I have had Candlelight Care for about six months. So far, the "girls and boys" have been very good and I am very happy with them. My wife says they always ask if there is anything they can do before going if there is time left. Perhaps the office could let the carers who have not been before know that they just walk (open) the gate in the wall to get to our yellow front door. Thank you.

I have been helped by Candlelight Care for a long time and I could not have coped without them. Their help is still essential for me, however, I know that they have had problems for several months due to illness and recruitment so the remaining carers need to work even harder than before. some of them cope well with this but it is very hard, demanding work so some of them have to go off sick adding to the Covid cases. It is not the same as it used to be.

Thank you for your truthful review - yes Covid certainly put a strain on our staff and our services.

My mother has had care from Candlelight Care since 2015. Overall, she and I have been very satisfied with the care she has received. The carers are genuinely caring, thoughtful and helpful. In general, visits are on time, mostly in our preferred window of time. There are regular reviews of my mother's needs. So, in summary, it has been a good experience.

Your carers are so friendly and helpful. They make our beds once a week. Do the washing up from time to time and take letters to post.

Generally a good, caring staff group but sometimes not good at detail, good at confidentiality. Always bright and cheerful and quick to notice changes in skin integrity. All in all, a good team.

I have been very happy with the care given to my Mum. My only issue was the time slots from morning to lunch were very short gaps at times. Mum is very happy with her carers and they are very pleasant and helpful to her needs.

Candlelight Care looked after my husband and supported me for about three years. I was in hospital having hip surgery when he passed away in a home, mainly due to Covid. When I got home, Candlelight carried on supporting me while I recovered. I couldn't have managed without them.

Generally punctual, business-like and friendly. I think it's a pity that none of the bosses come and see clients. Have not met any.

Reply from Deb Puxty, Quality Assurance/Operations Manager & Corporate Lead for HR at Candlelight Care (Dorset, Somerset & Wiltshire)

Thank you for your review of our services. With reference to the comment about 'the bosses' coming out to visit you. We do have Team Leaders out in the community which are our links from the community to the office. I will arrange for one of them to come out and visit you, in case you have not met one of them before.

The turnover of staff is very high and the time schedules differ from what is given to you of the times and staff.

The management, very unprofessional! A lot of falsifying and cover-ups by them, some of the carers are always in a rush, with me cleaning up afterwards.
