at Broomfield enough for the care and compassion they showed my friend who wanted to stay in her own home, rather than move into a nursing home. Not only did they provide personal care, give her medication and make meals, they also ensured her dog had his meals too. The final couple of weeks of my friend's life were extremely difficult, but there was always someone at Broomfield available to come and help with palliative care, or be on the end of the phone providing support. Thank you!
Thank you for this lovely review. Caring for your friend was nothing but a pleasure.
I would have appreciated to have seen more continuity with the carers attending said my mother. This allows the carer to get to know their client and see if any deterioration taking place.
Otherwise, I was very satisfied with the care.
Many thanks for your review, we value all feedback.
One area for improvement is that I raised three areas of focus for the short visits and these aren’t followed through.
Thank you very much for your review. All of our carers look forward to going to visit your mother.
Excellent service. All the staff were very kind and respectful. We would definitely use them again in the future if needed. We only used them for a few weeks while Dad recovered from a hip replacement, but we would highly recommend them.
Many thanks for your lovely review. It was such a pleasure looking after Dad and if you ever need care again - we would welcome him back with open arms!
I can honestly recommend them wholeheartedly.
Thank you for this lovely heartwarming review. Caring for your dad was nothing but a pleasure and all carers really enjoyed visiting him.
Broomfield Care have been caring for my mother for a number of months. The staff are willing, kind and caring and work to a high standard. The telephone is always answered immediately with a friendly response and the managers are always accessible and helpful. The communication is excellent and informative. Thank you to you all.
Thank you very much for your lovely review. All of our carers look forward to going to visit your mother.
Broomfield really care about their service users. As a daughter, I am kept regularly updated on how my mum and dad are doing. The carers who visit are so friendly and do a good job. My parents enjoy seeing them. Without the care they get, they would not be able to live in their own home.
Thank you for this lovely review Wendy. Caring for your parents is nothing but a pleasure.
The care provided by the manager and her team, was exceptional, always cheerful, kind and with my father's best interests at heart. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they cared for him as if he was their own loved one.
Thank you for this lovely review. Caring for your dad was nothing but a pleasure and all carers enjoyed visiting him.
The carer who frequently attends is brilliant and she goes the extra mile. She is always pleasant and conscientious. Mainly due to technology, during this past year, I have found communication somewhat hit and miss.
Thank you for your kind comments regarding your carer. Sorry to hear that you have been experiencing problems with communication, please do not hesitate to contact the office and we will be happy to help resolve any issues.
From our first day with Broomfield, we have landed on our feet! What care and compassion and also understanding has been given to us as a couple. Nothing is too much trouble. They are reliable, fun-loving, and chatty, we didn't have that experience before. We have been with the company for two weeks (today!) Feels as though it has been forever. We would have no hesitation in recommending them.
Thank you so much Ros for your kind words and lovely review. It is a pleasure to visit you both.
If you need home care and are lucky enough to use Broomfield, you should consider yourself extremely fortunate. From the first contact, they have been the most warm-hearted, professional and thoughtful team I have ever encountered in my years as a carer and also working for the NHS. Broomfield looked after my lovely father-in-law until he passed away recently. Dad looked forward to their visits and they all became like family, we couldn't have asked for more. Thank you Broomfield Care.
Thank you for this lovely review. Caring for your father-in-law was nothing but a pleasure.
We used Broomfield care for a year or two prior to my step mum's death. The care was always really consistent and the carers always responded well to unexpected situations with the utmost care, kindness and compassion. I was always so impressed by the carer's attention to those small details that make the world of difference to elderly people. My stepmom's condition deteriorated at a very difficult time, the carers were incredible. I will never forget their kindness and sensitivity, they all went above and beyond to help me and my dad. Between us, we created such a special space for her passing, filled with love, care and attention. I could not have wished for more. My dad and I will never forget the exceptional care we received. The ladies from Broomfield are exceptional and I will recommend them every time. When my dad needs more care, I will also look forward to them providing the service.
Thank you so much for your kind words and lovely review.
Broomfield carers have been wonderful since they started looking after my mum in January this year. They call once a day in the morning, to help her shower, get dressed and have breakfast. Mum thinks they are all fantastic and I would have no hesitation in recommending Broomfield, based on our experiences so far.
We are pleased to have recently engaged Bloomfield to look after my mother. The office staff are friendly and helpful and the carers that have attended, have arrived on time and have done what Mother wanted in a pleasant and professional manner.
Broomfield made the transition from routine visits to end of life care for my Mum, as seamless as is possible. I was reassured Mum would be cared for by staff who knew her and myself. I was involved in Mum’s care, both Mum and I were treated with the utmost respect and Mum's dignity was maintained. All staff from managerial to hands-on carers were of an understanding nature and nothing was too much trouble. If ever I require care, I wouldn’t hesitate to use Broomfield Care.
Broomfield has always been excellent at caring on a daily basis for mum in the past year, unfortunately, when mum fell seriously ill, Broomfield staff were truly amazing in Mum's final few days. Can’t praise them highly enough.
Excellent care and lovely people. My Mother-in-law wanted to stay in her own home as long as possible and Broomfield made that possible. We thank them very much for the time they gave in helping her. They made her life a lot easier and I would definitely recommend them.
All in all, I am very happy with the care that is being given.

Meet the Team (7)
Vicky Hall, the owner of Broomfield Care, has over 20 years of experience at the sharp end of care. She has provided care and support in a variety of different roles, from working with vulnerable adults and children in care to working in care homes for the elderly and for people with learning disabilities.
Vicky established Broomfield Care at the beginning of 2008. Shortly before this her Grandmother had become older and needed additional support. However, when Vicky tried to organise home care for her, she couldn’t find a company that matched up to her high expectations of quality care, delivered by dedicated and committed staff.
Vicky then decided to set up her own business providing care for others at the level she believed everyone was entitled to. She named the company after the hamlet her Grandmother had lived in, Broomfield in Kent.
At Broomfield Care, Vicky is supported by a hand-picked team of dedicated, committed and highly-skilled professionals.
Charlotte joined the team as Deputy Manager in September 2021, and immediately loved the welcoming spirit of the team. Since then, Charlotte has been promoted to Care Manager, in 2023.
Charlotte has been developing her experience within the care sector since she left school at 18, specialising in dementia, end of life and elderly care. She enjoys the variety of people she interacts with on a day-to-day basis, making everyday very different! She is especially proud of the level of care we provide, promoting person-centred care and independence within ones home.
I now work full time for Broomfield Care where I can use my experience and training.
