Excellent care ,kind caring caregivers.
Always double check with a family member if they are concerned,absolutely no complaints.
My parents are treated with respect and dignity, allowing myself and my sister to step back from caring and enjoy quality social time with our parents.

Continuation of excellent care for my wife despite continuing changes and complications with her health. It is quite amazing how she picks up on the arrival of the team and the stimulation she is given during the visit. Brilliant!

The carers who have been coming to my wife have been brilliant in what they do for us.
They are cheerful and always have a smile and kind words for us both.

The staff look after my husband very well. He has a good sense of humour and can have a laugh with them. They do a great job and it takes the pressure off me so I can get things done and go out if I want too.

Since summer of 2024, Candlelight Carers have been coming to help with my husband's morning care and it's always a pleasure to see them. We really do appreciate them. They are always kind and gentle with him, taking care, time and effort to get him ready for the day. They leave having given great service
with lots of smiles making the days worthwhile.

My mum has the pleasure of the lovely ladies who call on her twice a day, they really are the best they cannot do enough for her. She has recently been diagnosed with dementia and the care they give is so lovely and kind she can't wait to see them and even with her broken hearing aids, she says they
have a lovely chat. She really does depend on them and they step up to the mark, we cannot fault them at all.

We are so pleased with the service provided for Mum by Candlelight. We find all the staff to be extremely kind, caring and courteous. It is so good to know that Mum is being well looked after. She really enjoys their daily visits.

We have received Candlelight Care for over 1 year now and feel like the carers are part of our family. Nothing is a bother to them and always smile and lift spirits. Professional, clean, attentive, respectful, helpful, cheery, hard-working. Carers have to be a special kind of person as it isn't a job
career for the wages, it's commitment and special caring personalities.
Highly recommend.

A real focus on supporting Mum as an individual, balancing safety and care with meeting her preferences and being flexible where possible. Carers are polite and friendly and engage in discussion about Mum's needs and wishes. The company clearly do their best to provide consistency in carers and timings.
The office team are also always polite and helpful.

On 23rd December 2022, I was assigned to rapid response care for approximately six weeks upon my discharge from hospital. I was then 'taken-on' by Candlelight until 22/02/2023 when I started with another care company. I was told I was being moved on 12th April 2023 but no one knew where or with whom!
I had no care from 12/04/23 when I was again contacted by Candlelight and I have been with them ever since! A brilliant company with great carers, all of them!

I want to thank my carers for all they do to help me. This service is valuable to me.
I would not be able to cope without their help, this is the best agency I have used. I would never leave candlelight care. The office staff are very good too.

Excellent care team so far, very kind and caring, well trained and always helpful, very supportive of client and me, as a carer. Very pleased with the service.
Consistency is very important, both for the client and the carer and I hope that we can continue with 07:45-08:30 in the morning and 19:30-19:00,
approximately, in the evenings, mornings are critical.

Candlelight Care team have been supporting my brother to live independently in his own home since losing both of our parents. He always enjoys the company and support he receives, helping him with personal care needs, meal prep and reassurance. He has learning difficulties and cerebral palsy and their
care helps make it possible to lead and develop his independence. The office team are always helpful and notify family if there are staff shortages, time changes or my brother's not well.

I have had Candlelight Care for about six months. So far, the "girls and boys" have been very good and I am very happy with them. My wife says they always ask if there is anything they can do before going if there is time left. Perhaps the office could let the carers who have not been before know that
they just walk (open) the gate in the wall to get to our yellow front door. Thank you.

I have been helped by Candlelight Care for a long time and I could not have coped without them. Their help is still essential for me, however, I know that they have had problems for several months due to illness and recruitment so the remaining carers need to work even harder than before. some of them
cope well with this but it is very hard, demanding work so some of them have to go off sick adding to the Covid cases. It is not the same as it used to be.

Mandy Shuckford

Teresa joined Candlelight Care back in 2013, starting as a care and support worker and now as a Team Leader, carrying out staff observations, client reviews and anything else that she is asked to do.

As our Recruitment Officer, Roxanne (Roxy) helps us to find new care and support staff to look after our clients in their own homes. In addition to posting new jobs on job sites, social media, and other outlets, she attends recruitment fairs and is constantly looking for ways to improve our recruitment process. She supports our potential new employees from the moment they apply for a job until they are invited for an interview, answering their questions, chasing up CVs and applications, and sometimes meeting for an informal chat in person or on the phone.


Prior to joining Candlelight Care Roxy provided private care on a 1:1 basis for an individual with Downs Syndrome and Dementia in Cornwall, and she has also worked as a ‘Field Supervisor’ (CTM) for a care company in Torbay, supporting a team of care workers with supervisions, spot-checks and medication sign-offs. So she understands the rewards and challenges of care work!

Away from the office, Roxy is a member of the Mere Amateur Dramatics society, which put on two productions a year in the Spring and Autumn. She has always loved performing and studied Acting at University, where she was able to tour regionally and Internationally in their productions.
